Joey and I stopped by Atomic Motors for a tour, and Todd absolutely made the visit unforgettable. He's one of those guides who clearly loves what he does--knowledgeable, welcoming, and full of great stories about the cars and the history behind them. Their gift shop was a fun surprise too. It's packed with unique automotive merch, vintage‑style items, and plenty of things you won't find anywhere else. Definitely worth browsing before you leave. The showroom itself is impressive. Not only is it filled with beautifully restored classics, but it also doubles as an event space complete with a stage and dance floor. It's the kind of place that instantly feels like a great venue for parties, shows, or community gatherings. They've also got an event coming up on January 11, 2016, called Swap and Shop, with activities happening both inside and outside--looks like it'll be a great time if you're into cars, music, or just a lively atmosphere. Despite spending over $12,000 with these clowns, nothing they did to my was of any value, other than some piece of equipment they called a fuel injector (it's not) which they replaced my classic carburetors with. Whatever it is, it does work and the carburetors no longer prevent the car from starting. Other than that, everything else they did was worthless, doesn't work, is sub-par and I'm still embarrassed over the amount of money they sucked out of my bank account. After searching for someplace to rebuild or replace the engine in my 1977 c20 silverado. I told them i had 8k to rebuild. At first they tried to sell me a new engine without looking at mine to which i declined. I told them i just wanted my block rebuilt. He pushed me into a rebuild with the guise of they dont just repair blocks. They ran my bill up to $20K and the work is not complete. After they over drafted my credit card and dented my hood without saying anything, i still need to have my carburetor set, get a cap for my radiator resivour, fix my previously working horn and probably much more. Post review I received a voice message from Atomic stating it would be easier for me if I removed my review. My reviews is accurate. In October I bought a 1967 Mustang Convertible. It looks beautiful, & I paid TOP DOLLAR for it. With that, I assumed Atomic did a top notch job restoring it. In their remarks, they say everything is either inspected or replaced. Yet, I have had NUMEROUS issues. Here's a list of items: Brake Booster (within 10 miles of driving the car) not stopping correctly, locked up, & hissed every time I pressed the pedal. Paid close to $4k in additional repairs to have them bleed the brakes, post self-booster replacement, and to repair a "brake light dash" issue. The brake sensor switch wasn't even connected when I bought it. I pressed the horn, it blew for a second, then nothing. Went back out later and the steering column was hot, because the horn had shorted and started heating up. Glad i caught it. Additionally, while trouble shooting on 'why the lights and some of the cluster panel gauges' weren't working, I found a fuse that was overheating, which would have melted the fuse panel, if not caught on fire. I replaced with correct fuse. The turn signals don't work correctly...they don't auto shutoff, the mechanism is broken, been this way since i bought it. Convertible top didn't retract/extend correctly, leaking fluid inside the cabin (they fixed this one).Thermostat housing leaked (they fixed this one). Speedo leaked trans fluid (they fixed it). However, yesterday, I noticed a puddle of trans fluid underneath it. I put it on my lift, and you could see the pan gasket was torn, with a piece hanging out. I fixed this with a new pan and gasket, WHILE I was also fixing the fuel sending unit that stopped working. Other small things, installed radio didn't work, rotors were not turned and are grooved, emergency brake doesn't work, back seat belts were not replaced and the nasty old belts were stuffed under the seat, trunk was misaligned and you had to slam it to shut it, gas cap broke. The driver side window and back seat window are not aligned, There's a one inch gap where the two windows meet, from mid to top, widening as you go up. How did they not see this? Its obvious and looks horrible. I blame myself on this one because i bought the car based on the top and windows being down. But still, the issue should not exist. AND the kicker, which really pushed me over the edge today......while filling up the fuel tank, after replacing the sending unit and changing the trans pan/gasket, the driver side interior door handle broke. Something inside the door broke off. So today, I get to spend my time figuring out how to remove the trim without damaging it, and then troubleshoot what broke, and fix it. Awesome. The best part, I was planning on registering the car for a show on the strip this month, which is sponsored by Atomic. I guess I'm not doing that anymore. I'm done with them. If they want to sell cars above value, then the car should be 110% solid. Since buying the car, I bought a Cobra Kit, and another 1966 Mustang. I really wanted to buy a DeLorean they had instead, but no way did I trust that I would receive a non-problematic car. I made a mistake buying from them, but I won't do it again. Also, I have no desire to use their service, where I pay an exorbitant amount to fix the items that should not be broken, yet they are because of their sub-par service. They are charging service prices that do not reflect the expected outcome. Plus, Id always be waiting for their repairs to fail. I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that they have such a great showroom and setup, but are ruining it by providing subpar repairs and inspection of their work. I bought a awesome 66 charger from these good folks 2018 and recently needed some cash for a house purchase. I emailed cathryn Saturday night and bill called me Sunday morning. He gave me the exact same amount as I bought it for and money was in the bank Monday afternoon and he got on a plane Tuesday grabbed the car and drove back to Henderson same day 600miles!!! At the suggestion of a friend I took my newly purchase classic car to Atomic Motors. I requested that they check the suspention system which they did. They determined that the car needed shocks. $4,500 later i had new shocks. You would think that the ride would be smooth much like a cadillac. The car rides like a dump truck on a pot holed dirt road. Even crossing over Bhots dots to change lanes will rattle your bones. Then thay said that the control arms need new bushings. The bushings cost $56.96 for two. I looked on the internet for control arms for my car. i found, upper and lower control arms for $300 for the pair that come complete with bushings installed. They charged me $5,350 for the installation. $2,731 of that was for parts. They said the the upper quarter panels and the trunk lid needed to be painted. They Charged me $3,400 to repaint those surfaces, it came complete with orange peel. i picked the car up on a weekday afternoon. Driving home the car stalled, it appeared that there was no fuel getting to the engine. This happened when there was increased demand on the engine to go up hill. I had the car towed back to Atomic. They said it was a vapor lock that caused the problem and could also be due to a faulty fuel pump. They installed a steel plate under the carburator claiming that it would stop any future vapor lock and they replace the fuel pump. They told me that they also relocated the fuel pump. That was a lie, the pump was mounted in the exact same place as before. Total charge $1,250. The plate cost $32 they charged me $114 the pump cost $99 they charged me $155 the rest was labor. I picked the car up the following afternoon. Attempted to drive home, once again at about the same place on the highway the car stalled due to lack of fuel to the engine. Exact same problem. I had the car towed back to Atomic. They then tried to tell me it was the sending unit in the gas tank that was causing it at which point i told them not to do anything to the car and had it towed to my house. These people are iiars and thieves don't ever take your car in there for maintenance. read more

