I would caution others before hiring this company. The quality of the vapor barrier installation in the crawlspace at my home in central San Diego Jun 2025 was very poor. The crew worked unsupervised and failed to install the barrier correctly--leaving gaps, exposed ground areas, and placing the new material over debris and old construction waste instead of clearing it out first. Two highly reputable, independent inspectors later confirmed that the vapor barrier was not properly sealed along the crawlspace perimeter, leaving the area vulnerable to excess moisture and potential mold growth. The lack of proper installation and oversight completely undermined the purpose of the project. After requesting twice during the final phone call with the company owners not to be contacted any further, they violated my request and sent harassing text messages. read more

We had been hearing a lot of rodent activity in the attic and walls of our old home for a while and finally called to get several estimates. Other companies were overpriced and pushy which was a turnoff. I filled out an online request and received a call from John very soon after. During the initial consultation it was clear that John knew the industry well and sales tactics that other companies used. He was able to put my mind at ease and the sense that his guys would get the job done right. He explained clearly that they wouldn't reinstall the insulation until the proofing was effective. The house is old and had a lot of additions made at different times so I knew this job would be a challenge. The quote was appropriate for the job so I signed on the dotted line. The clean up team that was lead by Brian, was on time and professional. They set up plastic barriers to ensure the the areas in the path of the insulation removal would not be contaminated. They sealed obvious entry points and I was shown photos of before and after. We did have a few rounds of proofing led by Eddie and Alberto. There were gaps under the roof and at the corners of the house. Entry points that were so small you wouldn't think could be. As promised, the re-install waited until the proofing was effective. The re-install, which was done by Jesus, Brian, and Neo, was done with the plastic barriers and they were able to complete the job ahead of schedule without impacting the quality. They also helped me secure some boards that were loose. Overall, I am very happy with the security and safety that I can provide for my family and I owe it all to Advanced Insulation Systems. NEW John gave incredibly fast response to my phone text inquiry about solutions for original fiberglass garage ceiling panels literally falling from above after 4O+ years. My contractor renovating the unit tried restapling them but the backing paper so damn old they just rip. John had a proven solution to recover all the old insulation with a "scrim system" that literally is like an exterior foil wrap over the entire garage ceiling.... securing my original ( and still effective) fiberglass in place for a reasonable price !! John and AISPDC were contracted to insulate a crawlspace above our bedroom to deal with loud AC units on the rooftop. They installed 2 layers of Denim Insulation above our ceiling. The job was a little more challenging as the beams holding up the ceiling would not support body weight - so they had to punch 2 holes through my sheetrock and install the insulation that way. 2 full days were scheduled - but the primary job of insulation was completed in 1 day. It took 2 days to patch and texture/paint the drywall they had removed to gain entrance into the crawl space... but days 2 and 3 were only a couple total hours. By the middle of day 3 - you couldn't notice they were ever there. Some follow up points: 1) John and his crew are the very rare exception to your typical contractor whereas they were extremely careful protecting my home/walkways and the room they were working in. They spent a lot of time putting down protective barriers anywhere they walked or worked. 2) When they were done painting the ceiling... the room was ready to move back in - outside just some normal vacuuming and dusting. 3) John and his team really know what they are doing - again - rare in that I trusted them to do the right thing the correct way. I called Advanced Insulation for a free consultation and true to their word, it was at no charge! As it turned out, my home does not appear to have a moisture problem. John did a very good water/moisture check around the areas of concern. A week ago I called Advanced Insulation. I had a problem with dirt blowing into my electrical outlets. John came the next day, right on time. He inspected the crawl space in my unit, and took photos.
