The shrimps were lovely but the yellow fin tuna got lost in the mix. Maybe picking a different kind of fish?

Looking for tasting menu for my first dinner in Prague. Tried to secure a table at a Czech restaurant but would have to wait for tomorrow night. Concierge subsequently recommended Portfolio, nearby. Ingredients, plating and wine pairing were all excellent. Subtracted one star because I didn't get how the pieces fit together for a couple of dishes. A solid choice for special events and business dinner. The noise level of the restaurant is low, good for carry on conversations. Decoration simple but elegant.

So glad this was near our hotel & had such great reviews on trip advisor so that I tried it. We decided on the tasting menu & I had mine with the wine pairing so that my husband and I could both try the sommelier recommendations along with the chefs. Amuse bouche & first course were very good but from there on it just got progressively more amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection with a playful & artistic presentation. Our server was outstanding and very considerate. His recommendations for my husband's drinks were fantastic and the sloe gin cocktail he prepared with apple slices he had dried himself was delicious. Expensive but I can see why the chef and his team are on Michelin's radar. Highly recommended

Upscale vibe, modern European food. The restaurant had minimal decor and a sophisticated feel. It was my first night in Prague and I wanted to experience traditional Czech food. Came here on recommendation of my hotel concierge. While the food is not traditional in the sense of goulash, schnitzel and dumplings, the ingredients are unique to the area and of top quality. The food was excellently prepared and artfully presented. Our server was pleasant, cordial and efficient. Although one may think the prices at this restaurant are high, believe me, I'm from a state that is ranked highest with the worse economy and I found these prices ridiculously low for what I received. $4 USD for a glass of Hendricks?! Unbelievable, so I just had to have two! My meal came out to $88 USD for three drinks, a starter and two mains. In addition, we were given bread and an amuse bouche prior to the meal. I highly recommend the sautéed shrimp vichyssoise, lamb, and veal. Check out my pics to see how pretty the food was plated. This restaurant offers gluten free and vegan options. P.s. The standard tip in Prague is 10%.

I write this review a few days after our meal but every bit as impressed as I was the night we ate at Portfolio. From the moment we arrived I was impressed, from the decor to our first drink, greatness exuded. Our server Martin was absolutely AWESOME! He not only made our cocktails at a higher level of deliciousness, but his service, demeanor and persona was world class. I have eaten at many world class eateries, but only have had a server with his abilities maybe once before, he made our meal and experience better. The food was every bit as impressive as our bad ass server! We had a duck and a tuna appetizers. My first real experience with duck that I can recall. It was amazing, rich in texture and flavor. The tuna was served with an (quail?) egg and caviar, and honestly I wasn't sure what to expect. But like our experience to that point, it was amazing! My babe ordered the quail I got the suckling pig. Both of us were making "yummy noises" and saying "OMG" after every bite. It was so delicious, it was perfection on a plate. Every bite was better than the last. We skipped desert as we were full from copious amounts of gin and rich delicious dinner. If you are in the amazingly beautiful city of Prague, don't miss out Portfolio. You will regret it!!! In fact I am changing my review to Six Stars!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Prague. My sister suggested it and I fell in love. We with my friend and we did the 5-6 course tasting menu. I did option B with the more aged wines. Heavy pours and was full for hours after. Definitely worth and would go back again. Would recommended for groups, romantic dates or work meetings.

Amazing experience and restaurant! Super accommodating to all of our dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian) and created an unforgettable experience for us!! Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing restaurant! Recently it has become one of my most favorite places in Prague. Love the modern, spacious yet cost design, interesting meals and very friendly personnel. Even though it is located on the corner of streets that are rather grey and close to the train station, when you sit next to the window you don't feel bothered by the hassle outside. The atmosphere in the cellar is amazing as well. If you want to grab a great business lunch, come for a romantic dinner or just have a great time with friends, this place will definitely not let you down!

