I have been in STL for 5 years and have not found a go to place for mani and pedicure. I found this place since it was close to home and after reading through the reviews. The nail reviews are always hard because people always leave mixed reviews but this one had decent ones. I got the gel manicure which lasted about a week and a pedicure done. This salon is amazing! As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed, and was offered something to drink. The nail technicians are so friendly and talented at what they do. I just moved here from Arizona, and always had issues finding a good nail salon out there. This was the first nail salon in MO that I came to and i'm so happy to say I have found my permanent go-to for all of my services. Jason did an amazing job at this new set and the details on the accent finger are phenomenal! This is definitely my favorite set of acrylics I have ever gotten and i'm looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for my fill. The luxurious ones, the hole in the wall ones and everything in between- I will literally never go anywhere else in St Louis now that I go to August 1st. I have had acrylics on for nearly 15 years and hands down, this is the best salon to get your nails done no matter what you're looking for. Jason, the owner, does my nails- and he is friendly, professional and genuinely amazing at what he does. Every time I come in to get my nails done he exceeds my expectations and then some. I am giving this place 1 star for the mani/pedi I just received as the people are very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. My mani/pedi was very rushed and the paint job was that of a 5 year old unfortunately. I could have done a better job myself. I don't think she filed my nails either or cut them at all. The woman who serviced me was very nice but I"m super disappointed to spend 40$ on a really sloppy job. Loved Jason!! He did a beautiful job on my nails and did a great job!! My nails were beautiful and he was very attentive. So unfortunately I have to update this review because as much as I loved Jason. I recently had a horrible experience there. I made an appointment at 5 on Friday with Jason and then called and changed it to 4, traffic had me running late so I called to let them know I wouldn't be there until 4:15. I came in at 4:15 and right behind me a walk in came in right behind me. We both wanted the dip powder on nails. At first they told the woman that they couldn't take her because they had an appointment being me, but they decided to take her anyway. Now I didn't have problem with that what I did have a problem with is what happened next. They put nail polish remover on me and had me sit there for 45 minutes unattended, they didn't even switch off and come back. I had the appointment with Jason's wife who Completely did not do my nails at all and Jason did them after me sitting there for 45 minutes so for a polish change I was there for two hours needless to say I will never be back. Their customer service and lack of attention was atrocious. Especially being that I come to their establishment on a regular. Very disappointed in their customer service. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. I get a fabulous care every time I come here. I have the mani and pedi. As always, my nails look awesome and pretty. The lady who helped me shaped my nails beautifully. That makes my nails look longer, and more define. It is absolutely amazing. They have a variety of nail color selection. I mean huge collection. What I love is the fact that they do have color chart so you can easily decide what color you like the best. The interior is beautiful and luxurious. Decor is inviting and pretty. You can tell they really take care of their place. Staffs are super nice, friendly and provide exceptional GREAT service. My mother and I came here on a Sunday for pedicures. Glad we called ahead - they had appointments for the next 2 hours after I called. Overall, good pedicures, but nothing above and beyond other similar nail salons I've been to. Be sure to ask for a menu for pedicure options before you sit down, to make sure you're on the same page about services and cost. I don't think everything on the menu for our service (an August 1st Pedicure aka Signature Pedicure) was actually performed (e.g., hot oil, sea salt scrub, cooling mask), but still decent. $45/person for that service. Their hours seem a bit confusing, so again, call ahead. Their door says 9:30am - 7pm on Mondays through Saturdays, but nothing listed for Sunday hours. Again, we got our pedicures on a Sunday, so they're open, but I'm not sure what the range of hours are. Facebook, Yelp, and Google hours listed aren't consistent. One con: the ladies doing the pedicures asked what I would consider personal questions when making small talk. Are you married? How long? Do you have any kids? WHY NOT? Where are you from? No, really, where are you from? (I'm not white or black, so they assumed I wasn't American.) ONE MAJOR PRO: The music. Man, I was jamming. 80's, baby. They said it was a Pandora station (input: "Unbreak My Heart" by Toni Braxton). I'd come back, if only for the music. read more

