Fantastic place! Went there for the first time as part of a community event where the event planners told Breezy they'd probably have between 10-20 people, and almost 50 showed up. They took it in stride, and even through they didn't have a huge staff on for a Thursday night, the staff that was there provided incredible service, and juggled bar duties as well as getting food orders out smooth as could be. Food was great! Drinks were great! I was especially happy that they had ginger beer on tap. They have a good menu variety, and a number of vegan options. Good vibes all around. I've been here before, and everytime I have enjoyed it! I came here for cinco de mayo with my friends, and the energy was great. Music was playing, decorations were bright, definitely a good vibe for cinco. The pitcher of margs is pretty expensive, but boy are they strong. We had an amazing first time experience here! This was one of a few restaurants reviewed by someone from out of town on YouTube and we decided to try it for ourselves. It has a relaxed atmosphere with lively staff. Our waiter Max was out of this world. He made our experience a memorable one and made us feel like old friends! I am so sorry but their food just is not good. We got the loaded fries I think called disco fries and chips, salsa and queso and I was just not a fan. The queso gave a really sharp cheddar flavor too much. The chips were good though. The fries were mid at best. I want to say I'll comeback to try more food but I'm not sure. This was a nice place to come with friends to celebrate a birthday. We ate outside on one of their picnic tables, during the pandemic summer. The tables were spaced out and wait staff was wearing masks. I went inside to use the restroom and noticed they have a really nice indoor space as well that was well distanced, not sure if it was the same in pre-covid times. Their menu is similar to a chipotle or moes. I opted for a burrito and got to choose what I wanted inside in the same manner as those fast food places. It came with a side of chips and salsa which seemed really small, especially in comparison to a typical Mexican restaurant. The burrito was good, but also similarly on the smaller side. I usually don't finish a burrito when I go to Chipotle, but I finished this one and all my chips. My husband was similarly still hungry after eating his meal. Also in terms of cost to food ratio it wasn't the best, definitely cost more than Chipotle, so combined with a smaller serving size it is not the best value in my opinion. Nice location and outdoor seating on Elmwood. Cool vibe inside as well. Would be willing to come back, but in the same sense with so many options on Elmwood I may be more inclined to try another place if in the area. read more

Quality local eats and excellent service! Finally tried Breezy, albeit takeout due to COVID, was very happy with how simple the online ordering was and the friendly service upon picking up. Ordered the Hex (basically a crunch wrap) with chicken which was flavourful and moist! Super delicious chipotle mayo drizzled on top too! I definitely enjoyed this but know that it's a little more expensive then average mexican style food, at about $14 ($18 by the time tax and tip + takeout container fee were added). Wish it did come with a few chips or something on the side but you can certainly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients so I am a-okay with that price. Super clean and simple menu and easy ordering process is a plus too, you are not overwhelmed with a crazy assortment of food options! Cute and eclectic!!! This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered a nacho appetizer to start but it came out after our food which was fine. I had the braised beef quesadillas with sour cream and breezy sauce. It was very good. The nachos were great but I had to ask for extra queso. He had the fried chicken tacos and they were amazing. This was a last minute stop after we heard The Beer Keep wasn't serving food on Tuesday night . We sat right at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly bartender . I love margaritas, so I ordered a passion fruit one (only sugar on the rim). My friend ordered a tasty mocktail . The food menu reminds me of Lloyd's Taco but tastier . I got a Quesarito (Cheesy Burrito) but substituted chicken instead of beef . This was accompanied by chips and salsa . My friend got a vegan Burrito with the same chips/salsa. We didn't get any of their cocktails, though they looked good. They have a wide variety of bottles and cans, and a good amount of beers on tap. We started with the trifecta, and we loved it! The chips, of course, were good but the guac, salsa, and queso didn't disappoint either. I got the hex, which I loved, and my boyfriend got the quesadilla. We really loved the food, but we were a little disappointed. Each entree was $14 and neither came with any sort of side. For