Stopped here after a long walk for a bit of an afternoon respite. The decor here is lovely, with high ceilings and old world cafe feelings all around. The selection of pastries was nice and enticing. I went for the Savoy cake, which was surprisingly light and not too sweet. I thought the marzipan would overwhelmingly cloy the taste, but it just helped the cake out. The raspberry lemonade wasn't really much home to write about. It was hot outside, so I opted for a cold drink. Maybe next time I'll get a tea/coffee. Service was prompt and efficient, but not super warm. However, I wasn't looking for the latter, so I was fine with that type of service.
Café Louvre - Prague ( 8 to 23.30 ) We visited Café Louvre on a Saturday around noon, and although the line was long, it moved surprisingly fast. The staff is clearly very well organized and efficient. Service was quick, attentive, and professional. The waiters were elegantly dressed, which added to the classic, old-world charm of the place. We also got lucky and were seated by the window, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely outstanding -- truly one of those meals that makes every cell in your body feel happy. Everything was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and comforting, yet refined. You can tell this is a place that takes pride in doing things right. Yes, it's popular and a bit touristy -- but for a very good reason. Café Louvre lives up to its reputation, combining history, atmosphere, and excellent food with smooth, professional service. We highly recommend checking this place out when visiting Prague. It's a classic for a reason.
Beautiful restaurant historical from 1893! Warm attentive service from Veronica! Excellent cappuccino, macchiato, elegantly presented. Apple strudel with magical vanilla sauce. Delicious Steak tartare with rye toast. Highly recommend.
First and definitely not last time eating here I hope. I had what they call the French Breakfast and it was so delicious. The croissant had a good crunch to it and the taste was amazing but the truffle mayonnaise and egg inside of it took it to a whole new level of flavor for me. If I can recommend anything it's for sure this menu item. Take it mind that you have make a reservation and that's the best advice I can give you. We waited outside for an hour and 20 minutes in this beautiful cold weather in Prague. The wait was work it for me but my toes were crying lol. Cafe Savoy Děkuji vám
Is this place overpriced and a little bit of a tourist trap? Probably, but in my opinion it's worth a visit anyway. The elaborate high ceilings and chandeliers create a luxurious ambiance. I came on a Tuesday and it was quite busy, so I imagine on the weekends you're likely to have to wait for a table. Service was very friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. My waitress very helpfully explained the specials and filled me in on the intricacies of certain dishes, such as that the green pea soup is served warm rather than hot to preserve its color. I ordered the green pea soup, the egg and chive open-faced sandwich, and the mini věneček for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it! It was all very flavorful, even the egg sandwich, which I worried might be bland. My meal plus a small bottle of sparkling water came to 439 CZK, or about 20 USD, which to me, for a satisfying meal, great service, and memorable ambiance is well worth it.
Puhhhh lease. Touristy? Maybe. Fabulous? Yes. Random Thursday brunch with my buddy. I ordered the truffle scrambled egg croissant. Soooo good. Get it, Smell it and make your tummy happy. He had one of the "large breakfasts" and as a big eater said it was too much but everything g was good. Pro tip: head down to the restroom and get a peek into the window where the treats are made.
I thought this place might be too stuffy, but it wasn't at all. The staff was attentive and the food was decent. The clear star of the breakfast was the almond croissant. Do not sleep on the pasties and desserts here.

The truffle mayonnaise went well with the fries and the crepe was delicious!! We also got two English breakfasts and a Savoy breakfast. The large breakfasts came with fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. It was all good but a little more than I like to spend for breakfast. Beautiful stop for a special experience
The place is cute. We made reservations and came here for lunch. I stated off with a jasmine iced tea with pear, which was my favorite thing I had here. It was refreshing, but I wished it had less ice and more tea. For my main, I had the chicken schnitzel. It was good, but nothing special. It comes with a side dish of choice. I went with the cucumber salad, which was light. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Had a good time grabbing breakfast here. I had made reservations in advance and check with hostess was smooth. This cafe is probably the closest one can get feeling "Paris like" here is Prague. Food was great as well, I'd recommend stopping by here.
We came to cafe Savoy twice in two consecutive years. Their food is excellent, both presentation and taste. We have tried the savoy breakfast, French breakfast (twice), escargot and beef soup. We loved everything! The interior design is a treat itself. We snapped a few photos for memory. The service at cafe savoy is very attentive. But, I'd highly recommend that you make reservations beforehand to avoid long line. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed everything about Cafe Savoy, from its location, savory food, sweets, pastries, drinks, ambience, etc. They have the best vertnik, which I still think about today. It's like a chou/cream puff. A vetrnik is a type of caramel-glazed chou pastry that's filled with a rich and luscious vanilla and caramel whipped cream This place is classy with a beautiful interior. Service is great. This place can get quite busy any time of the day.
Oh so romantic is Cafe Savoy. As I stepped in, I was immediately drawn to their chandeliers and their neo-Renaissance ceiling. Charmed I was with their gentle and non-hurried teatime service. Savoring still of their soothing cup of "Cafe au Lait Savoy" and their magnificent salted caramel, choux pastry "Vetrnik"! Life is beautiful! CHEERS!
A most amazing restaurant with impeccable service, fantastic & delicious food. We had an amazing breakfast for four and loved everything which is quite unusual as we are picky eaters. Everything was done well served well and priced well considering it's in a tourist area without the touristy feel you would find elsewhere. They must go to place for breakfast lunch and even dinner. Loved their seasonal specialties, which happened to be asparagus season. read more
This cafe has a beautiful, elegant interior, with ornate artwork covering the ceilings and stunning chandeliers that create a truly charming atmosphere. I came for dinner with a reservation, and although the restaurant was quite busy, there was no wait when we arrived. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine selection and did a great job guiding us toward a bottle that paired well with our meal. The duck was the standout--perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining tender and wonderfully moist inside. The schnitzel, unfortunately, was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't particularly stand out or offer anything unexpected. Overall, it's a lovely spot if you happen to be in the area, especially for the atmosphere but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

