The food here is TO DIE FOR. We were between here and another place and I'm so glad we picked this spot. First off, excellent service. Our server, Krista, was so sweet and friendly and wow did the food come out fast. Secondly, everything was TERRIFIC. We started with the crab bisque and it was so tasty and well made. Everything was good but it was maaaaybe my favorite? Idk. Then, we had the crab cakes entree. Holy wow those crab cakes are perfect. They have some spices in them and just a wonderful, delectable flavor. As a side, we got the veggies and the corn on the cob, which made me super happy. They also offer drink flights - cocktail flights, beer flights, etc. I got the cocktail flight and it was fun to try the different kinds. Excellent spot - add it to your list.

We chose to celebrate our soul sister's birthday here and we could not have chosen a better place for a crab lover!! First and foremost...Krista was amazing with food & drink suggestions and great customer service. Definitely cannot forget the boomerang lessons We tried the fried shrimp, wings, fries and the crab bisque all were very good. We also ordered the colossal and jumbo blue crabs and they did not disappoint!! All were nicely seasoned full of delicious sweet crab meat. Definitely returning and spreading the word!!

And here with a party of 8. Was told they only accept reservations for parties of 10 or more. We were immediately greeted and offered beverages. They have a full bar and the drinks were nice and strong. The service was good, with our server frequently checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. Well someone in our party ordered the medium blue crabs which were tasty and a decent size. They dump them in front of you, put a trash can next to you, and let you go to town. The rest of us ordered the land and sea, The 2 Special (double snow crab legs), garlic snow crab legs, crab cake and the pretzel with crabmeat on it. Everything was tasty and had flavor to it. Everyone complimented there meals although a bit apprehensive when they 1st walked in because it's a hole in the wall and we can off of yelp reviews. Our guest who ordered the blue crabs said they were very good and was happy about the size of the medium ones.

I love it here! Of course it's a old crab house but don't be discouraged by that the crabs are good! I love the garlic crabs I get them at least 1 a week! The owner is the bomb!!! Always coming around to check on you and if you have any problems she gets it handled!!

I came here to order some crabs to go based on co workers recommendations. I had heard of Lestardos before but this was my first time here. The signs in the vestibule direct you which way to go if you're eating in or taking out. I wound up in the bar area which was small, narrow and completely full It was to be expected because it was about ten minutes til kick off for the Eagles v Bears wildcard game. I made my way down to the end of the bar and I don't know if it was the fact that I was wearing a blue fur coat and not an Eagles jersey but everyone stared at me as I walked through. I found myself at an empty bar stool but could not sit there because it was "reserved" for one of the employees. That was a first for me. My order was quickly taken and paid for but after that I waited in the cramped space for half an hour. I was even scolded at one point by another employee for being in the way. Judging from the yelling and comraderie of the people there, they seem to be a tight knit crew of regulars. Rarely do I feel out of place but here I felt very much so. I texted my co workers during my wait and was told it was a different experience dining in. The dining room is separated from the bar by a large partition but I could see through it and it was filled with people who looked happy. I also saw large platters of shrimp go by that looked fantastic. I would have added that to my order but at that point I couldn't wait to just leave. I had ordered a half dozen number ones in garlic butter. I was surprised to see when I got home way more than that in my container. They were cleaned and split completely in half and tasty. I haven't had garlic crabs like that since Hard Rock Cafe's heyday in downtown Philly in the 90's. I plan to come back with friends and dine in, appropriately dressed of course ( no crab cracking in my blue fur lol ) hopefully I will feel more at home.

Crab legs dry and Mussels super dry.

Overall service was excellent. The food was subpar at best. Everything was so dry and salty. The service was great the food not so great.

Super impressed!! Had colossal crabs which were amazing & super sweet!!! Best crabs I've had all year. Our waitress, Teresa, was sooo nice and helpful. Best customer service we've received in a long time. Plan on telling our friends & coming back with a group of people.!! The bartender was awesome as well. Great staff!!

Service was excellent! I'd give 5 stars for friendliness and attentive wait staff. We had the mixed medium and large crabs in garlic sauce and the king crab legs in cajun garlic. They are good. But I feel they need to serve the crab with bread so we can dip in the crab juice. Overall it's okay.

This is an average crab house compared to the one we went in Maryland. However they make a great Cajun style flounder! I loved my flounder and I ate it all! They seasoned this good! But I thought the one that Hubby ordered for himself was mediocre, the fried oyster sandwich. I wouldn't recommend this but my flounder is highly recommended! We also ordered the salad as appetizer. The salad had a lot of grated cheese. Hubby liked it but I didn't. Also, I tried the crab soup and that was the best for Hubby! We had a good service and dinner.

