Terrific food, good service and amazing ambiance! I want to know what goes on inside the mind of the interior designer of Mlýnec. The bathroom had grass and vines covering the ceiling!

I came here multiple times during my travels, both for lunch and dinner. It was fantastic, I loved every dish- every amuse buche, even the bread and butter. Everything was spectacular, 5 stars all around. At lunch I had a three course meal (30Eur amazing value) of salmon ceviche, tenderloin steak that was perfectly cooked, and coconut ice cream dessert. I also tried smoked veal tartare (best tartare I've ever had), the fois gras (also best I've had with pistachio and an apricot cream). Highly recommend and I would definitely come here again. Beef cheek ravioli was also great. Service was perfect, and so was ambiance. Ask for a table outside on a nice day

FINE DINING and soooo fun!!!! A wonderful experience with scented towels to wipe your hands to start, palette cleansers in between courses, and wonderful service. The meat was tender and flavorful. The dessert was a delight and a gorgeous presentation! Would absolutely go again and highly recommend.

Great food. Its definitely on the higher end and one where the chef is always willing to try something new. If you're not a very adventurous eater, then I would not recommend that you eat here. It's on the pricier end for Prague prices, but still more affordable than the US if you want a fancy upscale dinner. I ate here for a work gathering and was pleased to see how serious they took my slight dairy allergy. They asked in advance and then as our family style shareable meals were being brought out, they gave me an alternative for each course if it contained dairy. I've never had any restaurant take care of me like that before! I thought this place was so good that I needed to take my BF there when he arrived to Prague. Something I learned though is that their menu rotates. The meal we ordered and what's shown in the photos were a part of their weekly lunch special during the week of 6/28/2024. I'm not sure if they'll serve it again! However, if they don't, I will say the lunch special pricing was awesome! There was the option for a 2 course or 3 course meal given the 3 listed items. You were allowed to mix and match for the 2 course which is what we did. I ordered the starter and the entree, and my BF ordered the entree and the dessert so we could try everything. The meal was something different than we would have usually ordered, but were pleasantly satisfied at the end. We dont usually eat fancy foods, so this was out of our element! We knew it was fancy when we saw how they plated our food. They also gave us palette cleansers in between our dishes (a shot of some type of green juice!). Also, our dessert was sitting on a plate that they poured water into to make the dry ice smokey! How cool. Overall, very attentive staff that pays close attention to patrons and their allergies. The ambiance/decor was stunning on the inside, and the food was high quality. I only rated it a 4 because I didn't appreciate the creativity of the food given my limited palette!

We had a very poor experience at this place. Biggest problem was the service, but we also did not enjoy the drinks or most of the food. Service was extremely slow, both when we were seated (and not acknowledged for quite a while) and the 15 minutes after our drink order was taken and nothing was served. Other people eventually dropped off our drinks and food, but our waitress neglected to check on us after our drinks and food were served, and there were problems with both. Our pear martinis were glasses of apple juice. Our veal filets with the sauce just tasted very bitter. The only reason this is a 3 star and not a 2 star review is because the Foie Gras Terrine appetizer was really delicious. We just didn't have the patience to wait any longer on our waitress to bother having dessert or after dinner drinks. I recommend avoiding this place.

We arrived at the beautifully decorated restaurant to be given the disappointment of being penalized for being a group of 10 - paper tasting menu. The appetizers were great and very well presented but the mains lacked a pop and design. Why is it that a fine restraunt gets creative on their starters but weakly shows their skills in their 60 dollar entrees.

Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in Prague. Service was attentive and friendly though the pace of the dishes was too slow for my liking. We waited over fifteen meals in between some dishes. Got the 5 and 6 course tasting menus. My favorites were the foie gras, pike perch and the veal tartare. All three were executed perfectly. There was a lot of usage of purées and veggies which can be a bit overwhelming when you pair it with delicate flavors and the texture may be a bit too much of a contrast. Although they say their veal is one of the best I found it to be a bit underwhelming and nothing special. My piece in particular was overcooked. Although there are some pros and cons with my experience I think overall it is still a great place to try and the tasting menu really is a great value. Would recommend!

Super tasty food!! Expensive... but delicious worth it. The menu is small but everything on the menu is amazing. Service was great - every single person we encountered was more than generous and knowledgeable.