Cafe Savoy is an excellent choice to grab breakfast before heading up to Prague Castle. Problem is, many other people know this and getting a table isn't easy. At first we were disappointed when they said they were completely booked and couldn't seat us. We asked if we could wait a bit and see what would happen. I think they respected that we were willing to wait it out a bit and after only 20 minutes or so, they found us a table and squeezed us in. We rewarded them by ordering plenty of food and thanked the manager many times over. Starting with some savory breakfast items, we went with a scrambled egg and truffle croissant, an egg Florentine croissant, and a ham and Gruyère croissant. The classic basic combination of ham and Gruyère is tried and true for a reason, and won out of the three. The Hollandaise sauce on the Florentine was pretty darn heavy and more than necessary. This croissant got pretty soggy quickly, but was still tasty with egg yolk and spinach everywhere. The truffled scrambled egg croissant was of course decadent. Eggs were loosely scrambled, which is to be expected in Europe. Shaved truffles for breakfast? Why not. While you are waiting for your savory items, don't be afraid to walk over to the bakery display and start getting your dessert strategy together. Of course many just come here for pastries and coffee, which isn't wrong. We just pointed at a bunch of things and had them delivered. I always enjoy how European pastries aren't quite as sweet as their American counterparts. You can enjoy the quality of the pastry and richness of the creme and custard fillings. Yes get one of those circular creme filled things. They are photogenic and will make everyone at home jealous. read more
Spent Christmas Breakfast at this Viennese cafe just by the river. Had an amazing French omelet and breakfast. Love the local Czech desert- Vetrnik- That's what heaven taste like; filled the egg yolk cream with vanilla from Madagscar into the body of the puffed dough and top it with caramel-- Sounds like heaven to me. This place didn't disappoint. Great service. Good price. read more
Famous older cafe. They get very busy so make reservations. They have some delicious pastries and cakes. Had the apple strudel and specialty savoy cake, which was marzipan, cherry and chocolate. Everything was very good it's worth going to. read more
Make reservations!! A historic cafe that was recommended by many people and it was a very filling but delicious breakfast. For two people, we ordered the French breakfast and the Savoy breakfast. So much comes with each breakfast- 2 drinks, pastry, protein, egg. It was beautifully served and every bite was delicious. It was a pricier breakfast than a simpler cafe breakfast but worth it (and way cheaper than a typical brunch in the states). Definitely go to the bathroom because on the way, you'll see the bakers in the bakery hard at work! Easy to walk to from the city center but there is some parking nearby if you drive. read more

Outstanding cafe that feels homey and luxurious all at the same time. Beautiful food, great customer service and unique options that truly sets it apart from any other cafe. I was really impressed that they had dessert wine! Very unique options at that... I ended up purchases 6 bottles of Utopia before I made my way out. Def reccomend stopping by and arrive hungry - I recommend trying multiple food items in addition to a great coffee. read more
Definitely worth checking out! We showed up around 3:00 PM on a cool, foggy Sunday with no reservation. There were groups of people ordering from the window - always a good sign. We were seated pretty much right away which was a shock without reservations. It was just the 2 of us so that made it easier. Started off with a glass of Pinot Noir - great red house wine but very light pour (though the glass was huge so maybe deceiving). Beer was super cold and served in attractive way with mat. Beer was cheaper than water. Hubby ordered ham and cheese open faced sandwich. The rye bread was incredible along with the butter and marmalade. He commented several times about the bread and that never happens! I had goat cheese with beets. Ok only but I was saving my appetite for dessert anyway. The vëtrnik was unbelievable. I didn't even know what I was ordering but saw it come by on another table and decided I needed that. lol. The caramel shell along with the pastry puff filling was THE BEST EVER. If I make it back to Prague again (and I certainly hope I do!) I'll come to Cafe Savoy just for that vëtrnik. We walked out 2 hours later to a packed sidewalk filled with locals and tourists alike. Service is good. Prices are fair. Ambiance is great. And vëtrnik is incredible. read more

