Finally got over to Mint Mojito Bar which has been on my list for a while! It was super cute inside. Our friends brought their dog so we sat on the back patio which was really nicely shaded. You go up to the bar and order and then they bring your food to your table. All the bartenders were super nice. Our food was soooooo good. The chicken in the chicken empanadas was so flavorful and the chipotle cheese fries were actually insane idk how they got the fries to be so crispy. I will say my mojito was just okay but I think that one is likely on me because I ordered the coconut mojito and didn't look closely enough at the menu and then realized it had miso in it which I think gave it a bit of a salty taste? And that overpowered the coconut for me but it was still decent! We also had the braised pork belly and that was mouthwatering good. Best hidden gem in Buffalo and I hate saying that because it shouldn't be a hidden gem. It should be yelled from the rooftops that Buffalo has a mojito bar and it is amazing. The empanadas are so delicious. Every one I've had has been savory and the crust is flakey with so much flavor. Then there are the drinks... so many unique cocktails that taste so good it's dangerous. A personal favorite is the Southern Belle. The yellow pepper in it adds such a bold but inviting flavor. The bartenders were so attentive and constantly refilling my water. Hydration is essential! I had three different cocktails and they were all fabulous - one special, one mojito, and one cocktail from the cocktail list. Everything was great. I brought home an order of mushroom empanadas for the love of my life. They came with two suaces and pickled veggies. Everything was perfect. Mint is a cool little bar and restaurant on Niagara St. They offer specialty cocktails and a menu to match. It is a little on the costly side, so it's probably not a place I would frequent. My husband and I had one cocktail each, and our total with tip was $25. My mojito was flavored with lavender and lemon, but I didn't like it all that much, and I love lavender. Cute little place on Niagara street. I came with a couple of friends, one who had been before and recommended it. I tried the Hibiscus and Passionfruit Mojitos and they were both flavorful and refreshing. I was kind of surprised that there weren't more options for Mojitos like Mango or Strawberry etc but maybe the menu changes with the seasons. There was also a cocktail menu and daily cocktail specials. We also got some empanadas and cheese fries to split which were very good. The menu said they enforce a 90 minute table rule but we went on a Thursday and weren't rushed at all to the point where we had to go to the bar to ask for our check. We started out with a server and then she kind of disappeared and two nice gentlemen were manning the tables and bar. They kept our waters full. I would definitely come back. I've never met a mojito I didn't like. Mostly because I've only ever had one, and it was at MINT. When MINT opened over the summer, I knew I'd have to get there as soon as possible. While it did take me a little bit, I finally made it out with a friend last night, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! We met around 7 on a Saturday night and were able to be seated right away. I ordered a grapefruit mojito, and while it was definitely on the strong side, it was really flavorful, and I enjoyed it. We got some food to share as well: the chipotle cheese fries, chicken empanadas, and pork empanadas. The fries were absolutely addicting, and the empanadas were delicious as well. It's hard to pick my favorite of the two, but I'd have to go with the pork -- the sauce they served on the side was incredible. The service was very attentive, and while it was a little loud, it was really lively and the vibe there was great. I would go back in a heartbeat. We tried all the empanadas and from favorite to least favorite: 1) Chicken 2) Chickpea 3) Pork 4) Shrimp 5) Beef All of the sauces that accompany the empanadas were fantastic, the perfect accoutrement to each and all were different. The chicken was just an absolute flavor bomb, soooo so good. Each order comes with 2. Service was attentive. Great meal, great drinks, great vibe....in an area that is being revitalized, Mint is another great addition. Highly recommend. Some recommendations: - Shades for the front windows (the sun beating down on you through the glass was rather annoying at times, had to wear sunglasses inside) - Consider doing flights of tequila/mezcal. Wanted to try a few but didn't want full pours. So that stopped me from purchasing. - Signage outside that indicates the entrance is on the side, not in front. Visited for the first time this past Sunday after brunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted and felt very welcomed by the staff. It was a beautiful (but humid) day out, so the hostess offered to seat us either inside or on their patio. We opted for the bar so we can get a good feel of the restaurant. Was an avid Mint Mojito fan since they opened last year. They have really good cocktails, great ambiance and a very limited food menu only comprised of fries , empanadas and a rotating seasonal menu. Unfortunately the service has been less that welcoming. From our first few visits we have been pressured by the bar staff to leave tips or questioned due to the amount of the tip. Unfortunately on our last visit we were denied access to the establishment. Upon being seated, we were pulled to the side by one of the bartenders, Mark, who stated that the "the staff does not work for free" and that we we were no longer welcomed in the establishment. read more

Cute bar with limited food but heavy focus on drinks. There are only a few tables in the bar, and they come with a 90 minute time limit. However the limit wasn't enforced with us, which originally we thought was because one person arrived late and we were waiting for her food and we thought they couldn't make us leave while we waited for that... But her empanadas never came and an hour later we left without them. I think the entrance to the parking lot is on Niagara St, but the sign says to enter from Breckenridge, and then there's no entrance to parking there and you can't go back because it's a one way street, so the lot had one car in it (guessing employee) and everyone else had street parking. If you get one thing here, the chipotle cheese fries are amazing and feed 3 people. I had to bring some home and they had giant takeout containers when each item is actually pretty small itself so it seemed wasteful. The desserts came in little baby food sized jars. They were delicious, but again focus was on small portions with big flavor, so that has so be what you're looking for.
