If Blue crabs are your jam, this is 100% a must try!…read more Lured by the intrigue of AYCE Maryland blue crabs, we made our trip on a hot August Saturday. Huge outdoor tents with picnic tables and a sandy floor really set the scene for us. We ordered a bucket of beer and dug in as soon as our trays of crab came out. Good, but not strong or spicy flavors and our server was Jane-on-the-spot to offer up another helping when she saw us getting low. The AYCE comes with corn & Hush Puppies, which are tasty and not too large, but I personally left behind the extra carbs in favor of more crab pickin'. The kids from a table near loved the sandy floor, occupying themselves building small sandcastles while their parents enjoyed a similar Crab heavy table - so great for families. Pro tip: Make sure to grab a table that's level - the sandy floor and hilly ground make for some tilting table-tops so beer placement must be careful!

We arrived just as they were opening and the first question asked was "take out or eat in?" I just had to laugh because to eat in meant eating outside under a tarp roof on paper covered picnic tables. And, yes if you are going to enjoy a Maryland crab shack you don't do take out ... you eat in!! The young man waiting on us was scrambling because his co-worker was running late but he provided us with the service we wanted including his recommendation to go for the fried ... if we wanted the best! The three of us were really enjoying out lunches until we saw the platters carried out to nearby tables. OH MY the crab and shrimp made our mouths water ... we wanted more but really weren't hungry but each piece of seafood looked perfect. Definitely will make a return visit when the season opens ... it's only a 2 hour drive ... worth the drive but next time I will be really hungry!!!

We were seated right away- they were quite crowded but service was still extremely efficient and friendly. We started with cocktails that were strong and delicious! We all shared the calamari which was delicious! The crab dip was good- just kind of weird a huge dish covered with cheese - served with lots of bread and crackers. For dinner I ordered scallops Rockefeller- not what I expected- each individual scallop was topped with Rockefeller topping. It was ok , but I wouldn't order it again. One of us got baked salmon- it was very good. Another got a crab cake that was also very good. The baked potato was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant! All in all we were satisfied with our meal would return.

They do have a crab eating area, an outdoor patio, and a restaurant are for non crab eaters. They also have a small bar area inside as well. The menu is extensive and you can find something even if not eating crabs. They have a large selection of apps, salads, entrees, and even desserts! We went for crabs and they were beyond delicious! Ordered the jumbo and the large. Very good size and reasonably priced for crabs and what we got. They do serve them with butter or vinegar upon request. You even get a warm water bowl with lemon for washing up when done. We also ordered the filet - yum, and the boneless chicken wings which were also tasty. The main focus was the crabs. So much so that I snapped pics on the way in and once the crabs were delivered I was elbow deep into Old Bay and couldn't snap any more. We also ordered dessert - crème brûlée and key lime pie. Do not skip dessert! Lots of things are made in house. Our server was absolutely amazing! I believe his name was Dale. Ask for him!! None of our drinks were ever empty and he was super attentive and friendly. Just a terrific person and experience due to his emphasis on customer service:

We have had many experiences at Snatcher's, I think it's about time I left a review…read more Snatcher's is a small family owned business that never fails to disappoint. Service is always great. The food is always fantastic. We have yet to have a negative experience at Snatcher's. On a warm evening, we prefer to sit outside next to the creek and enjoy a well priced pint of Loose Cannon overlooking the little stream. I love their specials. We have on multiple occasions ordered the pretzels with cheese and the dip was homemade. It doesn't sound like a big deal but if you've been served your fill of canned nacho cheese, you can appreciate a well made, house crafted dip. I also love their crab melt. As a Marylander for life, I love my crab. Can't get enough. Pathetic crab cakes break my heart. The very thought of crab on an English muffin sounds horrific but somehow, Snatcher's manages to pile on the most tasty lump crab imperial with melted cheese on a toasted English muffin in a way that makes me come back again and again. It is so good. Another classic not to be missed is the hangover burger. They will cook the burger to your choice of temp (which is my personal baseline for restaurants I will return to) and it's got a fried egg and bacon on it. Yes please! I would highly recommend Snatcher's to any friends and family looking for a good meal and great service at affordable prices. Arrive early - seating is limited and the place fills up fast.

Located in a super cute small town along the water with on street parking along the main drag way, as well as a designated parking area. There is indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating. This place gets busy and you will figure out why once you come. We did have reservations so call if possible. The menu is chock full of choices. There's a wide range of offerings so you will find plenty of options. Bread and butter starts your lovely journey into taste bud adventures. We started with their famous Vinny's crab balls which were tasty little gems. For food, we ordered the prime rib special which was absolutely massive and cooked to perfection. The chicken Chesapeake was deliciousness. Also ordered the liver and onions which was just as amazing as the previous too. If you like liver get this!!! Every dish came with two sides. Baked potatoes, sautéed zucchini and fried zucchini (get this) were ordered. Also had the cole slaw (so good) and some tasty sweet potato fries. There wasn't one thing out on our table that wasn't good. Seriously. The value you get for what you pay is astonishing. Literally. No notes. You will be shocked at the quality and quantity of what you are getting for what you are paying. They do have a tempting dessert menu/case. We couldn't fit it after these portions! We took some to go boxes that had enough leftovers for another meal. Should have gotten dessert to go. Don't make our mistake! Go out of your way for this place!! Maybe they can only cook one piece of fish for blackening at a time. I dunno. The food easily took 45 minutes to arrive. Not our usual experience here. Especially midweek.
