I just called them to clean out my attic. The first thing they said to me was they can't guarantee their work. What? I need you to take out the insulation and vacuum the attic -- you can't guarantee you can vac the attic? Then I got yelled at to say you don't need to work with us -- lady, no kidding ... read more

Run away as fast as you can... I needed two attic ladders installed and received a quote. Attic Guys was unwilling to provide any potential installation dates until after I put down a +$1k deposit. After providing the deposit, we coordinated a date for installation of the first ladder; installer showed up 4+ hours late and didn't even have the correct ladder resulting in a wasted vacation day from work. We coordinated a new install date (another vacation day from work burned) and installer was late again - this time "only" by 2 hours. After completed installation of the first ladder, Attic Guys wouldn't credit the deposit for the first install and insisted that the deposit was for the special order second ladder so we paid the invoice for the first ladder install in full. AtticGuys is not responding to calls or texts for coordination of the 2nd ladder install (deposit placed 3+ months ago). I've made a dozen-plus attempts to coordinate and I've been ignored or blown off on every one. Steer clear and don't get ripped off! read more

You get what you pay for. Sloppy work. They rectified the situation but to call it a professional job is an exaggeration. I paid for a 3K job which was for disinfecting, cleaning, and rodent proofing our attic. Followed up on the "completed" work the day it was completed and it was maybe 20% done. Rat droppings remained, insulation can left in the attic, and no rodent proofing done. They came by the following day to fix my concerns. They did apologize after I complained. For a bad 3K job, I got 75 dollars off for their lackluster work and they waived the credit card fee. Look elsewhere if you want the job done right the first time. read more

From the first phone call, to estimate the Attic guys were courteous, professional and thorough. Once the crew (Lenell and David) got to our house to do the service they were careful with their dust by covering everything. They did a wonderful job vacuuming attic and replaced insulation. No mess was left behind. Definitely would recommend Attic guys! read more

I called for 3 bids, they quote me the price that I'm willing to handle based on the size of my house. Brian came and did the inspection and assessment. He was very straightforward, explained to me how the job would be done and closed the deal. They emailed the written agreement and set the date, it was pretty smooth. Their workers were organized and showed skills indicating they know their stuff!. Job was completed on 2nd day as promised. If you have blown- on insulation, have it removed, and these are the right guys to do it. They have excellent teamwork. They also made sure that my rat friend can't come back, but I have to be vigilant! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Attic Guys. Their communication was pretty good, pricing was great, availability great, and the actual removal/cleaning/decontamination was better than we could have expected. Our attic looked great, smelled even better and was the perfect condition to put the new insulation into. I would for sure call them again if we ever needed to repeat the service and will definitely recommend to anyone else who needs their attic tended to. (We opted to install the insulation ourselves but their pricing was better than the other quotes we got... by a lot!) read more

Scheduling was easy and the crew did a great job. Decontamination, cleaning and reinsulation was done well, and my place was left clean. Did get minor dry wall damage from a slipped foot, but my beams are small and sometimes crooked. I was promptly contacted to schedule a repair. read more

I would recommend these guys to anyone who wants attic insulation done. Alfredo quoted me a price over the phone and followed up with an inspection a few days later. The final price he quoted was the same as the original quote. They were able to do the work four days later, which I really appreciated. The workers showed up on time and completed the work in just few hours. They used plastic sheeting to protect my walls and carpet, so there was absolutely no mess left behind. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. Thank you Attic Guys! read more

As you can see, they responded to my original posting very quickly. We got it worked out, they got me an appointment and they just finished the work today. As most housing projects seem to go for me, there are always complications. This was no different. The workers who came out were professional, courteous, and went above and beyond. Issues came up that weren't their fault and they worked longer than anticipated to get the job done instead of leaving me hanging. I think the price was very reasonable, and the service is definitely worth what you pay for. Don't go to a cheaper place that you see on Yelp; use these guys - they won't cut corners and they'll get the job done read more

Good communication with this company from the start of the estimate process with Mike and throughout the job. Adrian and the crew worked hard and they were very thorough. They definitely left our attic cleaner, safer and more efficient with the installation of new insulation and a thermostat-controlled fan. Minus one star for the price, but you get what you pay for. Could have had the work done for alot less but probably not as good. Recommended. read more

Attic Guys - After removal of old insulation, roof debris, etc. - Pest Control Near Me - San Diego, California

Used Attic Guys to clean, seal openings, and put in new insulation in 2015 and was happy with result. Rats re-surfaced recently and nobody from Attic guys will respond to calls or emails in past 6 weeks about coming out to inspect and identify entry point(s) in need of resealing. Do not use them unless you are prepared to get no service once warranty is up. Moving on to new firm. read more

