BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD I've been getting massages here & there since I was young (former gymnast here) & let me tell you-- this was the FIRST time I actually felt like I got a massage that was 1) ACTUALLY worth it! 2) ACTUALLY deep tissue and 3) with a masseuse that I would WANT to specifically go back to! Laura was absolutely amazing- from a warm & kind demeanor, checked in with me about pressure (and ACTUALLY giving me DEEP pressure like I said I wanted!), & one of my favorite things was before we even began I was asked if there were any areas that I was NOT okay with being massaged! (never been asked that before at a massage but I think that is just a really awesome way to help clients feel safe, informed, and gives them a chance to speak up if there are any areas they prefer not be massaged! Way to go Laura! ) Overall 10/10 & will most definitely be going back soon!

I have been coming to this location for a long time to see an independent massage therapist who…read moreworks out of the building, and unfortunately, an ongoing issue with an uncontrolled dog has reached the point where I feel compelled to leave a review. There is a small white dog named Tucker who is routinely allowed to roam the premises unleashed and unmanaged. He is reactive, barks at clients, runs toward people, and jumps on them. This is not an isolated incident. Today, Tucker was at the entrance barking at me when I arrived, so I waited outside until his owner retrieved him before entering. Once I was inside, she put him back down, and he immediately ran toward me and began jumping on me. I had to physically push him away while she called for him. She eventually retrieved him and took him around the corner. A short time later, Tucker came running back toward me again. At that point, I had to go into a bathroom and close the door to get away from him while waiting for his owner to retrieve him. This is unacceptable in a professional establishment. For clarity, my objection is not to dogs being present. There are other dogs in this building, including a working service dog and another small dog, and I have never had an issue with them. The issue is allowing a reactive dog to roam freely and repeatedly approach and jump on clients without effective restraint or management. I understand this has been an ongoing concern, which makes the continued lack of management particularly frustrating. Clients should be able to enter and move through a business without being barked at, jumped on, pursued, or forced to hide in a bathroom to avoid someone's dog. Tucker needs to be leashed, contained, or kept out of client-accessible areas. Allowing this to continue is irresponsible and unfair both to clients and to the dog.

We usually do couples…read moremassages, but due to me having an injury, we couldn't, so we went with that, as it looked relaxing and it was something we had never done before. We walked in and were greeted by a very kind receptionist, then led to the lounge to wait. It was quite calming, though you could hear the traffic outside. When our appointment time came, our technicians (? I don't know what to call them) took us to the couples room, where we proceeded to have the most relaxing experience of our lives. We had the 60 minute treatment, which included a "mini facial". I was expecting maybe a quick wash with a sheet mask. Oh nooooo, this was much more than that! Several different eye and skin masks, then our whole heads were in a steam capsule while we had arm/shoulder massages. We honestly didn't want to leave. Our hair / scalp feels amazing, my hair has had it rough lately, due to it being summer and it now looks fantastic. This was definitely money well spent, and I'll be going back.

Best and most affordable day spa in the area!…read more Spend the day at the spa with an amazing team of relax and pamper specialist. I would like to recognize Cait and Gabe for their extraordinary services. Gabe gave me one of the best relax to the table massages. Cait gave my face a new glow with her amazing facial services. This is the walk around in complementary white robes type of spa. The spa has affordable bundles and à la carte options for whatever your needs may be. They do offer pregnancy services as well. They have a full nail salon as well and are accepting walk-ins. I do recommend having a reservation, but at least give them a call ahead of time. Accessibility note: the only thing not accessible is the head spa area as it is down a flight of stairs. All other spa areas can be made accessible. For my service dog handlers, I would recommend calling in advance and making specific requests instead of walking in.

I can not believe I am just writing this review. I started going to metro the spa over 15 years ago…read morefor massages. I consider massages a part of my health. And now go twice a month Through out the last 15 years I have had times where due to my family giving me a gift card or because of heavy financial constraint I have seen other massage therapist. Every time with other massage therapist I have been disappointed. I have never had massage outside Metro the spa that is as good as RC. There has been a few time when due to my schedule I had another massage therapist besides RC at Metro and they have all been amazing as well. He works hard to hire qualified individuals! Specifically about RC and how he gives a massage. He listens, before each massage he asks how are you feeling and will adjust the massage based on what is bothering you. You DO NOT get a cookie cutter massage. Also I have to rave about that fact that I have been getting a deep tissue massage and it is done in such a way I am still relaxed and can get my "massage drunk". His skill, knowldge of the muscles and flow of the massage are superior. Another huge bonus to going to Metro is when you get an hour massage, you get the full hour. All other places I have been to give a 5 minute undress and 5 minute dress time. Which means your massage is 50 minutes max. And those places generally would always short you even more time. Most of the times I had massage at Massage Lux and it was about 40 mins from hands on to hands off so they could turn the room over quicker. You will not get shorted at Metro. I will add that because you get your full time sometimes they run a little behind. So do not be in a hurry or have any plans after your massage. As for pricing. Their prices are comparable if not lower than any other place I have gone too. And the service is top quality. Highly recommend Metro the Spa and RC!!
