Swordfish with citrus quinoa salad. Local Chardonnay.

Couldn't get into The Imperial so I went here instead and I was very pleased! Great food and service. I had their special swordfish with this amazing citrus quinoa salad. Service was very friendly, staff spoke great English (I am an American tourist passing through). The ambiance was very nice with beautiful paintings on the ceilings, classy.

    The halibut was outstanding

We had an amazing dinner before the concert. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The cocktails were very good as was the Cote Chalonnise for dinner. The dinner salads were good but the crawfish bisque was exceptional. The three of us who ordered halibut said it was very good. The rabbit and the veal were outstanding as were our desserts. A memorable last night in Prague!

    Spicy carrot salad with salmon

Charming restaurant and Delicious! Fair priced. We had a table of 6, we all got something different and each of us enjoyed or meal very much.

I visited many Michelin star restaurants all over the world, but this was an unexpectedly great experience. 10/10 ... everything! Food, place... and SERVICE. We were blessed to get Martina. She's an absolute professional. That smile, energy, and passion is everything. Congrats Zdenku! And thanks for this experience

Really nice restaurant in central Prague. Walked in without reservation and could get a table for 1 right away. Great service - tried the special of wild boar and waiter recommended to pair it with a local Cabernet, both excellent choices! Oh - a bonus, the food came out amazingly quickly. Probably less than 10 mins from order to eating. There were lots of other starters and main courses on the menu I would like to have tried, maybe next time! The desserts in the big display window in front of me also look amazing!

The best svíčková in Prague. The world?

I was expecting more given the rave reviews. It was fine but not amazing. chicken was good. Fish lacked flavor.

The sauce seemed to have been made from a can (1 star off) as the diced tomatoes tasted different than the whole tomatoes that were added to the dish later; the whole tomatoes tasted way better. My husband got the pinsa alla diavola, which was like a spicy pepperoni pizza. It was fine, but reminded me of a pizza at a kids' birthday party (1 star off), maybe only slightly better. I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

It was my second visit to Prague so I was taking my time to see more than the "must see things." As I said, I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was taking in the park where artists were painting, people were reading and I pulled out my phone to use the Merlin app to identify birds that were singing. It was totally picturesque. But I wasn't hungry. So I regretfully moved on without eating there. Imagine the elation a few days later when someone in our group booked a dinner reservation for us at the same place I was regretting having missed! With a group of a dozen of us, I think someone ordered everything on the menu. We were all thrilled. We had appetizers , cocktails and entrees -- everything we had was great! The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!

To start I had the marinated salmon which was one of the best starters I have had. Complex flavours and textures are complimented by an appropriate chilli hit which brings the whole dish together perfectly. The coconut crumb was a touch of genius. Hubby had the fried peppers, they were 3 stuffed and fried peppers that he loved, I found the habanero too spicy for me. For mains I had the lamb, one of the best lamb dishes I have had. Perfectly cooked lamb, both sou vide and grilled. Accompaniments were delicious and the chilli hit of the perfect sauce made the dish sing. Hubby had the black pearl, love the theatre of it all...you sign a waiver and they present you with a tray of tissues, milk and vodka to ease the burn. The dish was beautifully presented. I managed 3 little tastes and my tummy burned for a long time after. Surprising, the flavors were excellent. Hubby ate most of it but he did suffer through it....definitely not for the faint hearted. I would be back often if I lived here! After dining at some of the worlds top rated restaurants...I can say that this is a true gem thay clearly has some mad genius at the helm, a person who understands delicate flavors and chilli and plates like a God. More people should know about this place!

My husband cannot handle spicy so I tried the habanero. I could only handle 2 bites before my mouth was on fire. For our entrees, my husband ate the chili con carne dish. Under the mashed potatoes there was some chocolate - interesting mix of flavors. I had the roast beef salad with papaya and honey mustard type dressing. We ended the meal with a chocolate tart. They provided pate and some bread "on the house" to start. I do not like pate so I didn't touch mine. The service was great overall. Great place if you want to try something other than goulash and the other Czech fare offered around town. Pro tip: they charge you for the bread basket if you eat a slice. It was like 10 crowns.

Be aware that this is a Michelin star restaurant and it's fine dining, so reservations are a must. Don't expect to just walk in. And to experience the food, I always order the full tasting menu. Any shortened version is just not enough, in my opinion. In addition to the full degustation menu, we also ordered a full non-alcoholic pairing. Every dish was like a work of art. It's hard to pick just one dish. However, the best was probably the deer. One of the chefs even prepares it in front of you.

I truly could live happily on toast, boiled potatoes, fruit, and Diet Coke. I'm also both a vegetarian and someone with a fairly limited palate, so I didn't think Field would be a hit for me. WOW was this an amazing experience! First: gorgeous space. Comfy tables, set far enough apart so we didn't feel crowded, and it didn't get loud. Beautiful artwork on the ceiling. Bright. Cheery. We loved it. We are visiting our son who lives a few hours south of Prague. My husband and son are fabulously adventurous eaters and they gifted me with this outing to Field, a Friday lunch reservation at 1:30 pm. Lunch seems the perfect time to come as the restaurant was not totally booked and we had so much attention from staff, including the front desk, wait staff, sommelier, and bartender. But I'm guessing dinner would be a blast, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Our lead waitress was Michaela, and she was the most polished and professional server I've ever met!! We felt so well cared for. In our 3 person party we had me: a vegetarian, and our son who has severe food allergies, to peanuts, pine nuts, and most nuts. 2 of the 3 don't drink any alcohol. Amazingly, it was not a problem at all. In fact, they were prepared!! There was a vegetarian prix fixe menu, with both a large and a smaller option, plus we could order the 'non-alcoholic' version of the wine pairings. So we did. My son had phoned ahead to inform them about his food allergies, and Michaela and the bartender confirmed them when we were seated. The staff was so welcoming and completely knowledgeable about ingredients. They did a fantastic job keeping my son safe, like bringing out his dessert first so it would come close to the 5 other pastries that included nuts. The bartender made him a special cocktail that was hazelnut-free. The 'pesto' was made with pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. The staff told us the ingredients of every single dish and cocktail!! And literally showed us! Our waitress brought over a tray that included things like snails, crawfish, and artichokes, and then she told us where they'd sourced them in Czechia! Except the crawfish, as we learned they are a protected animal in Czechia, so they are brought in from Germany. We loved that part, hearing where all of these beautiful ingredients came from. I'll include a few photos from both my vegetarian and their regular prix fixe adventures. The pea soup was my favorite! My son said the deer main dish was the 'best thing I've ever eaten, in my entire life'. I didn't take photos of the non-alcoholic cocktails, but those were lovely. Especially a super fun foamy pomegranate one!