Alfredo and Jessie were incredibly professional and clean. We just bought a home that had some rodent issues in the attic. They spent pretty much the whole day (big attic) fixing and cleaning the situation very thoroughly. We were working from home due to COVID and they were flexible around our schedule/calls too. read more

After seeing someone fall through the attic while doing some electrical work in the attic I decided to hire out when it came to replacing my old insulation. Whatever was up there was there since the house was built, some 40 or 50 years ago. Time definitely tooks it's toll on my attic, especially since it's one of the most neglected areas of our house. There were five guys on the job and not one of them fell through or even put a crack in my ceiling for that matter, so I was happy about that. All the work was finished in a day, a really long day, but still one day. I officially nominate these guys for taking on one of the dirtiest jobs ever. Each crew member fully protected themselves from head to toe with a haz mat like suit and mask and gloves. After they emerge from the attic you'll see why. These guys aren't afraid to get their gloves dirty. It's exactly what my attic needed, a little TLC. They left it clean and insulated. Just what I needed, highly recommended. read more

Did not try to sell me on things I did not need, just responded to my requests with a fair price. Install was completed within a week of scheduling. Would definitely recommend this company to my friends for attic insulation, cleaning, and air ducting. read more

The request was to remove all attic insulation contaminated by rodent infestation, rodent proofing and disinfect. The first visit the crew was late and only did about 80% of the job. After a visual inspection I asked for a second pass to clean up the attic. There was several areas with rodent droppings and contaminated insulation. I had to schedule another day. In addition the attic opening was damaged on all four sides needing drywall repair. The vacuum hose was brought through the upstairs bathroom window and damage occurred to the entry door which was painted a few months ago. There were too many trash bags to take on the first visit. One technician came out the next day to collect all the trash bags. I'm at least happy the trash only stayed one day as it filled a great deal of space on the side of the house blocking the back yard entrance. The crew was also late on their second visit and did not remove insulation in the furthest part of the house. They removed it upon request and vacuumed. The disinfectant was only sprayed around the attic opening and not the entire attic. After a couple of days rodents could be heard in the late part of the day and fresh droppings appeared. The crew was no show on the third visit. They are supposed to re-inspect and perform rodent proofing again. Overall I'm not satisfied with the job. I chose Attic Guys because I thought they would be professional and precise. In my opinion the estimated time to perform the job was inaccurate. Two days are needed at a minimum. More careful inspection to properly rodent proof is key here as no one wants to re-do the job due to another rodent infestation. I would hope that Attic Guys can complete the job 100% in a timely manner including the drywall repair at the attic opening. I'd like to update this review once the job is 100% complete which I am anticipating they'll do. read more

I was looking into this company for an estimate, and always check Angies list and the BBB as a reference. This company lists both logos on their website, but are falsely advertising. I called Angies list after not finding them on the website, and the specialist said they are NOT a member. They are also not accredited with the BBB. Consumers check your references, the websites might look pretty with all the bells and whistles, but might not actually be holding true to what they're advertising. Update: I heard from the company, and they said they're listed under Anaheim as the city. They're still not registered under San Diego though. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. I hired the Attic Guys to get rid of attic rats and clean up under the insulation. They assured me that they would be able to block all of the entries and stop the rats. They offered a two-year warranty and stated that since they were driving from Anaheim, they wouldn't want to come back so of course they would stop the rats. They showed up to take out the attic insulation. They promptly placed their giant vacuum in the center of my beautiful grass in my front yard. This left a spot about two feet long and one foot wide of burned grass. As they were taking out the insulation and vacuuming the droppings, one of the guys (250lbs.) fell through my kitchen ceiling. He was OK but later had to lay on my garage floor while I got him ice packs because he overheated. They assured me that my ceiling would be fixed as good as new. Of course, I wasn't upset...accidents happen. It has been 3 weeks since they took out my insulation. I have spent many hours cleaning rat droppings from my house that fell out while they were "cleaning" the attic. It is May in LaQuinta and the temperature today is 109. The rest of the week will be 111. My air conditioning is now not working in the kitchen and living room. I'm not sure what happened up there but it was fine before they came. They have sent out two guys, each on a different day to check the rats to ensure they were gone and to fix the ceiling. Both were supposed to show up at 9:00-11:00 am. Both got here (on different days) at 2:30 pm. I had to ask them to leave at 8:30pm. The first guy worked most of the day on the kitchen ceiling. He didn't check the rats until I asked him to leave. He couldn't tell if the droppings were new or if the crew just didn't vacuum well. (Nice). He didn't fix the hole in the kitchen but he worked on it all day. The other guy "fixed" the hole with the exception of the texture. However, all along the edge there are holes in the drywall and the ceiling is now wavy with ridges - like a potato chip. He went into the attic and said they didn't even get out all of the insulation. In one hour he found 5 holes. No wonder I still have rats. That was a week ago. I have been calling the office and leaving messages for 5 days. Finally I reached the secretary who told me she just spoke to the owner and he is going to connect with the guys to figure out a solution to my problem. MY PROBLEM??? I would NEVER recommend this company. read more

