Feta salad(was a special that day
Mora B.

Went her last month after going to Allure spa to continue on with my check off my bookmark series lol. Anytime I dine solo I sit at the bar for faster better service! This place gives intimate and cozy/fine dining for the location which gives hustle and bustle so it's a nice contrast! Now on to the food I wanted to an early girl dinner didn't want to over do it! The special feta salad was the star of the show for me it was so delicious and fresh with that feta... the crab cake was so so I would preferred lump crab you can tell they used claw(not bad but lump is better imo) the truffle fries were perfect and I loved the oyster plate set up.... Oh I forgot to add they give you a bread cracked plate and the whitefish dip was so good for my first time having it! I will return to have a regular dinner not at the bar!

The interior is pretty and the service is really nice. My waiter was kind with his recommendations. The lunch special is a good deal, with the seafood here being very good. I got branzino which was crispy, boneless, had a rich Mediterranean herbal sauce, but the octopus appetizer was also good. Cheesecake dessert was also pleasant, not too sweet and with a nice pairing of fruit toppings.

Another fabulous meal at the Sea fire Grill. Food was impeccable as always, and the service cannot get any better. Drinks at the bar are always a must. They are carefully crafted and well balanced. We absolutely love this restaurant. Management and staff really have it down pat.

NYC Restaurant Week menus Summer 2025

One of my favorites for NYC Restaurant Week each year. Reserved for a group of 7. Some of us arrived early so started with delicious cocktails at the bar. We were seated at a large round table. Plenty of space for all our food and lovely place settings with tablecloths. Lovely space, high ceilings, great service and delicious food and cocktails. The food and portions for restaurant week are great! We left happy and satisfied. The staff here are always helpful and attentive.

Dover Sole special

I regularly visit this restaurant when I am in midtown and it is always a great choice. I had the Dover Sole which is filleted table side and it was very simple with lemon butter and capers and it was excellent. The Broccoli Rabe was also good and I started with the Manhattan clam chowder and it was good but not amazing. The bread and the fish dip that comes at the beginning is always excellent. The service is usually excellent but this visit was a little slow and I waited 15 mins to get a check. It is a staple for me when I want a good dinner with healthy options and I will most definitely be back.

Beautiful classic ambiance, spacious dining area. I love the sea and land spread of protein options. Great service, attentive and timely. The food was delicious and I plan to go again for another round of dinner.

Midtown manhattan white table cloth restaurant. Quite a few expense account attendees here. My wife to quench her thirst started with an Aetna spritz, a blood orange liqueur base. Very refreshing. And I had a markers mark manhattan which was robust in volume! The brought a bread tray with a spongy white toast and crackers. Bread not very good We ordered off the restaurant week menu which in manhattan is the entire month of August! It was $60 pp. Onto appetizers - firstly. Presentation here is exemplary. MK had a wedge salad and I had burrata. Wedge was elevated by warm Smokey bacon as opposed to crumbled earlier in the day prepared bacon. Burrata was creamy on caramelizes onions, evoo and basil. Was a little cold and was better as it warmed up. Main entrees were the bronzino and upgraded to ribeye for $25 up charge. The bronzino was light and flaky. The ribeye was superb! Nice marbling and done perfectly to medium rare. The NY Cheesecake with berries was to NY expectations. Sorbets were also right there. They use good ingredients here and have chefs that make them great. Desert Shared NY Cheesecake and mango and lemon sorbets.

On this rainy day, from the minute we walked in we were greeted warmly. The dining room was beautiful. And the food, which was from their Restaurant Week menu was very yummy. Definitely worth the visit.

We had a weekday lunch reservation for restaurant week. The restaurant is large, clean, and was not busy while we were there. I liked how the tables were spaced far apart and the service was attentive. I ordered the octopus, steak, and tiramisu. The octopus appetizer was light and perfect for summer, and it came with a good amount of octopus pieces. The steak had a great sear on it, but was overcooked on the inside when I asked for it medium rare. The tiramisu was good, but I was so full I couldn't finish it. Overall the portions are large and it's a great value for restaurant week!

Imported Burrata

Me and my boyfriend went here for Valentines Day, we had their Valentine price fix menu. The food and the service were absolutely amazing. However I do feel as though the entrees didn't quite match up with the price we paid for the experience. I feel as though the price fix menu was a bit underwhelming considering the atmosphere of the restaurant and the price. I would recommend this restaurant but I would say to look at pictures, prices and other reviews before going.

Great spot! We enjoyed all our dishes here. For appetizers, you cannot go wrong with the lobster bisque (good amount of lobster) or grilled Spanish octopus. The NY strip is so good (comes out sizzling), the rib eye is tender and if you're a fan of seafood, get the squid ink with lobster. Food: 4/5 They were a bit busy on the weekend but I think service was fine. Great ambiance (not too stuffy but also fancy enough). Great spot to do a client lunch or family dinner. Ambiance: 4/5 Cocktails were also cute and yummy.

