Fidel is such an outstanding young man, that we cancelled the other two companies we had scheduled for quotes. Never have we done that, but Fidel made that much of a first impression. Thankfully, so did Tony and the crew! Our home is small and so is the cramped attic space. Nobody likes to go up there. Attic Heroes removed decades of old nasty fiberglass insulation and installed new blown in fiberglass in one day. Attic Heroes is a true dream team. He even took the initiative to repair a vent that had been left broken and unattached by a previous company (before we had even committed to moving forward!) On the day of service, Dominic called ahead with an estimated time of arrival, which was greatly appreciated. Tyler, Patrick and Mike arrived right on time and immediately began preparing the space with floor protection and plastic sheeting to contain any dust or debris. As someone who works from home, I also appreciated how quiet they were throughout the process. They provided progress updates with photos along the way, and the results were impressive--everything looked clean and well-finished. Tyler also shared images showing that they had corrected and properly sealed ductwork that had previously been patched with duct tape by another company. I was planning on painting my house so figured it would be good to insulate the walls from the…read moreoutside before getting them fully painted. After emailing with them I was assured (more like mislead) that the patches done on the exterior walls would be very hard to see and I would be able to just paint them without having to re-patch even though their contract says they just do "rough patches" (email thread image attached). As you can see from the images, the patches were very poorly done and you could easily see the spot where it was patches (raised with a dimple in the middle), which lead me to require having my painters re-do the patches (at my own expense). J & L originally apologized when I told them about the miscommunication and showed them the emails, then they forgot to send me an invoice. A couple months later they re-sent the invoice and when I reminded them about the situation, they claimed 0 responsibility and completely denied any wrong-doing. ( I attached their response email as well) ***** If you feel comfortable working with a company that will throw you under the bus instead of admitting a mistake, then this is the company for you! ***** tl;dr Their contract explicitly states that their patches will be bad and you will need to have them redone, then when I asked about that part of the contract they explicitly told me the patches would not be visible. Brody was flexible with my limited availability, arrived on time, communicated clearly, and completed the entire job on my 1,300 sq ft home in just four hours. He and his apprentice Luke worked efficiently and quietly, protected the work areas, and left everything spotless. Brody also used a thermal imaging camera to confirm each wall cavity was properly filled, which gave me a lot of confidence in the workmanship. The results exceeded my expectations. The patched holes are barely noticeable--I was prepared for my walls to look like a cheese board, but they look great. Brody was honest, fairly priced, and delivered excellent service from start to finish. The insulation product itself impressed me as well. As a façade engineer, I understand the value of insulation, but I didn't expect to feel such a dramatic difference so quickly. Within hours, the heat inside my 1945 home dropped noticeably, making it far more comfortable during peak sun.