We came for brunch the day we were leaving Prague. We had reservations, and we were seated outside. The waiter came and explain it was a fixed menu with various courses. I asked him if I could have just the main course because it was too much food for me. He said it was was ok but then called his supervisor who explained me that he couldn't make the exception but promised me it was going to be ok. After, I glimpse at my emails and saw one email from Mlýnec apologizing that they couldn't book us for today because they were full. WHAT? I was there having my brunch and the place was quite empty. I was so pissed by now, but I confess I loose my temper easily. So, we decided to give it a try anyway. Having said all this, the food was amazing. The combination of flavors, the presentation of each course, the wine selection. So, so good! The price is pretty high but worth it.

Course 2 soft drink pairing - Apple, Rhubarb, Elderberry

We both really enjoyed our dinner here. We made reservations kind of late in the game, but they were able to get us a table for the night that we had originally requested. We showed up a bit early, and were asked to wait at the bar. We ordered a couple of drinks (martini for him, mojito for me) and waited a bit for our table to be ready. The hostess stopped by our bar table a few times to apologize for the delay, and to keep us appraised. I guess they were serving a party of 50 (!), so it was taking a bit longer for our table to be prepped than they had expected. Not that it mattered to us - we had nowhere else in the world to be. The hostess then came back to let us know that the table was ready, and showed us to a small table sandwiched in between two large parties. Not ideal, as it was very loud, but it was better than the first table we were offered. We had taken a look at their menu online the day before, and while I was excited about the food, the thing that appealed to me the most was the soft drink pairing that they offered with their "Most Popular" tasting menu. A soft drink pairing! Normally I'd go wine pairing, but I'd never seen anything like that before, and was intrigued enough to give it a try. Because, of course, we both decided to go with the "Most Popular" tasting menu (though, the hubs did go old school and pair his with wine.) The first thing brought out to us was an amuse bouche, which was a celery foam and bacon shot. It was interesting - a bit soupy, a bit celery-y, a bit bacon-y. I enjoyed it. Course 1 was the Smoked Veal Tartar, which was my favorite by far. It was smoky, with a fresh, clean flavor to the meat. The smoke didn't overpower the meat, and the truffle mayonnaise that was served with it really brought all the different flavors together. The soft drink pairing for course 1 was a beetroot, violet syrup and lemon concoction. I love me some beets, I do. But this was overpoweringly beet-y. The earthiness of the beets made it almost undrinkable. I did my level best, but it was difficult to finish. Certainly not my favorite. I can't imagine what people who hate beets would think of it. Course 2 was a Carpaccio of Scallops, served with apple, avocado puree and fennel. This was nice and refreshing - the scallops were sliced thin, and the apple added a tart bite to the dish that actually paired really well. The soft drink pairing for this course was an apple, rhubarb, elderberry drink, and it was much more palatable. Where the first drink was thick and strong, this drink was light and easy to drink. It did pair with the scallop dish rather well, too. Course 3 was my second favorite dish of the night - a seared sea bass served with a vanilla potato purée, capers, olives, and a baked lemon juice. It's hard for me to hate any fish dish, so it's not surprising that I enjoyed this. The fish was buttery and flaky, and the potatoes underneath added a nice bit of depth to the flakiness of the fish. The soft drink pairing was by far my favorite - made of jasmine, vanilla and lemon. This was also very light and easy to drink, and the vanilla in the drink brought out the vanilla in the potatoes. Course 4 was a filet mignon a la Schnitzel, which, while it was perfectly cooked, was a bit odd. I know this is one of their signature dishes, but it's just odd to bread and fry a beautiful piece of meat like that. Still, it was tasty, and it was served with a medley of vegetables. The drink with this dish was a carrot, raspberry and honey one. This was definitely savory, and had both of us in the mind of a tomato-based soup. It wasn't terrible, but it was a little much by that point. The 5th and final course was dessert - a chocolate lava cake with mint ice cream and mint crumble. This was served with a cherry, chocolate and orange drink, which I found discordant. The mint was delicious, but was overpowered by the cherry in the soft drink pairing. It's odd that that was their choice for this one. The cake itself was divine - all ooey and gooey and perfectly paired with the mint ice cream. Plus, they put a huge sparkler on my plate to celebrate our anniversary. PS - all the wines that they served my husband were local blends, and he loved them all. We enjoyed our evening immensely. Every person we came in contact with - from the hostess to the bartender to the team of waitstaff - was friendly and helpful and informative. And while I did enjoy the idea of the soft drink pairing, I wouldn't do it again. Not that I didn't enjoy the creations, but it's just SO MUCH liquid. The serving sizes are twice as big as a wine pour, and they just kept coming! Still, highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion - the food is delicious and the service is top notch. Plus, the views are brilliant - they're right on the river and have views of the Charles Bridge from the plate glass windows.

The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!