I have a shellac manicure every two weeks, and after having my haircut at the salon next door I gave this place a shot. When I walked in the salon seemed nice and they had a variety of color choices available in the gel polish. The actual manicure is what I was so unimpressed with. The worst I've ever had. My nails looked better before having them done today. The shaping was off. I wish she would have just left them alone. The paint is the worst. They already look a week grown out from how far away she painted from the cuticles. After going to my car and looking in the light she missed half the nail on one in particular and I reluctantly went back inside to see if she could touch up. This is a little nail salon on Long Road in the Chesterfield Valley in a small strip mall. In case you were wondering, the name is significant in that this was the day they opened in 2011. The owner(didn't catch his name) was very friendly and accommodating, greeting us as soon as we walked in. First impression: adorable purple and silver decor with a definite divide between manicures and pedicures stations of hanging beads and Bindhi looking silver stencil work on the walls. Cute! The shellac manicure I got looks very nice and I had a good selection and brands of shellac to choose from. The paraffin dip and neck rub were nice touches. Although they seemed a little under-staffed for a Saturday they got me in and out in under an hour. If I am out this way again I will definitely stop back in. I was on a schedule so I decided to call ahead and make an appointment for a mani/pedi for my friend and I. I'm glad I did, as they were booked up! Showed up 15 minutes early and they were ready for us. While we picked out our polish (I went gel, my friend went normal polish) two women started the pedicure process. The massage chairs were awesome, they offered us a beverage as soon as we sat down, and we were presented a menu while our feet soaked. For a normal mani/pedi combo it was $35. Since I had gel it was $55. The music was also nice (think Jason Mraz, John Mayer...). Very relaxing. The gel manicure was great too. A ton of color options. I've never had one before, and I've had it for 30ish hours now and have showered twice and no signs of wear! There's also a guarantee so if it's messed up within 10 days I believe you can go back to get it fixed. Trank was who did my mani/pedi and she was super friendly and sweet! Today was my first service at this salon and I chose it because of they offer gel pedicures and the salon was well-rated on Yelp. I wasn't disappointed! The salon was nice and clean. They offered me a bottle of water, which was nice. I chose a classic pedicure ($28) with gel nail color ($10). The pedicure was performed by two friendly and talented nail technicians. The classic pedicure includes a nice foot soak in the whirlpool tab and a lovely foot and calf massage. The resulting pedicure was glossy and generally neatly done. I visited the salon on my way home from work. I was a walk in. I expected a wait because it was a Friday afternoon, but they got me in quickly. I only needed a basic manicure, no acrylics or anything. I picked a color that looked pink but came out more orange than I'd wanted. The lady I was with noticed that I was questioning my choice and offered to let me grab another color. I decided, however, to stick with my original choice. In the end, it was different than what I would normally get and I kinda liked it. The only thing about my visit that makes me not want to go back was that the actual polish job was iffy. You could totally see where the different layers of polish were on some of my fingers. It was disappointing. I will go back, but I probably won't use the same lady. She was incredibly nice but I think the conversation she was having with me distracted her too much. read more

This is my go-to nail salon in Chesterfield. I have been a number of times and always received a fantastic manicure. Each time I walk in, I'm offered a refreshment and feel instantly relaxed. I really love getting the dip powder - it lasts me 3 weeks or more without getting chipped or damaged! Not to mention, it is at a reasonable price of $30 for a basic color. On occasion they will add a parrifan dip at the end of the manicure which leaves my hands feeling soft and silky smooth. The owner, Jason, is attentive and remembers his customers, which makes me feel valued as a returning patron. I went to this salon based on all the great reviews, but was sadly disappointed. I paid extra for a deluxe pedicure and there was nothing deluxe about it. It included three different products on the feet and legs - scrub, oil and clay mask. Each application, which included a massage, literally took about 20 seconds each. I have never received a pedicure where I didn;t get a lovely, fairly lengthy massage until August 1st Nail & Spa. Same for the manicure; approximately 30 second hand massage and a slap of polish. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. It's not as though they were busy, there was only one other client in the salon. Not sure where all these great reviews are coming from. The staff here was extremely friendly and welcoming. Amidst another STL 'snow storm', I was scrambling to find a place to get my nails done before a big event. My usual place was shut down (for an inch of snow?! Come on!) so luckily I stumbled across this salon nestled in a small strip mall.
