We had a large and atypical project - our new construction house required Rockwool mineral wool batt insulation installed below the roof deck and inside all exterior/interior walls. I would caution others before hiring this company. The quality of the vapor barrier installation in the crawlspace at my home in central San Diego Jun 2025 was very poor. The crew worked unsupervised and failed to install the barrier correctly--leaving gaps, exposed ground areas, and placing the new material over debris and old construction waste instead of clearing it out first. Two highly reputable, independent inspectors later confirmed that the vapor barrier was not properly sealed along the crawlspace perimeter, leaving the area vulnerable to excess moisture and potential mold growth. The lack of proper installation and oversight completely undermined the purpose of the project. After requesting twice during the final phone call with the company owners not to be contacted any further, they violated my request and sent harassing text messages. read more

We had been hearing a lot of rodent activity in the attic and walls of our old home for a while and finally called to get several estimates. Other companies were overpriced and pushy which was a turnoff. I filled out an online request and received a call from John very soon after. During the initial consultation it was clear that John knew the industry well and sales tactics that other companies used. He was able to put my mind at ease and the sense that his guys would get the job done right. He explained clearly that they wouldn't reinstall the insulation until the proofing was effective. The house is old and had a lot of additions made at different times so I knew this job would be a challenge. The quote was appropriate for the job so I signed on the dotted line. The clean up team that was lead by Brian, was on time and professional. They set up plastic barriers to ensure the the areas in the path of the insulation removal would not be contaminated. They sealed obvious entry points and I was shown photos of before and after. We did have a few rounds of proofing led by Eddie and Alberto. There were gaps under the roof and at the corners of the house. Entry points that were so small you wouldn't think could be. As promised, the re-install waited until the proofing was effective. The re-install, which was done by Jesus, Brian, and Neo, was done with the plastic barriers and they were able to complete the job ahead of schedule without impacting the quality. They also helped me secure some boards that were loose. Overall, I am very happy with the security and safety that I can provide for my family and I owe it all to Advanced Insulation Systems. We have a home that has a basement. It has three opening with about 3100 sq ft of storage. During the 23 years we have lived here it became an area filled with everything that we brought from our prior house and a dumping ground for anything else. It also became to home to rats, rodents, urine, feces and chewed up belongings. It became obvious that this was a real hazard. Trying to find a company that could perform all the services that would be needed was difficult until I contacted Advanced Insulation System. There are not enough superlatives to describe this company. Everyone I have had contact with is professional, personable and hard working. First they had to empty the contents of the basement, which was an enormous job. I will show photos. Once emptied, the hazardous things, rats, rodents, feces, urine, chewed up belongings were removed. All the areas were sanitized and sealed against any intrusion by creatures. Heavy insulation plastics were used on the foundation and floors and insulation was blown in to seal the entire basement. They assigned workers to assist me in sorting out the contents of the basement. The things that I wanted to keep were sorted and placed in the basement, charity items were separated and they loaded up anything that was not salvageable in their big truck and took it to the dump. It seemed overwhelming until the fellows, who are very organized, helped me make decisions about what to keep, give to charity and throw away. This took many days and the crew were spectacular. They left everything clean and organized. I really appreciate the dedication and expertise they showed in dealing with this unhealthy and messy condition. Matt and his crew turned a four day job into a two. His crew is fast, professional, and great at their job. John was fast to reach out when I requested a quote. During the initial in person quote with Matt, he didn't upsell and only focused on what we needed to address our issues. He offered very fair/great rates for the work. They did a fantastic job cleaning out our 65 year old attic full of blown fiberglass insulation from the 70's; it was pretty close to spotless when I popped my head up to look for myself. They demolished a wall in the garage and were super cautious working around the water heater heater, 65 year old water pipes and cast iron pipes. They finished today installing batting in the garage walls, sanitizing, rodent proofing, and putting batting in the attic as well. I'm really impressed with the quality grade insulation they used for batting in the garage and attic. His crew has a great attitude and were flexible working around our needs (they tidied up/rolled back paper in the house so our indoor pets could take a break from being kept away while they went to lunch). They worked around our clutter in the garage. I can tell that they have pride in their work as well. I'm really impressed the PPE they use for this work; I work in a industry that involves fiberglass and particulates and know how important it is to wear respirators and Tyvek suits with this line of work. NEW John gave incredibly fast response to my phone text inquiry about solutions for original fiberglass garage ceiling panels literally falling from above after 4O+ years. My contractor renovating the unit tried restapling them but the backing paper so damn old they just rip. John had a proven solution to recover all the old insulation with a "scrim system" that literally is like an exterior foil wrap over the entire garage ceiling.... securing my original ( and still effective) fiberglass in place for a reasonable price !! John and AISPDC were contracted to insulate a crawlspace above our bedroom to deal with loud AC units on the rooftop. They installed 2 layers of Denim Insulation above our ceiling. The job was a little more challenging as the beams holding up the ceiling would not support body weight - so they had to punch 2 holes through my sheetrock and install the insulation that way. 2 full days were scheduled - but the primary job of insulation was completed in 1 day. It took 2 days to patch and texture/paint the drywall they had removed to gain entrance into the crawl space... but days 2 and 3 were only a couple total hours. By the middle of day 3 - you couldn't notice they were ever there. Some follow up points: 1) John and his crew are the very rare exception to your typical contractor whereas they were extremely careful protecting my home/walkways and the room they were working in. They spent a lot of time putting down protective barriers anywhere they walked or worked. 2) When they were done painting the ceiling... the room was ready to move back in - outside just some normal vacuuming and dusting. 3) John and his team really know what they are doing - again - rare in that I trusted them to do the right thing the correct way.
