Egg Harbor in downtown Downers Grove is such a cute breakfast spot! They have a great variety of breakfast options and also accommodate people who are gluten-free with a full dedicated menu. I ordered a brown sugar latte and it was very good smooth, sweet, and flavorful. My scrambler came loaded with cheese, which I loved. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely a great place to start the morning!

Very accommodating breakfast and brunch stop in Downers. Some very nice breakfast combos including skillets, wraps, omelets pancakes. The gf menu is incredible with so much to choose from, like a gf cinnamon roll! So appreciated! A lot of seating but very popular!

I was looking for a dog friendly breakfast place on a Sunday morning. This Downer's Grove EHC showed up on the list so I called them first to make sure that they still do. So off we went to this EHC location. We were lucky (or early) enough to find a table outside. We were greeted by our server right away. We were given glasses of water on our table, plus a bowl for water for the dog. On this visit I tried: AZTEC OMELETTE- delicious LEMON POPPYSEED PANCAKE- I should have asked for the lemon icing on the side because it was too sweet for me. The pancake was dry but the strawberries were fresh. ULTIMATE SKILLET- heart and satisfying Overall, no complaints on the food and the service was friendly, attentive and efficient. I will definitely come back to this location, especially on a nice day to bring along the dog and sit outside ;)

I came in with no reservation on a Saturday morning and got seated surprisingly quickly! The staff were all nice and the restaurant itself is super cute. My favorite items were the eggs, potatoes, and house made jam with English muffin! Great spot in downtown downers!

Sept 2023 visit. Still one of my favorite breakfast places. Love the options. Today I ordered the Aztec Omelette and Hubbie ordered the Ultimate Skillet. Recommend either - delicious! Service was great! Had no complaints so upping my rating!

Got the ultimate skillet with eggs over easy and had the egg muffin side with side of jam. Very good portion size and the jam was delicious. Ordered the French toast to share with my husband, but they gave us the cinnamon roll French toast. It wasn't too bad, just reminds me of the cinnamon toast crunch cereal. Coffee with chocolate flavor was very delicious though. Had a nice hint of chocolate.

My first time in this area of Chicago burbs and was really happy with my delicious breakfast here. The Healthy Joe omelette was just what the Dr ordered. Delicious! Place is modern but with quaint touch and service was VG. Seriously cardiologist said go on a Mediterranean diet and I thought he mean gyros

I wouldn't say it was bad and I wouldn't say it was excellent. The food menu is fairly large and offers a lot of options including a separate gluten free menu just ask your server. Food was okay and for the price I would say that the portions were small. Our server brian however was great !

Swayed to try this place as it's not my usual breakfast/brunch place and was pleasantly surprised. The service was attentive and food was brought out quickly with a smile. The meal was tasty especially their jam with my English muffin and toast. The place is clean and the cozy.

I enjoyed the chicken sausage and goat cheese scrambler and a side of chorizo hash. Flavorful and tasty. They haven't perfected the potatoes for both, a bit on the wet side side for my taste. I like the farmhouse atmosphere. Service was friendly but if you're in a rush you should take your food to go.

You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

For drinks, we started with the Tangerine Dream, which reminded me of an orange creamsicle, and the Morning Meditation, which definitely had more earthy flavors. Both drinks were really pretty in color and nicely presented. For food, we ordered the Million Dollar Bacon--it's a very specific flavor, but not bad at all. The brown sugar sweetness with a bit of spice worked well together. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was really good; the buns were soft, the avocado was well-seasoned, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were seasoned nicely, and the onions added extra flavor. The Smoked Salmon Frittata was okay--not my favorite. The potatoes were great, but the salmon didn't really pair well with the eggs in my opinion. We also got the chocolate chip pancakes to go, and those were delicious later on--super big and very satisfying. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid spot with great drinks and some standout dishes.
