Hooray for healthy choices at the DuPage Children's Museum! The S.M.A.R.T of the S.M.A.R.T. Cafe…read moreofficially stands for Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Technology. For our familiy: Sandwich Magically Ate (eaten)! Rare! Tremendous! (OK, that was really bad but the food here is really good!). They have a Pick 3 Children's Meal option for $5, including drink. My little guy had a whole grilled cheese and finished it. Like finished a w-h-o-l-e honest-to-goodness sandwich in one setting on a lunch break in a fun, stimulating children's museum. As a parent of a 2 year old, this is miraculous. If you are a parent of a toddler, it's like hearing trumpets and hallelulahs. It's like finding out that you are in the audience of Oprah's Favorite Things when you are in the daily routine of getting stuck in the Oprah audience with the sad music playing for a downer episode on euthanasia or a special remote-guest-from-prison kind of crap. Are you with me? This was beyond a hit and completely unexpected! If he could talk, I believe he would say that it was his favorite lunch ever. Since he doesn't talk, we will let his actions of finishing a whole grilled cheese, a pouch of organic fruit snacks (50 cent upcharge), and an organic juice pouch speak for him. The museum did a great job with the menu for kids and adults, even solid veggie options. The adult sandwiches were tasty too and we finished them (no surprise there). Boar's Head turkey and cheese with Terra chips for 6.50. Yummy peach iced tea.

This is not a fancy spot. It is a cafe in a kids museum. Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprised with…read morethe friendly staff, decent foot (tasty....acutally), healthy options, and nice setting. Plus, a price point that is reasonable. Will return on a future visit.

Naperville location…read more Bottom Line: The food hall version of this concept is not the same experience as the stand alone location, though the food quality is consistent. I sought out this location since I definitely liked the Glenn Ellyn, stand alone location (See my review for that location). I did not realize it until I got there but this location is located in a food hall, a part of the H-Mart Asian grocery chain's delivery concept. The scaled down, food hall version, in line with, and surrounded by the sights, sounds, and aromas of a great but distracting variety of Asian food offerings, distracts and dilutes the impact of the distinctly different "Paris Baguette" concept (One of these things is not like the others). I will say that the food was good and I would say consistent with the stand-alone location; however, the highly eclectic mix of eateries, in an open food hall, obliterates the more authentic visual and environmental feel of a modern Parisian pâtisserie experience that is delivered by the stand alone store. In recently reviewing Paris Baguette's direct competitor and similar concept, basically across the street from this location, I opined that I would choose Paris Baguette if pressed to make a choice between the two; however, not In this particular instance/location. I get wanting to proliferate the name and concept in the market but, in my opinion, the food-hall version dilutes and detracts from the nice experience of the stand-alone store. If a stand-alone opens here or near, I would come back.

This was my first time trying a Paris Baguette. I had heard of their promo going on every week in…read moreJanuary that allowed you to get a $3 latte and so as I was leaving H-Mart on one of those bitterly cold days I stopped by this location located in the food court area to get something to keep me warm on the drive home. It was midday and I was feeling a little hungry too so I was glad to see that the pastry cases weren't completely wiped out and a couple of ham and cheese croissants looking just too good to pass up. Staff were all really nice and on top of everything. This is more of a grab and go location but you can definitely sit down and enjoy your drink or a meal at the shared food court seating if it's not too busy. The latte was a little too on the sweet side for me but the flavor was good. I would say the croissant was the highlight of this visit though. Perfectly crispy and flaky with a good amount of filling too.
