$5 burger Monday deal
Bianca S.

I tried Augie's when it was Mr Sizzle and I did really like it at first, but the last couple times I went weren't great. Anyway, I heard they had $5 burger Mondays so figured that would be a good time to give them another shot. Decor inside is the same. Tables and a bar. Staff weren't the friendliest. I ordered online and my food wasn't ready when it said it would be. The burger was very basic in flavor honestly, I think it was a frozen patty. It didn't taste the same and I probably wouldn't go back.

What a really nice vibe. The owner is very nice and personable. The food was super good. Fantastic place for sports.

Vegan classic
Rebecca H.

Augie's has $7 vegan classic burgers on Mondays. Otherwise, I might not have gone. I was reluctant to try Augie's because these are the same owners as Mr. Sizzle's, where I was mistakenly served a meat burger two out of three visits. These visits were spaced out by months, so it appeared to be a consistent problem. Then I started hearing from others that they had the same problem. The $3 upcharge for vegan burgers also dampened my enthusiasm. For a classic burger, that's nearly 40% more. So, while $8 for a classic seemed like an OK price, $11 for a vegan one felt steep. On top of that, the vegan burger isn't a smash burger - it's a puck shaped burger, which is fine, except that smash burgers are what this place does. If you order a vegan burger and the edges flattened and crispy, that's because it's made of ground cow meat. They do offer vegan bacon, which is an upgrade over their previous business. I know a three star review seems rough, but it's supposed to mean, "A-OK." I'd eat here in a pinch, but only on a Monday. It's also a good setting for a mixed group of vegans and omnivores, drinkers and non-drinkers. Nice for a work party of happy hour because you can get a beer or a milkshake. I wouldn't go as far as to say, "I'm a fan" which is 4 stars.

Butter Burger and Loganberry Milkshake

My husband and I used to come to Augie's when it was Mister Sizzles, and we were so sad when it closed. We were then excited when it reopened and rebranded! We love the space here and we always sit at the bar and get great service. I always get a milkshake, and this time I got the loganberry. It was so good and creamy! They load you up with whipped cream which I love. I got the butter burger, which is technically on the secret menu but it's so cheesy and buttery. I love it so much. The poutine is amazing every time we get it. Highly recommend checking Augie's out if you haven't yet!

The game over with fries

We were traveling here from California during a New York snow storm. We decided to grab a bite along our way at Augie's. We were immediately greeted with a warm smile and a friendly atmosphere. We were visiting on a Monday and were pleasantly surprised to find out it was $5 sizzles hamburger Monday. Their menu had a plentiful selection and had adorable names to match. We ordered A few sizzles, the hot chicken, fries, strawberry milkshake, the game over and the poutine. All of us collectively agreed that all the food was phenomenal and we loved that they had gluten free option for our kids, of which my daughter said it was the best gluten free burger they have ever had. Destiny was the sweetest and came out and told us the poutine wasn't up to her standards and that she was going to make them again for us and we appreciated that so much. Having such an amazing staff like Destiny and the other gentlemen working, really sets the bar high for us. The decor brought the whole restaurant together and it was such a precious moment when they hung our children's art work up. If you are ever in Buffalo, Augie's is a must! It's well worth driving through a snow storm to eat here. We can't wait till the next visit!

This burger was AMAZING!!! I love smash burgers and have tried many and this was definitely one of the best I've ever had! Also the owners are so kind and have a really inspiring story - you can tell they really care about providing customers with an amazing experience and put their heart into this restaurant!

Poutine

Highly recommend trying any of the burgers, especially the "mothership." Get the poutine too. Service was great, the workers are really friendly. The inside is really modern and the ceilings are high. They have an outdoor patio you can sit on too. Hardly a wait to get the food brought to our table. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

Chicken nuggets are my kids favorite paired with the grilled cheese. I love the Mr Fungi burger and the milkshakes are amazing.

Saint Neri - Charcuterie plus nduja and prosciutto and crab toast

There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.

I was quite skeptical given I was a Panos regular, that served the same cuisine formerly at the same location. I'm not going to lie, I was intimadated by the menu prior to going. But that quickly went out the window, lol. First off, this place is gorgeous!! Pink and gold everywhere, with gold velvet booths!! Definetly a vibe !! The waitress was very down to earth and was well informed about the menu. She explained Mira had a small plate concept, they encourage to order a course from each section to share. I'm not going to lie, each dish was phenomenal!! No exaggeration!! And we were actually full afterwards. One friends ordered humus, I have never been a fan. However, that warm and fluffy naan with the perfectly blended humus ( i'm a texture girl) paired with the onions, spices, and oil !!! I was surprisingly pleased!! And my friends said don't sleep on that chicken thigh and i agree!! Beautifully grill chicken seasoned to the T, covered in onions and peppers laid tasty yougurt sauce. Honestly i could go on and about each dish we tried because it was just that good. Overall, I'd 100% recommend Mira, it is definetly worth the making the reservation. I would just say be open minded, ask questions as needed and get ready for an amazing culinary experiance. Great service, food comes out quickly and amazing great drink. It can get a little pricey but it is soooooooooooooooooo worth it !! I promise !!!

So it was a pleasant surprise when a friend and I decided that we'd stop by. This was their first time here and admittedly I was happy because they haven't had many pleasant food experiences in Buffalo. I believe they haven't been going to the best places but that's another conversation for another day. Okay so let's dig into the experience. We were running late and arrived at approximately 9:40 pm. I was nervous that we'd either a) be turned away or b) not get the best service since it was so close to the time that they closed. Let me be the first to say that that was not the case at all. We were seated in the most perfect little nook tucked away near the door. Dimly lit but cozy for good vibes and good food. Our server Megan came over and she was truly delightful. She provided really great recommendations. It was the perfect mix of personal reccs, insight on bestsellers, and answers to our mainy questions. We ultimately settled on two pizzas, fried rice, and a buyer (not pictured). The food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were incredible and the service was undeniable. Special shoutout to Megan again for offering a one of a kind experience. Misc: There's a parking lot next door to the building never knew. Prices are a tad steep but the vibes are good. Kitchen closes at 10. Check hours before going. Fried rice is a tad spicy but delicious. Drinks are perfect! I can't wait to go back :]

We were looking for a spot to grab a small bite and some drinks to wind down and didn't realize just how good this spot would end up being! Their Detroit-style pizza was legit, with really good dough texture and a nice frico. I wish I had found Marble + Rye earlier on in our trip because I would've definitely gone back for more of the pizza. We weren't looking for any more food, but their menu sounded really good and if I'm in town again, I'll certainly stop in to try some of their other offerings. Regardless, I definitely recommend the pizza! They also have a really good cocktail menu. Their bar staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from pizza, I'd make sure to stop in for a cocktail, as well. Overall, our time at Marble + Rye was short and unplanned, but it still left a great impression and made me wish I could go back a second time to explore both the cocktail and food menus further. Check it out if you're in downtown Buffalo!