I had service on 02/24/2017 to remove old blown-in cellulose insulation as well as the original batt insulation. The two-man crew was short-handed that day so the appointment took longer than planned as they had to drive the removed insulation to the landfill themselves. Still, they finished at a reasonable hour and were professional, neat and clean all the way. Couldn't tell they had been there due to the careful shielding they had constructed before the work. I'm very pleased and their price was less than 1/2 my first estimate from a competing firm. Good job, Attic Guys. read more

I thought this was a good company. They diagnosed my insulation issues back in summer of 2016, and I dropped considerable money having them do the work. Two years later I have problems, I called them four days in a row, and despite all the I'm-so-sorry-you-haven't-received-a-callback emoting on the phone, nobody ever called me back. Attic Guys clearly doesn't want my business and isn't interested in standing by their work. I wouldn't recommend them at all. read more

Last week I had Cliff, Chris, Yahya, Chris and Donald at my house cleaning out my attic. They were all very friendly and professional. Do not recommend, Unprofessional customer service, Requested a quote for removal of insulation in attic and reinsulate and also attic fans. Attic Guys made an appointment between 1000-1200, Attic guys no showed their appointment and were not professional enough to give a courtesy call to inform they could not make the appointment or be late. Would not consider giving them my business if they can not even make the initial appointment, unsatisfactory and bad customer service read more

It's been 2.5 years since Attic Guys came out and cleaned, with hepa filter vacuums, my attic which had a serious amount of rat feces. Unfortunately, my wife has been experiencing a consistent rash & my head throbs while in bed, just beneath the attic ceiling. I fear the recent humidity and heat is releasing the rodent urine from the attic into the air causing our health problems - I should've removed the ceiling drywall too. Anyway, I just installed a roof fan to remove the bad air in the attic and noticed the Attic Guys installed a very thick insulation too. I recall they also seal their path to the attic off with plastic. It looked like we got zero exposure to insulation fibers during their work. I'm impressed with the thoroughness of their work in a job few would do -- including me. read more

We just moved into a house that had a major mouse problem in the attic. We had Yannick, Kyle, and Adrian come out to clean up what remained of the mouse situation and they did a fantastic job. We hired Attic Guys to clean our attic and replace all the insulation after having a rat infestation. We have a one year old and two dogs, so convenience was top priority for me in hiring someone. Scheduling was easy, and they sent someone out to do an inspection and give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail all of our options for insulation and also recommended installing an attic fan (which we did). He explained the differences in insulation options, which really helped us to make an informed decision. The crew that came out to do the work were very courteous and professional. They ripped out the old insulation, cleaned and sanitized, installed the new stuff, and installed the attic fan in a day and a half. The sanitizer they used smelled nice (baby powder comes to mind), but gave my husband headaches for a couple of days (he is sensitive to fragrances). I didn't shop around before hiring these guys, so I can't compare their prices to anyone else's. It seemed expensive to me, but my husband wasn't surprised, so it was probably reasonable for the work done. Overall, I found the experience to be relatively stress-free considering juggling the baby and the dogs who hate strange people in their house, and I am very happy with the work completed. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking to get their attic cleaned and insulated. read more

This company, unfortunately, once they do the work they will never respond to your calls. They broke the doorbell wire in the attic. I have left 3 messages for Brian (supervisor) and never heard back from him. Beth the operator was so rude to me on the phone because I did not call immediately to let them know. I also left a message to Brian's manager Lou and John and never heard back. Madison on the phone was very short with me while taking the call. Be very careful dealing with this company. Once you pay, you will never hear from them and they will never follow up as they promise. Very sad because we paid A LOT of money to them. I hired the Attic Guys to take out blown in insulation, disinfect and rodent proof our attic. Very reasonably priced. The crew, led by Linell, was super professional and pleasant to deal with, taped and sealed our bedrooms really well, and were really sweet to my dog. They we were wonderful to work with. The other company attempted to sell me saying they do this and that better but their price was ridiculous. I'd def. recommend them! read more

