Best crabs I had in a very long time. This will be my go to spot whenever I'm in delaware.

Really cute place but left very conflicted in terms of reviews…read more Made reservations because it was Wilmington restaurant week but we were the only people in there for a while. Started at a table and then learned there were happy hour specials only at the bar. They refused to give us HH pricing at our table even though we were the only people in there so we relocated to the bar. The bartender seemed skilled and looked like he was making an incredible cocktail. Both cocktails were absolutely terrible and tasted like perfume. Extreme let down. The meal had highlights like the shrimp and grits and steak, everything else was flavorless and not worth the money. It's a beautiful place and had live music but I don't think there's anything that would make me come back.

The seats are comfy, with backs, and there's a place to rest your feet. They have a few TVs, so you can watch sports too. The friendly bartender greeted us with menus and asked if we needed a minute before ordering drinks, and we did, because they have a nice, interesting, creative cocktail list. I had the Grill Your Fruit Honey, a whiskey drink, and it was delectable, but I was very tempted by the Does a Pear Spritz in the Woods? It was Saturday brunch time, so we got one item from their Brunchy menu and one from their main menu. We picked the Famous Post Breakfast Sandwhich with smoked chicken. The server recommended a runny egg, and it was perfect. I had my eye on the BLT, so we went with it. It was so good!! The bacon was thick, crispy, and so flavorful. The bread was perfectly toasted. We had a hard time picking a fav sandwhich, but I think the BLT won. We ordered a side of their cheesy grits, and they were award-winning, and I'm from the south, so I know grits.

Beautiful dinner. I love to cook and I get so disappointed when we go to dinner and it's just…read moresub-par. I can say without a doubt that the Chef at Eclipse LOVES to cook and cares about what he/she puts on a plate. Amazing food. Husband had the pork chop and was beyond pleased with his food. Had a maple bacon glaze - need I say more....and was cooked to perfection; seared and caramelized on the outside, but juicy inside. I had the chicken dish and it was equally amazing. The skin was rendered and so crunchy AND meat was so tender. Was sitting in a perfect lemony sauce, served with super crunchy potatoes. Also, the staff was so personable and attentive. Just a pleasure. We are in Delaware from Ft Lauderdale, and are so thankful for Yelp reviews. They led us to Eclipse and we are SO HAPPY they did. Thank you Eclipse Bistro for a memorable, beautiful dinner!

The place has a sophisticated atmosphere, serves pleasant music, and offers a wide variety of food, drinks and desserts. Andrew, who works as a bartender, was very friendly and gave me a glass of water while I was waiting. The level of customer service is excellent - I'm going to return again!

Luckily we for there right before the larger Sunday breakfast/brunch - it was only like a 5 minute wait if that. But even with the influx of people we saw come in about 10 minutes after we were seated, they have a good process where it seemed like they were still able to seat those groups in reasonable time. We kept it simple this time ordering just one brunch drink and our individual entree. The portion and see if sizes are still very large - we both ended up taking our entrees home and had for a whole other meal later. I went with the Crab cake and Eggs (scrambled) with homefries and wheat toast while my boyfriend got the Meat Skillet. Jair like last time, everything was well seasoned, served hot and tasted fresh.

My only complaint is the fresh squeeze lemonade is not really fresh squeezed. It taste like country time lemonade( power mix) there was no pulp or anything in the freshly squeeze lemonade, but it was plenty sweet. I can tell you that. Unfortunately this reason, I'll rate the urban kitchen at 2 1/2 stars.