that much money, you'd expect there to be rice and beans on the side. My friend and I were craving for some Mexican food, saw this along our walk on elmwood, and decided to give this place a try. In hindsight, we should've just kept walking that day. When we first came in, nobody greeted us. We were standing there for a good 10 mins until finally, someone attended to us. Normally, we would leave but we were starving after a long walk and it was a weekend, so I understand, but it is common courtesy to at least let us know how long it'll take. We get to our table and it took forever for the waiters to even take our order AND get the food. Now for the food, I ordered fish and chicken tacos and my friend ordered steak tacos. The fried fish was super thin and burnt. Their chicken was okay, a little dry but wasn't too bad. My friend did not enjoy her steak tacos. She thought it tasted bland. If she wasn't starving, she probably wouldn't have finished it. Whatever cheese I may not love from there in terms of nacho cheese the cheese on the disco fries was different and yeah send me more send me so much more I'm gonna go back there just for the disco fries and as usual the wonderful customer service and easy place to find a seat no matter what time of day you go! This is a cute spot, though not the best value for Tex-Mex food. The space is very inviting, with bright colors and a mix of seating options, such as bar seating, high-top tables, regular tables, and a couch/coffee table set up. The staff is pleasant. The menu is much more streamlined than the usual Tex Mex place, which I think is a good thing, and I love that tempeh is a vegetarian protein option, instead of just the standard beans. The prices for the entrees at Breezy Burrito are around $12 to 14, which is reasonable, but for the same amount of money at other Tex Mex restaurants, you get a lot more food. I got the Hex with tempeh, and liked it a lot, but it was just the wrap, without any sides like rice or chips. My husband's two fish tacos came with some chips and salsa, but a pretty modest portion. We were satisfied with the amount of food we got, but just be aware that this isn't one of those ginormous plate Tex Mex places. Husband really liked the fish tacos, but started not feeling well, and suspected it was an allergic reaction. He's allergic to nuts, but it's never been an issue at Mexican restaurants and there's no mention of nuts anywhere on Breezy Burrito's menu. Maybe it was a fluke, but if you have food allergies, too, double check. It would also be nice if they had a high chair on hand. I know that it's a bar and all, but several other bars on Elmwood that serve food, like Forty Thieves and Thin Man, have high chairs. Luckily the tables at Breezy Burrito are spaced far enough part that we were able to park my son's stroller at the table and have him sit there, but it wasn't ideal. If the menu offered some inexpensive and simple sides (like a cheese quesadilla), I would have gladly ordered him something, but didn't want to spend $13 on something that he might just chew a few pieces of. While not stellar for families with babies/small kids (so not for my current personal situation), or those seeking large food portions, Breezy Burrito could be a nice place if you're meeting up with friends for drinks and a little food. read more

We were in the area for a pop up concert and decided to give them a try. The braised beef burrito was really bland and disappointing. The chips were completely unsalted and even the salsa was somehow tasteless. Honestly the generic brands at wegmans are better. I brought an out of town guest here after telling them about the great food/drinks I had here previously. We were seated outside and waited about 10 minutes - our server never came. We went back to hostess to ask about it and our server finally came over and said she had no idea she even had our table. I think we were her only outside table which should've been a warning sign. We put our drink & chips order in. When they came (all yummy!) we said we needed a little more time for the food decision & she said she'd be back. She did not return for at least 15-20 minutes so I flagged another server down and asked if she could please let ours know that we wanted to order. We waited some more. Our server eventually came back to us to apologize and tell us she also had a giant table inside and she just put their order in. The kitchen was essentially "closed" to new orders for about 30 minutes. We were super hungry by that point and couldn't wait another 50 minutes (at least) for food. She offered us a shot and apologized. We paid our bill (I think they took off the drinks) and went next door to Jack Rabbit for a pretty yummy meal. My guest happens to be a server/bartender and she was pretty shocked that our server never came to us before putting her big table's order in to ask if we wanted to get ours in first.