I had a very positive experience with Attic Guys. I got a fast response to my request for a quote. Their quote was reasonable, much less than a competing bid. Hello and please forgive my late response for the positive feed back and review for your awesome crew. We had the best service experience with Lenell Leaderl, Heart jones, & Alex Nunez. They were the best and very professional. The work they did was hard and difficult for any person, however, they worked diligently and with the best work ethics that I have seen in a long time. I would rate your company with this crew from a 1-to 10 scale an 11 !! Thank you. We will surely recommend your company to our friends, family, and neighbors. Best regards, customers forever. We had a mouse problem too! My wife found these guys on Yelp after doing LOTS of research on how best to clean up our attic. We had Attic Guys remove the old insulation, heppa vac & clean up all the mouse "stuff", plug any holes the mice were getting in with special foam, spray some special "mouse be gone" formula, install an attic fan & all new ducting to get the HVAC working more efficiently. My attic is 1,500 sq. ft., and a tight fit, but the crew worked for 10 hours until the job was done. What I really liked was they cared about my house. They bagged everything coming out of the attic so no dust or weird, nasty particles messed up my house. Before they did that they lined the entire hallway, floor to ceiling, w/ plastic. Living Room & Kitchen too!! It looked like a clean zone from a movie. Remember ET?? I spent a lot of money with these guys and am very happy I did because having mice getting into your attic is NASTY. We feel so much better now that it is clean and working efficiently. They also have a 2 year warranty and stand behind their work. A shout out to the crew as well!!Need this kind of specialty work done, call Mike Priebe at 661-609-7000 and he will come give you a free estimate. Trust me.....I'm a Realtor. read more

I wish there were a way to review without giving a star rating, because I don't really know if these guys are any good or not. Why? I had set up a time for them to come out to look at my attic and give me an estimate. Unfortunately, they never showed up to provide the estimate. read more

We had our attic cleaned by Adrian and his crews last Saturday and were completely satisfied with their work. They arrived at 10:30 in the morning and finished at about 4:00 p.m. They did a great job of prepping the area and worked very hard under brutal weather conditions (it was over 92 degrees outside in Escondido that day...I can only imagine what it was like in the attic wearing haz mat suits) yet still remained very pleasant and professional. I was impressed with the care they took with everything they did, including checking the driveway at the end of the day to make sure they didn't leave any debris behind. As others have said, they are on the higher end cost-wise, but you do get what you pay for. I definitely recommend them without hesitation. read more

Thank you so much for your help! Jesse was amazing. He evaluated my attic, said it was in great condition, checked under the house, made some recommendations to have a pest control company come out to seal up some open spaces, told me the smell was actually coming from an opening in the floor under the furnace that vented down under the house. Then he volunteered to go back up int the attic and clear out my vents that run all along the edges of my room for free. Great service and attitude even though you guys were not going to make any money from the visit. read more

We recently had a new roof installed on our 1972 University City home in San Diego by a reputable company. What was left after the roofers were done was a tremendous amount of debris and a shockingly large amount of rodent droppings that had fallen onto our 2,300 square foot attic. Michael, the inspector of The Attic Guys office located in Rancho Penasquitos was very prompt when providing us with an estimate for the job (phone 866 300-3258) and was readily available by phone to answer questions prior to the installation. The Attic Guys: Ezel (he was the crew lead), Max, Phil, Donta and Ulysses removed a pick- up truck full of 4' high trash bags filled with debris from our attic! They took out the original 1970's insulation and then thoroughly vacuumed our attic. After all of that work, they installed rolls of thick, new insulation. This entire process was accomplished in one 7 1/2 hour work day! The work that the men did was very thorough and was accomplished in a timely manner. We are very pleased with The Attic Guys work. Thank you! read more

We hired Attic Guys to blow cellulose insulation into our attic. Beyond the actual project, I am giving them 5 stars due to the consistently polite, friendly, and professional service we received both on the phone and in-person at our home. First, Mike visited our home and did a thorough job with the consultation. He answered all of our questions and was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I met with 3 companies, and chose Attic Guys because we really like Mike and their price seemed reasonable. Next, we had to reschedule twice due to having other work done on the house, and the office staff was always accommodating and friendly, which I really appreciate, particularly Therese, with whom I spoke several times, but all of the ladies on the phone were super nice and helpful in accommodating our needs. For the actual work, Lenell and his team did a great job, working very hard and always respectful of our home, yet friendly and professional. After the job, we noticed that our bathroom fan was blocked by something, so I called Mike, who was super-responsive and they sent Hank out a day later, and he found and resolved the problem--all in a friendly, efficient team effort, which we really appreciate. Our experience with Attic Guys is that they are a solid, customer-focused company that is staffed by friendly, competent people, and we absolutely recommend them. And by the way, we do notice a significant positive difference in our home's temperature due to the insulation, which was the reason we had the work done. read more
