I normally expect to pay $75 to $90 per hour with an additional $40 to $50 tip. That's what top places expect. I've been a customer of Soothing Oasis for a few months now. In my opinion, this place is a best kept secret. The price per hour is unheard of these days and their best therapist, Vicky, is on par with the very best in the business. This is a "clean" business in every way so don't expect locked doors and dark rooms. It's a place where professional men and women can feel safe and comfortable. Point is, this is not a Rub Maps type of spa. Expect employees to come in and out of the room with fresh towels, etc. as they often work as a team and they use correct sheet and towel placement for modest folks like me. I noticed one person complained that the session door is left open just a crack. Well yes. That's for everyone's safety and it's a tell tale sign of a legit place! If you want one the best massage experiences in St Louis metro, Soothing Oasis is your place. It also just happens to have the best massage therapist in the country... Vicky. PS You need to request her specifically by name. Tex S

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Vicki and Jenny.

The massage chair and head massage felt amazing, and my scalp has never felt so clean. The products they used smelled and felt luxurious, and my hair was noticeably softer afterward. The massage lasted a generous amount of time, and the facial left my skin glowing. Jena, one of the owners, went above and beyond at the end of my visit. She took extra time to teach me how to enhance my natural waves and shared so much helpful information. You can tell she's genuinely passionate about what she does. The complimentary scrunchie & hair products were such a sweet touch! My only wish is that they were closer (it's about a 40-minute drive for me) and open on Sundays. If they had a location in Clayton or Richmond Heights, I'd be there every month. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing, rejuvenating experience.

(Spoiler alert: it was worth the wait) I had a hectic, rainy morning but Hannah took such good care of me. She went over the scanning of my scalp and was so detailed. I was mentally still in a frenzy when she was asking initial questions that I couldn't answer but pointed things out she noticed through the scan that she thought would be best to focus on. Very quiet and serene space. There was only a curtain separating the other room where someone else was getting serviced so not completely private. It made me feel bad for talking when I was answering questions. I'm sorry to the other client! What tripped me up was that not only is it a head spa, but what you lay on doubles as a back massager and arm/leg compression. It was good at first and then became overwhelming but Hannah turned it down per my request. I also got a mini facial! I did doze off and jolted awake when she put I think serum on my face like OH I'm still here HA! It was that relaxing. I did buy some product for shine and sun/heat protectant which was their best seller recent restocked for $40. As soon as she had me smell it I, again, was like, IMMEDIATELY YES. TAKE MY MONEY! She put my hair in a little braid wet since it's better for the product if it air dries verses blow dries, there were little chocolates and water bottles as well as mini samples to choose from. The girls there were so sweet. If any of my bachelorette plans fall through I told her I would book here instead hahah Good thing to note: use the handle at the top of the door to open lol I will be back!

Soon as you pull into the strip mall, it's tucked into a corner next to the Veterinarian office. Upon entry, the place was really clean, but not alot of furniture or decor so don't be alarmed, you are in the right place. What was great was that we had just called 45 min earlier and they had no problem taking us. We signed up for the couple's massage and our room was ready upon arrival. Private room with 2 tables next to each other. We got settled in and the masseurs were ready about 15 min later. I tell you what, that massage was great! They did a wonderful job with the level of pressure applied and definitely did not rush through the process. Very nice ladies! Our total, $115 for 2 people at 60 min!!! Wow!!! What a deal!!

So I ventured in, albeit with reservations. The foot massage was really nice but the room was noisy and every time I got relaxed there was a noise to unsettle my nerves. My masseuse was Linda, who did a great body massage. I prefer deep tissue and couldn't fathom how such a tiny woman would be capable of inflicting pain. To my surprise she was able to "man handle" me with ease. She was literally on her hands and knees on top of me with her elbows in my back. It was wonderful in summary and I plan to return very soon. I now highly recommend this place. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of 4 is because of the noise level during the foot massage. Hopefully they figure out how to fix that problem.

Definitely going back for more! Red light therapy isn't for me, though. It's like a suntan bed and I am claustrophobic, so not a good match. The spa is sparkling clean and lovely. Worth the 40 minute drive from my house.

Totally dissatisfied with this experience, proceed with caution!…read more My boyfriend and I visited Woodhouse for the first time and each received two services each. I booked us each a 50-minute Swedish Body Balance Massage and a 50-minute WH Signature Classic HydraFacial expecting a relaxing, luxurious experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but. We arrived more than 30 minutes early being that it was our first visit, and the front desk staff felt a bit unwelcoming and dismissive right off. We were briefly shown the locker rooms and changed into robes. It was a little off-putting having to choose to change in either the shower area on the wet floor, or next to the toilet. My boyfriend and I met back in the "quiet room" where we were asked to fill out more paperwork. It's a bit annoying to have to fill out the same paperwork that we filled out online before our visit. The quiet room I might add was very crowded and not so quiet. There were several people on their phones, FaceTiming, most were not even trying to keep quiet. Moving on, our first service was the Hydrafacial. The Classic was supposed to be 50 minutes, but I looked at the clock on the Hydrafacial machine when the aesthetician began and when it ended, and it was 35 minutes. In addition, at least 5 of those minutes was spent under the red-light device. Online it doesn't specify that a red light would be used unless booking the 80-minute Deluxe Hydrafacial. To me, it's a copout to stick someone under the red light device for a shorter service, and would have liked more time actually getting the facial I'm paying for. I have a red light mask at home, so for me this was not needed. Next up were our massages and I'm being nice by saying they were underwhelming. Both my and my boyfriend's unfriendly therapists asked us separately (we did NOT get a couples massage) to choose an aromatherapy oil. We chose one, but I did NOT book us for Aromatherapy massages, so I was a little confused. In hindsight I should have spoken up, but I thought this "came with" the Body Balance massage. I did say at the start however, that I did NOT want any upgrades or add-ons and that I wanted exactly the services I booked. Onto the lackluster massage where I specifically mentioned to focus on my lower back, but at least 5 minutes was spent "working a knot" out of my shoulder which I didn't feel I had. It felt rushed and mechanical, not customized or attentive. To make matters worse, the treatment rooms were surprisingly noisy. The entire time both my boyfriend and I heard people filling what sounded like ice buckets, and he heard someone keep saying "cleaning crew" or something similar during his massage. Far from the serene environment I expected. And lastly, like the facial, it concluded in well under 50 minutes. The therapist walked me back to the quiet room and asked if I wanted anything to drink like a mimosa, and I said yes thank you, that'd be nice. She never returned with that drink. At the conclusion of our afternoon, we changed and went to check out. Expecting to pay $800 for our four services, we were charged $830 ($15 for each of us for aromatherapy). Sigh. I pointed this out to the front desk worker and said that we did NOT ask for any upgrades. I pulled up my account which showed where I did not choose aromatherapy. I stated that I was clear about not wanting any upgrades. Same with my boyfriend. He did not agree to anything besides what we booked online. The worker stated she could not remove the $30 charge, but that the owner could call me the following week to discuss. I'm still waiting to receive that call. Overall $30 is not a lot compared to what we paid for the other services, but I feel this is an extremely sneaky and unprofessional tactic to nickel and dime customers. Overall, this spa charges luxury prices but delivers a very average experience. There are plenty of other places that offer better service, more attentive staff, and far better value. I've frequented the Four Seasons many times, and if it weren't for their spa being closed for renovations, I would have gone there. I won't be returning to Woodhouse and will give my business back to the Four Seasons once they reopen.