Happy hour means $6 well drinks, so my standard is rum and diet Coke. Good drink, single pour of Cruzan. I chose to dine at the bar because the weather was a little steamy out. But I later took my second drink out onto their riverfront patio, and sat awhile in the shade of the building. It was lovely. For snacks, I ordered the blackened filet medallions and the garlic mussels. On a skewer, four hefty pieces of excellent beef were joined with a nifty horseradish dip. I did cut the steak into several bites per piece, so it was a good sized portion. My only preference would have been some garnish (greens maybe?). The mussels normally come with bread, but I let them keep it in the kitchen to sub my own GF bread from home. The broth was thin and lightly flavored, which I enjoyed almost like a soup (but was too embarrassed to tip the bowl). The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. I could be a regular here, and look forward to another visit to Wilmington next time we are in Philly.

My wife and I ordered simple salads--nothing complicated--and it still took about an hour for the food to arrive. I even had to ask a busser to find our waitress. She apologized and mentioned she had a big party, but the issue wasn't just the check--it was the entire length and pace of the experience. The staff seemed nice, but the operation felt very disorganized, and the food itself wasn't particularly memorable. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back

I heard of this place before but hadn't been and luckily they were still open that late so we headed over there. It was a Friday night, so the place was pretty full, with music playing throughout with some people our aged mixed on the college students there. We lucked out with two seats at the bar. For drinks, I initially ordered the Blue Rock Lemonade - in my mind I thought it would taste or be similar to lemonade cocktail drink I've had before... It was not that lol. Though I normally do like drinks on the sweeter side, this one was too much for me. But it may appeal to others taste. I ended up just asking for the same thing my boyfriend got which was a Margarita (I think pineapple flavor) which was much more satisfying. Again, we both were hungry and didn't feel like sharing apps or being there too late since we had to get up early. The Seafood Linguine caught my eye, so I ordered that while he got the Fish 'N Chips. There's was different in that they used catfish - we are used to seeing cod or haddock - but it came out pretty good. My dish was also pretty good, with a good mixture of seafood (shrimp, crab meat, mussels, clams) in it. We would come here again - earlier time though - to check out other items on the menu.

First Visit to Taste & Sea's High Tea - A Hidden Gem!…read more I recently visited Taste & Sea in Glen Mills for their High Tea experience, and it was absolutely delightful. They have been offering High Tea since January 2026 and currently serve it on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I chose the Royal Tea package, which includes a scone, your choice of quiche or soup, four assorted tea sandwiches, assorted petit desserts, and a pot of tea. Since I couldn't decide, I added both the quiche and soup for an additional $5, bringing my total to just $40. The soup and quiche were both delicious, although they were more of an oversized amuse-bouche portion than a full serving. The flavors, however, were outstanding. The tea sandwiches were equally enjoyable. While all four varieties were tasty, my favorites were the cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches. The highlight of the meal was the scone served with crème fraîche and raspberry honey jam. It was absolutely mouthwatering and truly elevated the entire tea experience. The assortment of petit desserts was also wonderful, especially the creamy cheesecake, which was my personal favorite. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. Lilly and Chrissy did a wonderful job throughout our visit. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Their hospitality really enhanced the afternoon. I also appreciated that the venue is wheelchair and mobility-friendly, making it accessible and comfortable for guests with mobility concerns. It would be a wonderful venue for birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, ladies' gatherings, or any special occasion that calls for a memorable afternoon tea experience. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. The quality, presentation, service, atmosphere, and value were exceptional. As Taste & Sea continues to grow and develop its High Tea service, I'm excited to see what enhancements they introduce in the future. My only concern? Once more people discover this experience, there may be a waiting list! If you're considering trying it, I highly recommend making a reservation. It is a tremendous value and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. P.S. Before leaving, I took a look at the dinner menu, and several items caught my eye--especially the Toasted Brie and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Based on my High Tea experience, I'll definitely be returning to give dinner a try.

I've been to other places and loved them but this was a first time here. We parked and all you can smell is seafood and fish. Parking was decently easy. We walked in and asked to sit outside and was sent upstairs. Thought it a bit weird, but it was all good. We had nothing else going on on a Monday, and just wanted crabs. So we made our way upstairs and had to walk around a few corners to get to the bar before we self seated and found a table under these stairs. But the view! It was pretty, with the small lake or pond we were staring into. The whimsy breeze felt great against my skin and thankful there was an umbrella which shielded us from the hot sun. The tables were covered with craft paper. There were one server working the section. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Paloma - who doesn't love a good cocktail on a hot day outside next to water? The menu is a decent size. We wanted the extra large crabs but they only had six left so we did half extra large and half large. We also ordered Mac and Cheese which turned out to be Kraft Mac and Cheese, Hush Puppies and also an order of Cole slaw. I was tired after trying to crack three crabs, but the flavors were great. I wish it had more of the orange eggs stuff but I guess we couldn't choose which type of crab they were and I had no orange eggs in the crab. But the flavors were good. I enjoyed the experience. It was pretty chill and just nice to be outside cracking teeth and sipping drinks.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!
