    Fried lobster tail
    Sherry J.

I don't know how we have not been here before. RJ bought grouper from the fish market 10 years ago, but we have never been to the restaurant. Huge mistake! Matt E was our server and he was friendly and efficient. We ordered the Poinsettia drink which was prosecco and cranberry, and vodka sprite. Matt brought fresh baked bread which was crunchy and warm. We started with the fried lobster tail, and we fought over every bite. It was large and juicy with a light, delicious coating. I ordered blackened grouper with lump crab, and he wanted chilean sea bass but they were out, so he went with the orange roughy. His was good, but my grouper was outstanding. The blackened seasoning had a kick, and the grouper was thick, flaky, and sweet with a hint of all the shellfish it ate before I ate it. We finished with a fantastic chocolate raspberry layer cake which was very fudgy and paired well with the raspberry. There is a nice bar on the way out. We asked if they had brunch but they do not. We wish they did as we are always looking for good brunch locations, but we will still be adding this to our list of favorites.

    Blackened Rockfish. Old Bay fries.

Came here tonight with visiting family. Lots of casual dining upstairs and downstairs. They weren't busy enough to open the upstairs. Lots of fresh fish options and you can have them fix it in a number of ways. Tonight I chose the blackened rockfish and lobster bisque to start. The bisque was puréed so fine that you couldn't detect any lobster chunks. It sounds weird, but the lobster bisque at Zoup is my gold standard. My guest had a delicious salad. When the main courses came, everything was great except the sweet potato waffle fries were not cooked well enough. They also put brown sugar on the sweet potato fries. It was overwhelming after a few of them. The waitress said next time to ask for them without brown sugar. The rockfish was flaky and flavorful and the fries with old bay were perfect. No room for desert.

We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I reminds of one's of the old seafood restaurants in Baltimore. The wife started with Maryland Crab Soup (We're from Maryland so we know good seafood), she loved it, but I thought it was bland. We ordered the Mixed Appetizers (2 of each, Shrimp le jon, Oysters Rockefeller, Clam Casinos and Stuffed Mushrooms), I loved everything, but the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms could have been cooked a little more. It was too soft for me. On to the stars of the night, other than my beautiful wife. The wife ordered the Crab Ravioli was outstanding. The quality, the taste and the presentation was excellent (Check out the pictures). I ordered the Mixed Appetizers (2 of each, Shrimp le jon, Oysters Rockefeller, Clam Casinos and Stuffed Mushrooms) with coleslaw, mixed vegetables and we travel a lot and it's always hard to find a great Broiled Seafood Platter. We found one tonight this restaurant needs to in Maryland next to the water (Great Compliment). Onto the star of the night, it was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and the fish was Salmon. Most platter would have a secondary fish choice. To recap the night we found an outstanding Seafood spot in Delaware.

I have been dying to eat some seafood and there aren't many places in the area. This place has a market & Resturant! The staff is great! Very friendly, helpful and very attentive! This place is pricey in some ways but you have to pay for good seafood I guess. The soups were a pretty small portion for $9 but very flavorful. The house roll was seriously what I would come back for. Toasted perfectly with rosemary. The shrimp was good but pretty small. The cocktail sauce tasted a bit like BBQ which was weird but not horrible. The crab clusters were good but one was over cooked which was a bummer considering the cost. The sides were great but small. Overall I wouldn't go running back but it was a good meal!

Haven't been here in a long time. It was busy for a Wednesday. I got the fried oysters with sweet potato fries and veggies of the day. Oysters delicious and a good size portion. Cinnamon on the fries not my favorite but it's a matter of taste. The veggies were tasteless. The prices are very good for lunch with good size portions. Asked for salad in place of the sides but NO. Surprised but the server seemed surprised also. Silly rule. Charge a bit more!

When they have fried lobster tails, go! So good. Service is always friendly. Getting seafood from their side store is wonderful as well.

We have been to it plenty of times in our over 30 years of visiting AC and we have never been disappointed. The ambiance is cosy with nautical themed items decorating the walls. They have limited seating in the small establishment, with the best option being sitting at the counter at the window to people watch while enjoying your seafood items. We are always greeted by pleasant staff. They have daily specials and feature a seafood case filled with a variety of fresh seafood items that you can literally pick and they will prepare in store or you can choose to purchase to go. Our go to is the flounder and fish platter, which comes with house made slaw and fries, and either a side of fried clams or oysters. The platter also comes with a canned soda, which you get to pick the flavor choice from the beverage case. We always enjoy our food in store and are always luck enough to grab a few seats. The flounder and shrimp platter was fresh and crispy, with a light coating that did not take away from the delicate taste of the fish and shrimp. The slaw was fresh and an ok side. The fries were crispy and nothing was greasy. The oysters were fried well and when bitten, popped with a nice, fresh taste. And don't worry my MD folks, they have Old Bay to dust your food (which I really appreciate!). We suggest coming as soon as they open or call your order in ahead of time to avoid the long line that forms. All in all, our go to seafood spot when visiting AC.

Really cute place but left very conflicted in terms of reviews…read more Made reservations because it was Wilmington restaurant week but we were the only people in there for a while. Started at a table and then learned there were happy hour specials only at the bar. They refused to give us HH pricing at our table even though we were the only people in there so we relocated to the bar. The bartender seemed skilled and looked like he was making an incredible cocktail. Both cocktails were absolutely terrible and tasted like perfume. Extreme let down. The meal had highlights like the shrimp and grits and steak, everything else was flavorless and not worth the money. It's a beautiful place and had live music but I don't think there's anything that would make me come back.

The seats are comfy, with backs, and there's a place to rest your feet. They have a few TVs, so you can watch sports too. The friendly bartender greeted us with menus and asked if we needed a minute before ordering drinks, and we did, because they have a nice, interesting, creative cocktail list. I had the Grill Your Fruit Honey, a whiskey drink, and it was delectable, but I was very tempted by the Does a Pear Spritz in the Woods? It was Saturday brunch time, so we got one item from their Brunchy menu and one from their main menu. We picked the Famous Post Breakfast Sandwhich with smoked chicken. The server recommended a runny egg, and it was perfect. I had my eye on the BLT, so we went with it. It was so good!! The bacon was thick, crispy, and so flavorful. The bread was perfectly toasted. We had a hard time picking a fav sandwhich, but I think the BLT won. We ordered a side of their cheesy grits, and they were award-winning, and I'm from the south, so I know grits.
