Total dump. Smells like someone was smokin' in the boys room. The bathroom light switch is falling off the wall. The cashier is wearing headphones and on their phone. Really high prices that surprised me. Especially given that it's a total dump on the inside. My friend said it wasn't that bad. I paid $18 for a large thing of salmon fried rice and $7 for a "large" thing of broccoli. Containers like that in philly of like pork fried rice would be $10 max. I checked out Tasties because I had a craving for Alfredo pasta. Tasties had several different options. I went with the shrimp Alfredo. The Alfredo was good. The serving size was enough for two. I also ordered the lemon pepper wing meal that with two sides. The wings were cooked just right. The lemon pepper seasoning was a tad bit salty, but I rather they be over seasoned. I got potato salad and Mac and cheese as my sides. The potato salad tasted like it was past its shelf life. I took one bite and was not able to eat the rest. The mac and cheese was just okay. I am very disappointed how this restaurant would act with my wife. A gentleman that was homeless came up to her and ask if she could buy him something to eat. As we were raised, we never denied food to anyone. My wife with a big heart told the gentleman that she would . As she walk into this restaurant they said that they don't serve the homeless and that's their policy. First off my wife is not homeless and she was helping someone in need. How do you deny a paying customer whether she is with someone that look homeless or not. Does this mean if I bring my 10 employees to eat there we would be denied? Cause we would look homeless just because of our work gear. It seems at this restaurant they judges a book by its cover. I have a business and we would do everything in our power to help others. I'm just going to say that if this was the only business on the block I wouldn't spend my money in there. Tonight on my way to a work event, I was approached by a gentleman that asked if I could buy him a meal, because of how I was raised and very well blessed I am, I said sure. I told him, go in and order what you want and I'll pay, he was told by the nasty lady behind the counter that she couldn't serve him because of their policy of not being able to serve the homeless. I said you kidding right, I'm paying, he's not asking for a free meal, she proceeded with saying that he often does that and again I told her but his meal is paid for. Best fried chicken wings I've had in Delaware. Oil tastes fresh breading lite fried perfectly. French fries need a lot work. You lady who took my order was nice and patient. She should be recognized and given a raise. Shes dealing with some hard to deal with customers. The wait was ok as long as the food was fresh. Price not bad at all. This restaurant is disgusting filthy in despair. Order door dash if you go in you will change your mind. If the kitchen look like the rest of the place food should not be served there. Good spot for take out... Came here at the recommendation of the hotel I was staying in. Finally made it. It's a takeout spot with a decent ambiance. Not for sitting down and eating. Let me start off with the good. Everything is seasoned well and nice and hot. I like that food is cooked to order so it's fresh. The wait is never too long when you go into the store. So because of that I continue to eat there. Yup I have time today lol..... The slight problem that I do have is the customer service. On numerous occasions that I've been there the workers all seem to have attitudes. I think everyone gets frustrated at work but to be the representation of the owner you have to at least be a little friendly. Today the girl at the counter kept having me repeat my order (which was just sides) saying she was tired. Then the customer after me also was met with attitude because he was picking up an order and asked if they came with drinks. We usually buy macaroni and cheese, cabbage, fish, fried chicken wings and those Thai wings I got last time was really good. I got 6 and should have gotten 12. The service was great, they took the proper precautions during the pandemic, food was done in a reasonable amount of time and nothing was missing from my order. We ordered the fried chicken platter which included macaroni and cheese, green beans and a garlic roll for about 15 bucks. The green beans were just that, nothing special and unfortunately the best thing about the platter. The Mac and cheese was so salty it was inedible. I'm very disappointed with this restaurant. In this day and age, I try my hardest to support black businesses and I am very dissatisfied with the lack of service. I needed catering for an event and I followed all the protocols they had me do upon calling and after multiple attempts to obtain pricing, they did not call me back until the day before I needed the service. Luckily I was able to have my food catered by MsMeeksea2Soul, in Philadelphia, but ultimately I will not seek catering from this business again. While the food is good, the overall customer service has a lot to be desired. read more