My friend took his Willy's jeep motor to them to rebuild the 4 cylinder flat head, and they charged him an outrageous amount for machine work and assembly. But that is not the topper here, he brought it to them to set the timing because they said they had the equipment to do a 24 volt system, they lied and then did several other tests (ie; compression test, fuel delivery) that weren't necessary and then determined the timing was off (DUH!), finally charging him $550 + ($175 an hour labor), this company is a ripoff IMO. My husband took his truck here after his first attempt at restoration was a disaster. A year later and 10s of thousands of dollars plus missing parts they claim he never dropped off though we gave the invoices and they aren't in our house, we have a half ass looking truck. The door doesn't even close. Biggest mistake of our lives was trying to fix up this truck. They even charged $380 to "detail" new parts 6 months before we picked it up. There is packaging glue on some of the parts so much for a detail. Go somewhere they can be honest about the costs and work is completed. read more

I bought a Coronet from them, i was told it only had 200 miles on complete rebuild and new wiring. The wiring is a mess dash light dont work and the engine has a bad cam and a crack in the block. I only drove the car twice around the neighborhood. read more

This Review if for the machine shop. I ran into some problems working on my 90s Honda suspension. I could not get the ball joint to release, so I took it to my local shop. They said they didn't want to risk damaging the spindle but suggested I take it to Atomic since they have a full machine shop and also could fix it if it broke during extraction. I drove across the valley and Brandon was ready and willing to help with my ball joint issue. He took it back to the shop and got someone started on the work and returned saying it should take about 1/2 hours worth of work to get this done. Awesome! I took the time to look around their showroom and saw some nice classic motorcycles and classic cars. Saw a similar Mark V Lincoln my family had back in the days and a few other nice clean rides. The attendant in the showroom was very friendly and helpful. After that back to the machine shop and a few mins later Brandon returned with the ball joint ready to go. Some shops won't take little jobs like this or won't work on small projects without a minimum of 2 hours or want to supply their own parts. These guys just felt like good people willing to help anyone out, even if it wasn't their usual classic muscle, hot rod, trucks or custom cars but a worn daily driver. This is the worst place to take your car to get a motor rebuilt or transmission they charged me over 6K to rebuild a straight six in a 60 Dodge Seneca they not only did not rebuild the motor but they charged me full price did not rebuild my carburetor even though I asked them and the compression is 100 175 50 50 50 50 they also ripped off a friend of mine that wanted a transmission rebuilt but instead they rebuilt the motor how could you mess up something like that in a Cadillac 100% worst company I have ever done business with read more