Loved it here! It's a great place for a big group (which is what I went for, a big group celebrating a birthday). The service is great and the menu had a good variety of food even though it is mostly seafood focused so there was something for everyone. I'm not sure if they have vegan options but it was great otherwise. I love, loved the service. The waiter was so kind, thoughtful and funny. He explained everything thoroughly and was very patient. I loved the food. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I tried the octopus, calamari, shrimp cocktail, surf and turf, salmon, lobster mac and cheese, a piece of the tomahawk steak and an apple crumble for dessert. All of it was great! The ambiance is nice and the volume of the restaurant was kind of loud but not loud enough to drown the sounds of my screaming toddler (sorry everyone, he really didn't want his diaper changed). They do have high chairs but no changing station, unfortunately. The bathroom is very small (2 stalls) so maybe there's no room for the changing station but we made do on the window ledge of one of the stalls. Anyhoo, all-in-all, yes. I would recommend it here and would definitely come back. Thank you, Sea Fire Grill for the great experience!

Came for a luncheon ENTRANCE - can't miss the blue awning on the street HOSTESS - extremely nice at the podium. While early allowed me to wait at the bar. The bar tender was setting up and got me a drink while I wait for restaurant to officially open in 20 min. DECOR - very posh and elegant. Sharp looking modern design tables. A few seating areas and a private section. BAR - definite full stock but relatively small. Perhaps 10-12 can be seated. But there are 4 high chair tables to sit 2-4 for conversational engagement. The bar tender is super nice and attentive. While waiting had a glass of Cabernet that was good for bar stock. MENU - pretty extensive with choices abound with and great specials WAITER - super service with jokes and nice conversation APPETIZERS - we designed a family style option with tastes for the 7 of us. The shrimp, prawns, bursts, octopus and scallops were delicious ENTREES - did traditional porter house stake for myself. Prepared perfectly and not very salty. The sides of Brussel sprouts and finger land potatoes were great DESERT - did not try but the cappuccino was very good PRICE - excellent meal that for 7 people without tax and tip was $1,100 so the person gives it $$$$$ Overall - excellent but you get what you paid for

Sea Fire Grill Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Sea Fire Grill

I would like to know the prices?

Bill for 4 people, with shared steak appetizer, 2 salads for main courses, a steak, a salmon and 2 bottles of wine were $800 last night. Absurd.

Actually, I was talking about the web menu. I always check to see if they charge $50 for a lobster. Makes me decide whether to go or not?

Hmm, no prices on the menu for dinner or lunch items?

Interesting what day did you go ? When we went last week ( M &T ) prices were clearly marked with the exception of some typical market priced items. I would check with management.

Hello, How was the music, were they playing up to date songs, preferably hip hop?

They don't play hip-hop here at all. I wish lol. More like lounge/elevator music.

Can I make reservations for 13 people?

Yes, we do accept reservations for 13 people. If the reservation is for over 10 people then we ask you make the reservation over the phone.

How much is the lobster roll?

Our lobster roll is $26 and comes with French fries.

What's the average price for 2 people?

$50-$75 with appetizer and dinner. Alcohol is additional.

What is acceptable attire for this restaurant?

Hi Joshua, Our dress code is business casual, though we're flexible. Hope this helps!

I've got one hour and fifteen minutes for lunch between meetings- think I can make it on and out within that timeframe?

In restaurant time yes, but if that includes travel time no.

We showed up and the place was buzzing with a line out the door. I checked in at the podium and hostess said table will be ready in 5 minutes. 2 minutes later, we the hostess to our table. Looking around everything was the old classic/stereotypical ideas of a what a great steakhouse should be and it did not disappoint. Sal was our waiter, he was friendly, professional and one look we could tell we were in the more than capable hands and nothing would be amiss. He told us about the specials, lunch or dinner menu options. The other wait staff worked like a team that has been together for years, checking on everyone in our section, delivering our orders, refilling our glasses, answering questions, bussing our table everyone with smooth and practiced motions. 2 Caesar salads, 1 8 oz filet w/baked potato, 1 surf and turf w/broccoli everything cooked and presented to perfection. For dessert, the legendary cheesecake with coffee and the baked Alaska. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. In this restaurant the waiters make everyone feel important and special and maybe it's a little pricey but it's New York and they have been around for a really long time so they knew what they are doing and are doing it GREAT.

The crab cake and stuffed shrimp were very good also but not quite as good as the steak. The ambiance of the whole vibe reminds me of an old movie, where important people from all walks of life go to have a good meal. Our servers where top notch also, If I had to nitpick, I would confess the Mac & Cheese was a little dry and lacked flavor. Also the fries were a little over done but I came for the stake and I left a happy man.

The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok (dry-aged, bone-in ribeye was tough and gristly with a lot of sinew in my cut - unexpected for a good cut of what should be well-marbled meat). Asparagus on the greasy side. Lavender creme brulée was good, though, really could taste the lavender hint over the creamy custard with just the right hint of a crunchy sugar melted on top. Overall, a good service experience, just a bit tough that my steak didn't meet expectations. My dining companion had a great grilled branzino, though - that looked amazing. Will have to try that next time or the bolognese (next table over had that, also smelled amazing)!
