I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

We also ordered a Czech Pinot. Quite tasty. We split a dessert some ice cream and fancy flavors. Service was excellent. Ambiance is high endy-trendy with a lot of black and silver. This is a great place with fabulous food and a perfect location. We always thought that service was included in most euro restaurants but we have found on this trip that is not the case. The ambience in there was pretty modern so it felt a little out of place in a very old, wooden beam structure and next to the castle/surrounding buildings. The music that was playing was also very 'clubby/hotel lobby-like'. The rest of the menu was actually quite expensive compared to the lunch special so we didn't prefer outside of that. Our food came out relatively quickly and was fine, but nothing that I would crave after leaving Prague. The dessert was a small piece of apple strudel which was also good but pretty standard. We visited Prague during the Christmas market season so the restaurant was glowing with holiday spirit. The staff was amazing and the food impeccable. I am still dreaming about this meal. The menu changes frequently but on this cold winter evening, we enjoyed the warm mushroom bisque, a grilled seafood dish with pasta, and the duck breast with gratin potatoes. I have never ordered duck before (other than confit on a salad) and this was "off the charts" delicious! Such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them if you ever make it to this beautiful city!