Cafe Savoy in Prague is located at Vítězná 124/5, 150 00 Malá Strana, Czechia. Call them at +420 731 136 144. This high class restaurant is open 0800-2230H daily. For early dinner, we ordered the Bramborove, Cappuccino, Citronada, Detsky vyvar, Herold tmave pivo, Lioka kanci na ancov ckac and Rockefeller oysters. The cheque came to 1302.00 KC. The food was delicious. Their dark beer is very good. Well worth the fifteen minutes wait to be seated. Best to book for a reservation. The patisserie is at the foot of the stairs, leading to the second floor. The bathrooms are located in the lower level. On your way back while on the stairs, take a picture or video of the pastry chef in the process of creating delicious desserts. If on a wheelchair, I do not know how to reach the bathroom. The bathroom for men was clean, no off smell. They do not have a diaper changing table. They have a clothes hook inside the door. I liked this place. It was very cute and a great menu selection. The croissant was very tasty but heavy on the truffle mayo. I scraped half of it off. It came with sliced boiled eggs which I wasn't expecting and think scrambled would have been better. The truffle mayo made my husband feel sick for the rest of the day. Definitely get a reservation. read more

Delicious Food, Historic Venue, Excellent Service. This place is a MUST DO for Foodies! Reservations are recommended if you plan to visit during a busy time (especially for breakfast). RECOMMENDATIONS: * Open Faced Sandwich: Ham over Potato Salad. * Apple Strudel with Cream Sauce * I am confident that the rest of the items on the menu are to a high standard given this place previously received a Michelin star. * Breakfast: They're known for their breakfast (and pastries) here, so I am definitely coming back for the omelet with truffle croissant! This place tasted so nice, we came here twice! A really nice, relaxing place for a good breakfast in Prague. We had the French toast, which is made using a croissant, and the Gruyère omelette. Both were very very tasty. The bread and butter served with the meal was also incredible (maybe our favorite part!) We did not make reservations either day (though it was Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe weekends are more busy) and we found the service to be attentive and quick. Entrance to this location is the first door to the right of the main entrance, if coming from the statue. Once up the stairs you'll make it to the rooftop bar. I ordered the frozen mocha and a plate of nachos. The nachos weren't anything to die for but we're still enjoyable. The frozen mocha on the other hand was fantastic. It comes as a double espresso with ice cream at the top. Views were great and ambience was nice. I came during august and the hornets were a little annoying to deal with flying around the food but the views and drink was worth it. read more
We came here in May 2023 and I can't stop thinking about it. Such a beautiful restaurant. The food is as good as the space is beautiful. The service was good. I feel like they're a bit snooty here but that's just how we felt. We didn't have reservations, but we came in during the middle of the week when they opened and they didn't seem too happy we didn't have reservations but they seated us anyway. I'm glad they did! The food was to die for. My mom had the croissant with scrambled eggs and truffle and I had the eggs florentine croissant with spinach and hollandaise sauce. It was huge! Definitely enough to share. My mom had the white loose leaf tea (Silver tips Nepal) - she said it was the best tea she's ever had. Really special experience. Can't wait to come back (with reservations). Of course I had to get some "Věneček" cream puffs with cream filling to go! Amazing. read more

I have heard of this cafe over social media and had to try it out! Nevertheless, I was impressed and still think about the amazing breakfast I shared with my friend while I was in Praha. While my friend ordered the classic breakfast, I ordered the traditional French and it did not disappoint. The croissant with scrambled eggs and truffles on top was truly a crowd pleaser! I've been to France before and have never had such a decadent breakfast as this. It was truly remarkable and delicious. The French breakfast came with a side of fries, salad, latte, orange juice and a chocolate croissant and it was incredible. As for the service, it was decent as our waiters checked in on us and asked for feedback. However, I wished they didn't sit us so close to the entrance door because it was cold that day. The interior of this cafe is beautiful. It's one of the oldest cafes in Praha and I'm so glad to have dined here during my time. The food came also pretty quick and was so so worth it. Highly recommend for anyone who is traveling to try breakfast here. read more