After eating and boozing around Prague for a few days - my boyfriend and I were overdosing on goulash and dumplings (aka bread slices) and needed a change. A quick Yelp search for fine dining in the city brought up Portfolio. The tasting menu looked great, there was at least one scallop dish (prerequisite!) and it was in the posher part of town with the high end name brand hotels. We called and they were able to seat us right away. Portfolio is a chic eclectic Euro fusion restaurant - very modern design inside! Looked great and just what we were looking for. We went with the chef's Degustation menu (5 courses, plus amuse bouche and palate cleansers in between) with wine pairings. Very reasonably priced for this level of food and wine - turned out at just a little over $200 USD including service. NICE! - Pre-dinner cocktails. Stick only with classics - anything more complicated is outside their wheelhouse. We found out the hard way. Go with a Martini. - Veal Tartar with quail egg - PERFECT! Great cuts of meat and flavor with the rich egg. - Sea scallops and butternut squash. Nice scallop - would have loved another (or 2!). Excellent presentation - looked like a raked Japanese sand garden! - Venison fillet. Mine was a little rawer - my boyfriends perfectly cooked. Sadly this had some sauce poured all over it, that it didn't need. Poor a little on the side of the plate or not at all. - Desserr - Not that memorable. Fruity sorbet/ice cream with some form of cake. Would have preferred something creamier or with a little chocolate, but that's just personal preference. - Wine pairings. All very good and nicely matched - nothing crazily special, but very well matched. No complaints! I learned quite a bit about Rieslings and the dryness/sweetness and harvest time. Overall very good! The only complaint really was too much saucing on the dishes - let the meat taste like meat! It was amazing cuts and perfectly cooked. Fine dining at a great price!! Go visit if in Prague.

I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

It was my second visit to Prague so I was taking my time to see more than the "must see things." As I said, I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was taking in the park where artists were painting, people were reading and I pulled out my phone to use the Merlin app to identify birds that were singing. It was totally picturesque. But I wasn't hungry. So I regretfully moved on without eating there. Imagine the elation a few days later when someone in our group booked a dinner reservation for us at the same place I was regretting having missed! With a group of a dozen of us, I think someone ordered everything on the menu. We were all thrilled. We had appetizers , cocktails and entrees -- everything we had was great! The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!

Be aware that this is a Michelin star restaurant and it's fine dining, so reservations are a must. Don't expect to just walk in. And to experience the food, I always order the full tasting menu. Any shortened version is just not enough, in my opinion. In addition to the full degustation menu, we also ordered a full non-alcoholic pairing. Every dish was like a work of art. It's hard to pick just one dish. However, the best was probably the deer. One of the chefs even prepares it in front of you.

I truly could live happily on toast, boiled potatoes, fruit, and Diet Coke. I'm also both a vegetarian and someone with a fairly limited palate, so I didn't think Field would be a hit for me. WOW was this an amazing experience! First: gorgeous space. Comfy tables, set far enough apart so we didn't feel crowded, and it didn't get loud. Beautiful artwork on the ceiling. Bright. Cheery. We loved it. We are visiting our son who lives a few hours south of Prague. My husband and son are fabulously adventurous eaters and they gifted me with this outing to Field, a Friday lunch reservation at 1:30 pm. Lunch seems the perfect time to come as the restaurant was not totally booked and we had so much attention from staff, including the front desk, wait staff, sommelier, and bartender. But I'm guessing dinner would be a blast, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Our lead waitress was Michaela, and she was the most polished and professional server I've ever met!! We felt so well cared for. In our 3 person party we had me: a vegetarian, and our son who has severe food allergies, to peanuts, pine nuts, and most nuts. 2 of the 3 don't drink any alcohol. Amazingly, it was not a problem at all. In fact, they were prepared!! There was a vegetarian prix fixe menu, with both a large and a smaller option, plus we could order the 'non-alcoholic' version of the wine pairings. So we did. My son had phoned ahead to inform them about his food allergies, and Michaela and the bartender confirmed them when we were seated. The staff was so welcoming and completely knowledgeable about ingredients. They did a fantastic job keeping my son safe, like bringing out his dessert first so it would come close to the 5 other pastries that included nuts. The bartender made him a special cocktail that was hazelnut-free. The 'pesto' was made with pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. The staff told us the ingredients of every single dish and cocktail!! And literally showed us! Our waitress brought over a tray that included things like snails, crawfish, and artichokes, and then she told us where they'd sourced them in Czechia! Except the crawfish, as we learned they are a protected animal in Czechia, so they are brought in from Germany. We loved that part, hearing where all of these beautiful ingredients came from. I'll include a few photos from both my vegetarian and their regular prix fixe adventures. The pea soup was my favorite! My son said the deer main dish was the 'best thing I've ever eaten, in my entire life'. I didn't take photos of the non-alcoholic cocktails, but those were lovely. Especially a super fun foamy pomegranate one!
