Small pub qith great seafood. We enjoyed a basket of huge large shrimp (market price). Two bowls (although small) of soup: Sausage and clams, and cream of lobster. Total spent $61.98 (before tip). A bit pricey for location. A one time visit is enough but enjoyed first visit. Seevice was pleasant and friendly.

"It's a very...local place. Old school, no frills. You guys sure you're okay with that?" "I'm from the south, of course I'm okay with that. The best food generally comes from those type of dives, duh!" This was the conversation that elapsed between myself and my Aunt Cindy a few days ago. My husband and I were visiting his family up north (we're Tennesseans, they're from New York and Delaware), and we wanted to try some crab. She suggested Kelly's, then explained all about what a "waterman" is in local Delaware/Maryland fashion as we drove. Inside, the restaurant is all wood paneling on the walls, old linoleum floors, mismatched tables and chairs, and super friendly people - our waitress was so nice, and they all knew my aunt as a "regular." I love those kind of places - where everybody knows your naaaaaame. They put brown butcher paper down on the tables, you tell them how many crabs you want, and they get to cookin'. They also have a menu of fried crab cakes (amazing), flounder, oysters, clams, etc. and frosty cold mugs for the Yuengling on tap. The food was outstanding. I learned the proper way to dissect and consume a crab, which was a very englightening experience. Meat so sweet you didn't even need butter, y'all. The crab cake was also PACKED full of meat and very little filler, which is what you want! This place is super quaint and charming, and I can definitely see why the locals make this their "place." I'd come back in a heartbeat, next time we're in the area!

Quility food and great beer. The vibe in this place is perfect. If you looking for a cold beer and solid frozen deep fried wings? Found right here in Port Penn! Seriously they great crabs, great crab cakes, French fries, wings, burgers, fries and anything else you can fry.... simple and friendly! They have a few types of soups available, I have never had a bad one. I think Kelley's is considered a Tavern?, must be 21 to enter.... if your in the area and not looking for roasted brussel sprouts and hummus, then get in here!

Like the local feeling, and the crab cakes always rock. It's a nice ride for lunch. We'll be back again.

The lady that cooks the food is extremely helpful and excellent as well. The chicken wings that we ordered were seasoned and cooked to perfection!!!!! The Bad: While the food is good, ordering is quite a challenge. This was our first time eating at this establishment as we were told how good the food really was. And it was excellent!!! However, when you ask an employee if there is a menu, they say, it's on the door. You look at the door and there is no menu. I the. Asked another person hat looked like she was the cook. This was great as she said the menu is actually on a piece of paper on the wall. Note: I still never found this menu. However, she (the cook) was very, very friendly and told me what she had ready to cook. We ordered Fried Chicken Wings and a side of French Fries for the two of us to share. The food was excellent!! )so this is not bad. The Ugly: The bartender either needs assistance in serving the customers in a timely manner or she can improve her speed and service. When we first sat down, we waited over 10 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. Not to serve....just acknowledge. Will we return? Absolutely!!!!! The Bad and the Ugly did not outweigh the the good. We had a feast time watching Karaoke, eating Fried Chicken & enjoying good drinks. This is a place that you do not need to get dressed nice to hang out, and there are often times that I just want to have on jeans and tee shirt to go out and just have a drink and have laughs with friends or with Hubby. This was the case in our recent visit and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We will certainly return and hope you visit this great establishment. Bon Appetit and Have Fun!!!!!

Two glasses of Cutty Sark for $7. I was retelling a story that involved profanity and the proprietor came over and reprimanded me earnestly. "If you come in my place, you got to find a bigger vocabulary." Everyone was busy setting up for a farewell party for a local DJ. The good smell of dirty rice and greens cooking in the back almost tempted us to stay. But six hours is a long time to kill, even with Cutty Sark and NCAA football on CBS.