Well, I have a lot to say about this company first off let me start off by saying that my nephew worked here for almost a year he worked holidays for straight day. He work weekends with straight pay, which I totally understand. It happens sometimes, but these guys are crooks took advantage of a young man, because all he wanted to do was work on cars and it's sad to say That this boy looked up to this gentleman, and all they did was abuse him up until recently. The young man quit and got a job at the MGM. The owner of atomic motors retracted this young man's last two paychecks which put him in the negative. I recently purchased a vehicle from atomic motors and had it shipped to me based on their testament that the vehicle ran very well and the owner himself claiming it needed nothing. When the vehicle was delivered the gas tank was virtually empty. The vehicle was also very difficult to start- upon examination I found an incorrect rotor, worn out distributor cap, a missing distributor ground wire and no hold down screws. The turn signals also didn't work. Normally I would have not relied on the seller's word and inspected the vehicle myself, but with covid restrictions I trusted these ppl. I am fixing the vehicle and will probably find more problems as I dig further but hope that this review will help ppl in their decision making process. read more

Paid a premium price for one of their completely restored inventory cars based almost entirely on the representations made by the owner. Would never buy from Atomic Motors again if they had the last car on earth! Not enough space here to list all the deficiencies. Sent a professional car inspector to the appraise the car before purchasing. He was not allowed to drive it nor put it up on a rack. That should have been the first warning sign. . I can absolutely document every workmanship and component failure over the past 10 months since purchase. Upon complaining, they had an attorney write me a threatening letter attempting to suppress the possibility of legal action or negative publicity. After all the money I've spent to put this car back together, what's a few more dollars to solicit the courts for help? read more

If you have Atomic do any mechanical work, you'll need 3 things. 1) a boatload of patience 2) a boatload of money (above and beyond their original quote and 3) a backup shop to fix the things they did half-assed. Was quoted $3500-5000 to do a motor swap on my Jeep. I provided EVERYTHING and they were to install only. 2 months later I was into this project $28000 (no kidding). They will offer a 30 day warranty bc their work will hold for about 30 days and then go bad. After returning to them 3-4 times and paying for rework, I realized that I was the fool for continuing to return. I finally went to a competent shop to actually fix the things they did 70% correctly. I brought my car there for two new tires an alignment and to diagnose a leak. It took over 6 weeks to get the work done even though initially they said 5- 6 days, maybe 10. Two sets of bushings were ordered even though we discussed getting custom ones made in house. Eventually that route was taken but it took a while. Two sets of tires were ordered and 4 new ones installed. I only needed two. The new tires in front were too wide and the slightest turn would rub the fenders. There's no way the car was tested as claimed because you would notice that right away. They called on a Friday that my car was ready and I could pick it up, I paid the final bill that day. When i showed up Monday there was another almost $900 worth of "missed" invoices that they discovered and I had to pay before they would release the car to me! Total scam!! I had to pay it or I wouldn't get the keys, then the front door wouldn't open, again something they would have noticed if they actually had test driven the car. I ended up fixing the door myself, ordered two new tires that would fit and received those in 5 days. There's no way I would ever go back to this place and I don't recommend anyone else doing so either. read more

