Once the bike got home it stopped running on the way to get tires. Turns out timing was wrong. May 25 after 1800 trip; head gasket blew taking front cyclinder & piston. HD replaced/repaired. During break-in of "new" 1250 kit; head gasket blew again. HD replaced & blew during test ride. Tore everything down, cyclinder studs were being pulled out of cases. Stripped out. HD repaired/replaced. read more

Bike stopped running after a new rebuild. Kenny and Bernie pulled the engine apart and quickly figured out the issue. Without even asking they let me take a spare set of heads they had setting in the shop to send in to get re-machined. Just waiting on heads to come back now and will have Boulder Choppers finish the work along with an alignment, which I had never even seen done by any other shops. Crook! I took my bike to Kenny and I have an fxr. He quoted me prices for the parts that I paid. Said he put new throttle cables on and used stretched out ones, said replaced springs and forks with oil and seals. None of it was done. My further review is because I took it to another mechanic and witnessed the work. This is not a spiteful text but a beware of someone who lied. He claims to be about god I even attended church with him and he said he changed spline to aluminum and lied was never changed, he said I had a ep460 can in my single cam engine and he lied. He took me for over 2000 dollars. I was very disappointed with this seeming how he proclaimed himself as a man of faith and truth. All work was shotty. Clutch cable came undone in the middle of riding was never tightened. This guy should not be allowed to work on peoples things. Do NOT BELIEVE or go to this man for work. I walked into Boulder Choppers asked for Kenny, (on the recommendation of a Knowledgeable parts guy,) he took one glance knew immediately what it was, walked away, came back with the exact gasket and handed it to me. When I asked how much he said Don't Worry About It... It was only a gasket but I think his response when I asked how much, not only showed good character but also good business sense. He had never met me before and I usually do all my own work, but if I ever came up against something I couldn't handle the first place I would go is to Boulder Choppers. I had this place rated a 5 star I now change my review. My husband passed away april 5th 2018, before he died he bought a pair of $500 dollar handlebars. It's been over a year since then and Kenny has refused to A. Give me my husbands money back and B. Give me the handlebars. If I was a member of a club or a Male I would have had the money or bars back already. My boyfriend calls about the bars and guess what he don't even know where they are and it will take a couple days to find. 1. Why are they not on the shelf being sold to some one? I think Kenny has already sold the bars and needs to reorder new ones to replace them with. How do u not know where the product is when its your shop. I thought we were friends he hides behind god but what he is doing I am sure god is really happy with that. My husband died and ur treating his wife like shit. SHAME ON YOU KENNY. There is no detail as to what work was actually performed - just a price for the service requested. If you pay several hundred bux for routine maintenance it would be nice to have a list of what was added, replaced or changed for your records. The tech instead said, "we check everything".
