Wishing I had seen these reviews before hiring. Like everyone else has confirmed, JP does not know what he's doing and is aggressive and harassing when confronted for any of his poor work (see texts to my girlfriend). JP showed up to hang 2 chandeliers on a 20 ft ceiling. He couldn't do the job alone so I had to help him the whole time he was here, climbing up and down the ladder with him as well. After he left, I noticed 1 of the chandeliers was held up by the wire only, not the chain. He tried to convince us that was the correct way of doing it and the chain was backup.

TLDR: ATX Lighting wired an installation incorrectly and caused additional electrical issues and refused to fix the problem or issue a refund. I DO NOT recommend - stay away if you've experienced electrical issues from the recent ice storm. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We hired ATX Lighting to install a bathroom exhaust fan/light combo at a rental property owned by my mother-in-law. They didn't bother to give her an update or provide proof that the exhaust fan and light were working appropriately or even communicate to her that the installation was complete. Apparently installing an exhaust fan didn't include running the ductwork from the fan to the exhaust outlet in the roof - if we'd have known that, we would've hired a full-service company to install the exhaust fan and duct work. $300 to complete an exhaust fan/light installation + $350 for installing braces for the exhaust fan (literally just nailing in 2 boards into the existing ceiling joists - see pics). JP was super unhelpful and said that everything was working when they left (again they provided no proof or communication to my MIL that everything worked) but somehow was no longer working when I went to check. We had another electrician come to fix what ATX Lighting messed up (see my other reviews for a good electrician) and he found out that ATX Lighting had wired the installation wrong causing additional issues with other lighting in the bathroom and the breaker to continuously trip.

This was the "fix" extention cord they left in my yard expecting it to work. Open and exposed wires.

Hired for xmas light install. They failed on install and had to come back several times. I uploaded a photo of one of their "professional fixes" they were supposed to take down lights according to my HOA Jan 15th and also advertised 100% money back guarantee bit that doesn't apply as the owner JP said he was not in Austin and due to personal issues he had to shut down his business and wasn't responsible oe didn't care. I happened to be looking for an Appt for my nephew and saw him at a neighborhood Apartment Complex, so him telling me he wasn't in Austin was a total lie. I filed a Better Business Review complaint, have to hire and pay yet another company to take lights down. Don't use this company.

It's how rude they talk. But they are worse on the phone.

Beware. I'm a single mom and they think it's ok to treat me bad. They came to me and quoted me for 400 to do the job. Before installation was done bumped the price to 750 to finish. When I called complained they said their manager doesn't know what he is saying and he was out of his mind. I was scared to leave electrical outlets unfinished with the small child in the house and had to pay. Didn't validate their work and sent me $50 request on top to check. Communicating very aggressively. Want this kind of experience? Hire them. They do a bad business and mention God when they do it.

And lights change color as well

Don't look any further. Atx lighting is an excellent company. Clean responsive and professional. They were able hang both my chandeliers that are almost 30 feet high. They also touched up the paint around the rim. I highly recommend them. Will be using them again!

Loved that they showed up in a mask! Very friendly crew, professional and great job done! While covid has made it nerve wracking to hire the right crew: Justin, Josh, & James made our experience phenomenal. I highly recommend hiring this team for a full-service job or even a quick electrical repair - they can handle it! Thank you ATX Lighting for a great experience, we will be booking our future home remodel with this 5 star team!

What a GREAT experience with Luminary Lights Austin! They…read morewere such PROFESSIONALS. Jessica quickly responded to provide a quote and a timely appointment at what we considered a reasonable cost to install new low voltage tree lights. Most of all we valued their expertise to replace 20 year- old fixtures and correctly wire in the new replacements. The bulbs and wiring had been updated more than a year ago by a premier and well-advertised, glossy Austin landscape lighting company. To our dismay, we discovered THAT previous work (two visits) was a hodgepodge of spliced high voltage wires with wire-nuts and tape up in our trees... a fire just waiting to happen! Luminary Lights know their stuff and pride themselves in executing the job properly. No shortcuts! Special thanks to Lonnie for his careful and methodical installation and his endless patience as we fussed about the lighting direction. He absolutely captured the right approach to highlight the beauty of nearby landscaping. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Everything was cleaned up and ready for me to set up. He had to cut some drywall to run the cable, but did it low behind my softener so it's not even visible. I highly recommend Grayzer for charger installs. They've been focused on them for a while, and it shows.

I had one good experience with these guys when then installed a tesla charger at my old house and…read moreat terrible experience with them with they installed a tesla charger at my new house. The first time they did it they installed a 240 volt outlet in my garage and I plugged a tesla mobile connector into that, worked well. The next time they did it at the new house, I thought they would do the same thing but apparently they stopped installing the mobile connectors. Now they only install the wall connector which is a large sci-fi looking thing that is permanently affixed to the wall. It's also more expensive than the mobile connector. None of this was made clear to me when we started the project with Grayzer. They came to my house, got about 90% done with the job then saw the equipment I had and said "sorry we don't do those anymore". They explained the situation to me but since I didn't have the equipment they wanted they couldn't finish. They did however insist on being fully paid for the job. Stupidly, I agreed to pay them and they left saying "call us when you have the wall connector". That was a mistake. Never fully pay for the work until the job is fully done! So I bought one and scheduled a time to finish at which point they said they would need to charge another trip fee to come back out. I explained that it wasn't made clear to me that I didn't have the right equipment until the job was almost complete but they didn't care. They were insistent that I give them another trip fee before they would come back. Frankly they were pretty rude about it too. Like really rude. Whoever I was emailing was belligerent and completely unprofessional. It was extremely frustrating. I tried to explain that as the professionals in this situation they should be the ones checking that all the equipment is ready to go before the job starts. At the time I didn't know the difference between a mobile connector and a wall connector. I didn't even know that tesla had multiple options for wall chargers. I had what I used the first time so I figured it would work. It's not that the trip fee was so much money but after having to drag this out over two visits, spend another $150 to upgrade to a wall connector, a trip fee on top of all that was a bit much. In my opinion, a reasonable company would just accept responsibility and waive the second trip fee. Or at least offer to split it. But not these guys. They dug their trench and they weren't coming out. It was childish and stupid and I'm embarrassed for them. And to boot, the people they sent out to finish up the job were jerks. One of them was yelling and cussing at somebody on their phone like a crazy person in my garage. Honestly, these guys are like school on a Sunday -- no class. I guess this is what happens when you get to be a popular company. Customer service and basic decency goes out the window because what do you care, you have plenty of business. Right? Yeah right.