I stopped by, took the tour, made solid arrangements to have aftermarket air conditioning completed. We stood over my classic vehicle and talked about how the process would work and all that most likely needed done. I completed customer and vehicle information forms where I provided phone number, address, email, etc. Told about 2-3 weeks and contact would be made. That was long before COVID, no contact yet (more than 2 years later!). Thank goodness, because I did a yelp search after waiting so long and I have to say I have yet to see so many negative reviews on a single place. I am glad they never called. They respond quickly to the folks who give them 5 stars for having free hot dogs and donuts on saturdays, but dont dare criticize their crappy workmanship. I wish I could a MUCH LOWER RATING! I brought my car into them to get some work done and consign it for sale. After several months and many thousands of dollars later; I took the car back and it is in worse condition than when I dropped it off. The brakes which worked fine before are very sloppy and don't stop the car very well (gravity is a BIG help) The steering was never fixed nor the exhaust welded. They refuse to give me my work receipts( I do have my CC receipts) and they stole from me. I gave them some parts to install and lo and behold they vanished. At first they denied ever having received the parts, but a mechanic spoke and said that I did provide the parts. AM's said they would order me new parts and send them to me. After several months with absolutely no contact from them, I went into the office and asked about the parts; first denial, they sent parts, then sent a check. I asked to see proof and they said it would take 1 to 2 weeks WTF!?! this was before fathers day and still a BIG FAT NOTHING from them. They tried to get me to reconsign the car and when I, very nicely, asked for paperwork, the head "mechanic" thru such a hissy fit (like a baby getting their pacifier taken away) and stated when don't do nor do we need contracts!!! MEGA RED FLAG. He then goes into a back room and appear with to other employees and said "its time for you to leave NOW!" as all 3 started approaching me. I was very calm and professional the whole time I was at their business. FEARING for my physical well being, I immediately and quietly exited the so called business and drove away. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, seriously. I live maybe 500 feet away from the shops and I finally had a chance to go in the other day, and I was blown away by the inventory and customer service, and I didn't even buy anything... Jack, greeted me at the front door and offered me hot dogs and beverages, which I did not expect. I walked around and looked at their beautiful cars. THEY ARE WELL TAKEN CARE OF. I literally saw my own reflection in almost each car, very clean and taken care of. I was then taken for a tour on their whole property which I didnt even know they had 3 other little shops on the plot!! I saw some beautiful work being done, I was given knowledge about certain vehicles and people there, it was awesome. I saw my favorite trucks ever, Ford Broncos, I saw sports cars. I'll be coming back with my hands full of money to purchase a classic. Not sure why people are complaining about being charged so much.. you literally pay as you go and you're paying so much because you keep wanting to add so much. They are honest and hard working. When I received my car it wouldn't shift to the lower gears, speedo didn't work,and it leaned to one side where they adjusted the shock so you couldn't tell.I called them and they pretty much said try bad not our problem.Don't believe the owner he's a crook. read more

I would first like to start off and say that this place is AWESOME!! I've lived in vegas 15 years and never knew about it tell I saw a VW BUG on line for sale. Dave who helped me with buying the bug is awesome. Great guy. The owners bill and cat are wonderful as well. They all went above and beyond!! I'm beyond happy with all of them !!! For the most part I am happy with the purchase. EXCEPT, that there were issues when the vehicle was delivered. Driver door was disassembled with the glass loose and parts were missing from the window regulator. Engine mounts were loose, Tranny bellhousing bolts weren't torqued down and loose. Vehicle was listed as good running and driving restoration project, and over the phone it was disclosed that the door was replaced and not to worry that it would be reassembled. This though isn't the main cause of the negative review. Instead it is due to how they have handled my polite request to cover the simple costs of the bringing the vehicle to the level they advertised it. I was lied to by an unnamed employee after sending an invoice from the shop I had look over the vehicle to operations@atomicmotors.net. Who proceeded to shout at me on the phone when I called out that the vehicle did not meet the listing. He then proceeded to try to buy the vehicle back from me multiple times and saying he wasn't going to pay to restore this vehicle for me. After repeatedly trying to get him to understand that I don't expect that, only to cover the cost of the engine work and door work out of professionalism. He continued to shout at me so I told him I would consult an attorney on how to proceed and hung up. They proceeded to call back twice and hang up on me when I picked up the second time. Having to disassemble the entire engine block as we found some head studs were loose among other issues at this point. I've been advised to cut my losses, leave reviews on my experience and not deal with them any further. read more

Three years ago I drove my 1993 H1 Hummer in for customizing, 3 weeks ago I was able to drive it home, barely road ready. When I brought it in I informed Atomic Motors that my budget was $25,000 to $30,000. Three years later I had paid well over $70,000. During the time it was in the possession of Atomic Motors I was charged a couple of times to "get it running" even though it was in running condition when I drove it to them. They claim that the fuel went stale causing the HP pump and system to clog up, however, the system had been rebuilt just prior to taking it to Atomic. In the years in the possession of Atomic Motors they had to replace the batteries three times because they let them go dead. Thank god they were Costco batteries as I was required to replace them. One of the most upsetting issue towards the end was on the bill when they charged 3 technicians 0.25 hours each to move it from one building to another (this is not the only example). For interior work they sent it out to a company they chose without any consultation or approval from me. I previously paid for four new seats so all that needed to be done was carpeting, and that charge was around $12,000. In all fairness Shaun Ruddy does amazing fabrication, but nobody seems to track the build or cost progress. If you chose to use them I suggest 1. Get a written estimate for both time and money. 2. Stay on top of them by visiting often. 3. Don't be an idiot like me and give them a blank check. Perhaps they deserve the low star rating. Stephen Castle read more
