Came here around 11 on a Saturday with a party of 6 and we were seated after around 10 minutes. I got the veggie sandwich (love sprouts in a sandwich) and I loved the sweet potato chips. My husband said the breakfast burrito as fresh and filling. My older son enjoyed the chicken and waffles. My younger picky eater was able to get the pb&j off the kids menu and liked the chips. I always thought this was a great breakfast place but I had lunch here today and I really like the lunch menu. There are some unique sandwiches and the one I had was delicious. This restaurant is excellent! The food is always great as is the service. Today I had the sandwich combo and they really pack a lot of ingredients in the half sandwich. The tortilla soup is the best I have had anywhere. They also give you a to go cup of your coffee but filled with fresh coffee. Today our server was Annah and she was perfect. Pretty good! I like the name and theme. While I haven't had their freshly squeezed orange juice I have had their coffee with almond milk which was a winner. The service is no-nonsense but friendly and efficient and the menu is vast and good. Most recently I tried the hakunna frittata which came with lots of veggies and yummy goat cheese. We have been coming to the Citrus diner for a while now. We know we'll always get an affordable and tasty breakfast served by friendly people with a smile. However, I am most impressed by the cleanliness and the attention to detail here. You won't find dust on the lamps or lamp cables over the tables. The condiment trays are always full and consistently organized. This place really pays attention to the small things and this gives me the confidence that the kitchen here must be just as clean. My office used to be down the street so I have been here in person pre-covid and ordered via phone for pick up during COVID. (Went smoothly and was ready in 15 min) My favorite menu item has always been the chicken tortilla soup. I also enjoy their half sandwich, soup, and salad lunch special. Today was my 2nd visit for breakfast. On my first visit I ordered eggs whites /apple chicken links/potatoes/ Greek toast, coffee. I ordered the same today, except i ordered eggs over medium. The coffee here is quite good and even after 1pm I still got a fresh brew. The apple links are very tasty. I think the egg whites are fresh egg whites instead of carton variety..no weird taste. The greek toast was perfect. Toasty outside, soft inside. The apple chicken links are very tasty! The over medium eggs were under done...more like over easy. I think the eggs could be better in quality. They aren't bad but not as tasty as other places I go to. Service: Today i received very excellent service...restaurant wasnt real busy at 7:30a.m. the first visit service was fine but not as attentive as today. When we were looking for a place for Sunday breakfast we didn't have to look far since Citrus Diner has great reviews here on Yelp and now we know why! We walked in at about 8:30am and were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive and kind, she poured us coffee, brought waters for the table, and an orange juice we ordered all right away. The menu had numerous wonderful selections. If you can't find something here then you can't find it anywhere. They had breakfast sandwiches, steal cut oatmeal, steak and eggs (my husband recommends this selection), omelets, pancakes, french toast, and even lunch options! I ordered the Farmers omelet and it was delicious! I especially liked that my toast came with the butter actually melted and covered the entire piece of toast, none of that pad of butter sitting on a cold piece of toast nonsense. You just feel happy when you walk in because you're surrounded by a yellow, orange and green theme. How can you not feel happy with that color scheme?! Bf ordered the Lean Machine, and I ordered the Crabby Benny and substituted the avocado for spinach. Crabby Benny was absolutely delish... so much that it has warranted a 2nd, 3rd and 4th visit now! I generally order the orange juice also. Love the fact that it's fresh-squeezed! And take one of the colorful mints with you when you leave if you're a fan of soft mints like me. This diner used to be the Moon Dance Diner...about a year ago it closed for remodeling and re-emerged as The Citrus Diner. It is an excellent breakfast place...clean, new booths and tables, a very expansive menu, and excellent service. When we visited we had Plain Jane Pancakes (two nice big malty buttermilk pancakes that came out steaming) and the strawberry waffle (three nice little waffle boats filled with sliced strawberries). Both dishes were done to order and served hot and fresh. The coffee was especially good and free flowing. Since it is named The Citrus Diner you have to try the orange juice...it was very good and you won't be disappointed...you can even order it by the carafe for your whole table. I hadn't been here since it used to be Moondance, which was kinda average. Not the case with the Citrus establishment. Or "Citroso" as we call it from the funky signage font. But joke aside, Citrus has a wonderful menu and warm and bright environment. Their menu has both trendy and beloved flavor combos but with a cool twist that works. The Magilla Gorilla and Go Green French toasts are some of the BEST I have ever had! The fresh squeezed juice and flavorful soups are another special highlight. The lemon, lime, orange theme is cheerful. It was cool to feel like I was somewhere new and different even though I was in the same area I've been living in for 15 years. read more
