DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF CHOOSING AUDIO EXPRESS!!!!! I am writing this review to share my unfortunate experience with Audio Express that cost me thousands of unneeded dollars. I had a high end stereo system in my Tacoma that was to be transferred to my new Tundra. The bar was set high because I know what a high end stereo system should sound like and Audio Express did not have the "know how" to reproduce that high end sound in my Tundra. Through a series of very bad recommendations that caused 7-10 trips back to their shop for a patched and botched install, I wasted a lot of time and money to end up with my high end equipment sounding subpar. Audio Express was not capable of, or competent to, plan and execute the install. Later, recently, I also discovered the amateur sound deadening job they did that was not even close to what is required for high end equipment. Overall I spent approximately $8,700 and I already had top of the line 2-way components for the front stage (JL Audio ZR-650csi). Their focus on getting me to spend the most money possible has left me deeply regretting my decision to use their services. Any good car audio installer worth their salt will help the client not only choose the right equipment for their install but also help them understand the pitfalls they might fall into if the customer does not make the right choices with their system. In my case I was provided several bad recommendations in which Audio Express led me through the ringer. It was not until I sought advice from another installer that I was able to start getting on the right track with my stereo system. Recently I went back to Audio Express to try to give them an opportunity to make things right...they refused. In addition, they told I could sell the unneeded equipment on Offer Up. Wow...talk about zero accountability and workmanship. It does not matter that the equipment has been used for a few months because they knowingly sold it to me without care about its need and feasibility. I had to go to Kartunes and spend an additional $4,000 to fix the laundry list of problems due to the shoddy work and advice of Audio Express, please see the comparison pics below. Please don't make the same mistakes I did with using Audio Express. Keep in mind, they are going to try and respond this review with some nonsense response. They have completely lost sight of the customer and I recommend going to Kartunes where the customer comes first and the quality of the install is second to none! I took my new truck in to get my system updated. I bought new speakers for the front/back and a new stereo; but I also brought my amp/woofer from my previous truck along with me. I got everything that I needed in one stop and it sounds awesome!! Very professional and great customer service. So 2 weeks later, I took my husbands truck in to get his updated. I bought new speakers for the front/back and a new stereo as well. Once again, very professional, great customer service and it sounds awesome!! Then I took my old truck in to get the speakers updated before I gave it to my mom. When I got it home it was fine, but the next day the stereo would only work (with sound) when the driver's side door was open. I had to cancel my plans for the day to take the truck back in so that they could fix whatever was wrong with it. Not happy to have to go back and wait another 4-6 hours to get something fixed that should have been taken care of the first time. Overall, I am a very happy customer. All 3 of my vehicles were taken care of and will be happy for years to come. I only have one complaint...if something is going to take all day, maybe 2 days to finish, tell me upfront, don't lie to me. I am a busy person; I work a lot of overtime so my time is very valuable to me. Don't tell me it will be 4-6 hours if it is going to take all day and possibly run into the next. Just tell me the truth up front: it will take all day and you are better off just leaving the vehicle here. I just kept getting the same song and dance: 'it will only be a couple more hours, we are almost finished'. In the end, it was worth the wait as I know that it takes time to do things right, but I wish I was told the truth upfront how long it would actually take. In closing, if you are looking to get new speakers/stereo, they will do a great job but it will take them the whole day to do it, so be prepared for a long wait. read more

I purchased a receiver for my Jeep Wrangler four months ago from the audio express around cactus and Tatum. It sounded great ! Audio Express integrated it into my existing amplifier/sub woofer. Recently the system started crackling/popping. I went in with my receipt ready for some type of confrontation. The store manager not only remembered me, but had my vehicle ready for an inspection without even seeing a receipt. Unheard of! ( although I did save my receipt and provide it knowing that would help my cause) It was Saturday morning, I had no appointment, they were busy with scheduled installations, yet they proceeded to dig into the dash/electrical/audio system. They found some loose RCA connections under the rear seat... RCA connections that were part of my original equipment. They not only fixed it and reassembled it,( while I waited ) they would not except payment for troubleshooting/repair, even though the problem was with my original equipment/amplifier wiring! Are you kidding me?? I'll never go anywhere else, and would recommend to all!!! read more

