My husband has been ordering takeout from here every 2-3 weeks since we moved to Wilmington in 2018 from out of state and it is always on point. Everything on the menu isn't always available and the closer it gets to closing, the more they'll be out of. However, I find that to be the case with any Jamaican restaurant I ever order from - so I expect it. Everyone that helps me is always kind. And the food always on point. I have to say I am not a jerk chicken fan but they were out of oxtail. It was so good! Tender and spicy! The plantains were ripe and fried just right. The carrot cake was delicious. This used to be a good restaurant that an older lady ran. She was kind and made great food. Since it changed hands, maybe 3 years now, it has been vastly upgraded. For instance, I now want to sit down and eat with my family. The owners have changed the decor to make it more contemporary and inviting. Other good changes include steadier hours and quicker service. I might have to visit this place more often to try out more of the menu. Speaking in the menu, my entree selection was good. It makes me want to come back by the hot temperature and delicious taste. I had the Oxtails and they were pretty expensive but worth it. The small meal is really enough for two.
