Just wanted to pick a restaurant close to our hotel. We were feeling like steak.... So we picked Atlas Steak House. We made a reservation 1 hour before and were able to be seated.... First the restaurant. It was tastefully decorated. Very cozy and quaint. Just a real casual vibe. The service.... AMAZING !!! The wait staff attended to every little detail. The drink & wine menu are extensive. They recommended a cab wine for me and it was just HEAVEN!!! Shout out to MIA behind the bar. Girl knows how to make a martini. We had the porterhouse for two. My friend and I came here for resturant week - and I will say the service here is A+. Everyone was so attentive and nice and the vibes were that of your traditional steak house (granted I will say I don't go to many steak houses). We decided to each do the resturant week menu to share: -Fried Calmari: This was solid but you really cannot go wrong with calmari -Burrata Con Pana: Another solid dish but you really also cannot go wrong with cheese. The portion sizes were also pretty good! -Lobster Ravoli: This was just alright - honestly I should have gone with the steak as this is a steak house -NY Strip Steak: Perfectly cooked, amazing. First of all, the service was impeccable! Very attentive, friendly, and professional. The drinks were ok, but the bread was not great. We ordered the tuna tartare, and it was good. It was only served with 4 tiny chips, so we had to ask for extra. We both ordered filets with potatoes and broccoli. Presentation was wonderful. Unfortunately our steaks were not good. I noticed a smell as soon as they were set down. We both took a bite of our steaks and agreed they were bad. The manager gladly took the steaks off of our bill. Off to a great start for a place that recently opened. I'm hoping that this review brings more hungry eaters to this establishment because it deserves more customers. To you Restaurant Week enthusiasts, you will enjoy your time here! For starters, the service was immaculate. The staff treated my friend and I like royalty, with numerous faces taking my plates, refilling my water, and handling the food. It could be because there weren't many people dining at the time, so I really appreciated every person who took the opportunity to service us. We felt extremely welcomed and look forward to future visits. The food was also quite good. The cocktail and mignonette with the Oysters & Clams were on point. The sauces had sharp flavors but weren't too pungent. The fried calamari had a good texture and the marinara sauce had a good temperature (though I think that the marinara sauce could have a slightly stronger taste because the calamari dilutes it). The buffalo mozzarella was just alright. I definitely think that the vinaigrette could be significantly stronger (maybe because I was getting used to the Crudo cocktail sauce). For the mains, I chose the Lobster Ravioli while my friends chose the NY Strip Steak upgrade. I enjoyed the savoriness of the Lobster Ravioli, but the NY Strip Steak was really the star in my opinion. It comes on a sizzling plate, is gorgeously basted in front of the consumer, and comes with a unique sweet steak sauce with a small spicy kick. The mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were also nicely dense but not overwhelming. For dessert, we got the Raspberry Cheesecake and Crème brûlée. My friend enjoyed the top bits of the Cheesecake, and I really loved the deep flavor of my custard. Neither were too uniquely presented, but they were adequate finishers to our meal. We also really loved the glass on the house. It didn't have that distinct wine taste (which I liked) and had a stinging yet pleasant sweetness taste. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was exceptional. Differently one of the better steakhouses that I have dined at, so I'm looking forward to what the future holds. read more

Found this hidden gem by chance walking down 36th street this morning. Came back in afternoon and was Greeted and Invited in to have a pre-fix lunch although it was a bit after 3:00pm. Ordered a glass of Sangiovese. Very nice. Calamari was crispy and tasty and pomodoro sauce was divine. He even substituted chicken francese for the chicken parm and it also was incredible. The restaurant has a nice dining room with good service. The baked clams were tasty and I would have enjoyed a touch more clam juice to intensify flavor. The Caesar salad was simple and tasty. The creamed spinach side was nice and not too creamy. The broccoli was just ok. The chicken francese was tender with plenty of sauce. The salmon has a touch touches of honey mustard sauce. I'd prefer a butter blanc or hollandaise sauce on the side. The $30 pp with tip and one iced tea came to $95. read more

First off, if you want amazing service and a very attentive staff, this is the place to come. These guys are amazing and will make you feel pampered. Being a new place, everything is nice and clean and you can sit inside or outside. I chose outside because it was such a nice night. Great ambiance for an intimate romantic dinner. Night started out horrible. Wanted to go to Keens which is our usual place and it was full so I was crabby. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because Atlantis was absolutely Fabulous. Andre was our server and took care of us. I had a sizzling dry aged 18 oz NY strip that had that "crunch" that I've only ever had at Peter Lugers. My wife had an octopus, squid and shrimp salad and a tuna dish that was a hit. Do yourself a favor and have dinner here. Hidden gem for sure. This is one of the best steaks I've ever had! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Service is excellent. The meal came out quickly and the sides were great! We both got the dry aged bone-in ribeye.