We are repeat customers to Audio Express and they been awesome every time. We've purchased decks and door speakers for two of our trucks and a sub. Every time we go in, the guys are helpful and knowledgeable. Today they helped trouble shoot some speaker issues. Thinking the factory amp was blown, they ran some diagnostics and were able to find the problem and fix it at no cost, savings us hundreds. It's hard to find this kind of integrity and service in any industry these days. We are really happy with the quality of equipment we've purchased from them, the install, and the sound! I took my GT500 here to have a complete audio overhaul. The head unit, climate control, speakers, everything needed to be replaced. The installation was done within the day and the sound is impeccable. That is not the purpose of this review though, merely a testament to quality of products they carry. These JL audio speakers are amazing at all volumes. There was as issue with my climate module. They quickly went to another store and got it for me and swapped it out. The level of installation was truly professional. Everything was taken care of, hidden, and installed just as if it came from the factory. The best level of professionalism and craftsmanship at this location. I also have a Raptor I will be taking here for and upgrade and looking forward to the experience. Can't explain how helpful Tom was during the whole process of my purchase. I wanted my car completely done with new speakers and made rattle proof and Tom made that happen. I had no idea what I wanted I just knew that I wanted to make it sound the best as possible while still being able to use my trunk. Tom designed my whole car with kenwood's newest excelon speakers and custom made two 12" wheel well subwoofer boxes since I need to put in a stroller in my car for my baby. When it was completely myself and my daughter love the new sound. I was completely blown away how amazing my car sounds. It's all thanks to Tom. Going to be taking my new cars over to him to take care of any request and I'm also planning on taking my current car over to him to put some custom lighting. We decided to get a complete system for our Daughter for Christmas, neither of us were very knowledgeable in this area. Tom, our Saleman was amazing! From start to finish he was patient with us and extremely knowledgeable! He even came up with the idea for us to take most of the equipment home to wrap so it would still be a surprise. We took her car in a couple weeks after Christmas and again Tom was amazing! He even sat in the car with our Daughter and walked her through the entire system showing her how to use everything. You could just tell how pleased he was after he saw our Daughters reaction to hearing it....such a good Dude! We will definitely be back and will most certainly ask for Tom!! read more

I went in today Wednesday Oct 3 2018. With only 3 hours until closing. I said "I want my truck to absolutely KNOCK! ... I want an L7 or comparable." Manny put together a setup, let me know the price, (which was amazing for top of the line 12" subwoofer and a 3600 watt kicker amp) I agreed and came back 2.5 hours later with my 2001 s10 ready to beat down the block. Manny showed me how to adjust my stereo and made sure the install was to my liking before I left. Man we had to put the amp at 1/2 it's capabilities because the roof hasn't been dynomatted yet. I went in to Audion Express to buy my wife a new radio, had gone in with visions of what she wanted. While there my wife let me know that she actually wanted something else. Jose Moreno took care of us and got my wife what she wanted and showed her how to use everything afterwards. We did test calls to make sure she knew how to use her new blue tooth system and Jose made sure she was comfortable with how things were setup before she left. This was actually the second Kenwood I purchased at this Audio Express location. I was so impressed with the service from the first installation in my pickup a few months back that I went back for a second Kenwood in my RV. I was not disappointed. The top of the line Kenwood with GPS was installed with all details of a factory like upgrade. When I bought the RV it came with a basic radio and CD player. With this Kenwood I saved about $1000 buying a system I wanted instead of buying an RV with the upgraded system. read more

Two weeks ago I left a rather scathing review of the 75th Ave. location. I received a call soon after from Ian, who worked with me on replacing the incorrect subwoofer. I paid half the cost of the replacement. It wasn't the best solution but better than alternatives. The 75th Ave. location replaced it without installation charge. I was treated respectfully and the unit works fine. I must accept part of the fault as I failed to get a quote in writing. read more

Reggie from the Maryvale location was amazing. I accidentally washed the alarm remote for my Viper car system which prevented me from starting the vehicle. This led to me having to call a tow truck to get my vehicle to Audio Express. Reggie dropped what he was doing, went outside to my vehicle, deactivated the car alarm, thought me how to activate and deactivate the alarm and told me to have a great day. read more
