This was really excellent. The porterhouse was pretty perfect and I even liked the creamed spinach, which is rare for me. The tartufo for dessert was also excellent.

Solid meal at the original Wolfgang's location on Park Avenue. Met a long time friend and we were promptly seated for our 6:30PM dinner reservation. Started out with a Caesar salad and shared a porterhouse for 2 cooked a perfect medium rare with potatoes. A glass of Daou Cabernet each accompanied our dinner. Bill came in around $150 each with tip.

I usually love Wolfgang's, but this location didn't quite live up to my past experiences. Maybe they were having an off day, since we came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. I started with an Old Fashioned that, unfortunately, was pretty poorly made. There were a few of us, so we shared several dishes. The bacon, wedge salad, and Caesar salads were all good, especially the wedge salad, which was probably the standout of the meal. We ordered the Cajun tomahawk to share, but it was a bit overcooked and lacked flavor. The German potatoes and creamed spinach on the side were both solid. Service was fine, not bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, I'd give this visit a 3.5. I'm hoping this was just an off day, as I've had much better experiences at other Wolfgang's locations.

Had such a great time here. It's giving antique vibes due to the subway looking ceiling. It's definitely a little loud but still good for a date. Now the food 10/10! Ordered the Tomahawk with fires/onion rings and asparagus and some lovely wine. Service was also 10/10. Would come again for a big celebration.

I came here for a business lunch. I got their soup, which was a lobster bisque. It was perfect as it was a pretty cold and rainy day. For the entree, I got a filet with peppercorn sauce. I felt like it was decent, but also didn't stand out either. My colleague got a filet with mushroom sauce, but I don't think it came out in the right temperature

Wanted to try different restaurant for steak in NYC. Looking from outside, theres lots of glass and wood in the dark, not sure if it closed til i noticed the downstairs. I Ordered rib eye and mash potatoes. It was very good. Steak was cooked well for a medium. Crabcake was very good full of meat. The juice from steak felt like gravy. I wanted to put the steak on the mash. Dk if I would come back, its very pricey but you got to put out money if you want good food.

It was cool .. 1st time being at a Wolfgang location I came on a Monday after work. the service was great. Ralph took care of me at the bar. I had a ceasar salad with a jumbo shrimp cocktail. Both very standard but filling. I also had a lychee martini and a lemon drop. Be warned they make a pretty stiff drink lol all and all I had a pleasant time. Nothing to write home about food wise but if you want a chill old NY vibe this is a spot you can stop

Loved the porterhouse for two. Had with a colleague. Also the bacon and Caesar salad . Had with a glass of house Cabernet I had some apple strudel but had to take it home. Dark ambiance but fitting for this Luger style steakhouse. Service was nice. Would come again at some point.

We ate here and all went well! Had the salmon and steak. We ordered sides of Brussels sprouts and lobster Mac and cheese. The bread did not seem very high quality as we just came from Europe, so it's hard to compare but all went well and had good leftovers.

Fantastic steak. We got the porterhouse for 2 and ordered a side of mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were good, and the wine was fantastic. Vibes were good but it was pretty noisy during dinner. The service was great. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving some food steak!

A perfectly fine steakhouse meal as one should expect for the money. The steak not quite as tender or flavorful as I would hope and the sides were good. Beautiful ambiance and excellent service!

Best steak I've ever had!! Although this was my first higher end steakhouse experience, as a steak lover, I can definitely say this exceeded expectations. Got the porterhouse steak for 2 ~$70 per person was a bit pricey but the portion size is actually so generous and I cannot emphasize how perfectly cooked and flavorful and juicy it was. Got the potatoes as well which were a little burnt on the edges but still so so good and added a nice crunch to the soft potatoes. Perfect date night treat yourself moment. Forever holds a special place in my heart. Definitely gets crowded later so definitely go early dinner time with reservation. Such a classy vibe and great service.

Came here with a party of 7 and overall had a great experience. We ordered both the Tomahawk and Porterhouse steaks to share, along with a solid spread of sides and apps. The Tomahawk steak was easily the star of the meal -- incredibly tender, buttery, and flavorful. It practically melted in the mouth and had that perfect char on the outside. If you're going, this is the cut to get. The Porterhouse, on the other hand, didn't quite live up to the same standard -- still decent, but lacked the depth and richness of the Tomahawk. For appetizers, we kept it classic with the thick-cut bacon (delicious, as expected) and tomato & onion salad, which was fresh and well-seasoned. On the sides, the mashed potatoes were creamy, fries were crisp, onion rings were golden and crunchy, and the creamed spinach added a nice touch of richness. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the old-school steakhouse vibe added to the experience. Overall, a great spot for a celebratory meal -- just make sure you don't skip the Tomahawk!

We had a 7:00 PM curtain and chose this spot partly because of its reputation for getting theatergoers in and out efficiently. Our reservation was for 5:30 PM, though we were not seated until about 6:00 PM, so I would recommend allowing at least two hours before showtime just to be safe. Once seated, however, the evening flowed seamlessly. Service was prompt and professional, cocktails arrived quickly (and were excellent), and the food did not disappoint. We shared the Italian salad and a pasta entrée -- both were delicious, and the portions were enormous. We ended up leaving about half. Total bill for three, including tip, was around $180, which felt like a very good value given the quality, portions, and Midtown location. We'll definitely return before another Broadway show.

Dishes are all served family-style with huge portions for 2-4. We did ask for a bread basket, which had an array of plain white, cheesy, and marinara topped bread. The chicken parmesan was sliced really then and covered with a generous layer of mozzarella. We paired with broccoli, which was sauteed and super garlicy. Both were more than plenty for two people. We planned on having leftover parm, but it was too delicious. We saw another table with the Titanic dessert, and we were jealous but too stuffed. Maybe next time! Despite the crowd, service was great and the bathrooms were clean. The food came quickly and was all delicious. This is a great place the larger your party size so you can try a little bit of everything.

We showed up and the place was buzzing with a line out the door. I checked in at the podium and hostess said table will be ready in 5 minutes. 2 minutes later, we the hostess to our table. Looking around everything was the old classic/stereotypical ideas of a what a great steakhouse should be and it did not disappoint. Sal was our waiter, he was friendly, professional and one look we could tell we were in the more than capable hands and nothing would be amiss. He told us about the specials, lunch or dinner menu options. The other wait staff worked like a team that has been together for years, checking on everyone in our section, delivering our orders, refilling our glasses, answering questions, bussing our table everyone with smooth and practiced motions. 2 Caesar salads, 1 8 oz filet w/baked potato, 1 surf and turf w/broccoli everything cooked and presented to perfection. For dessert, the legendary cheesecake with coffee and the baked Alaska. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. In this restaurant the waiters make everyone feel important and special and maybe it's a little pricey but it's New York and they have been around for a really long time so they knew what they are doing and are doing it GREAT.

Starters: - French onion soup, au gratin, was perfect. Great onion profile and lots of it. Not overly salty so that was good. - Beef tartare, classic French bistro staple, must order this. The portion was quite generous and it was delicious. We couldn't stop eating it. The petite toasts were a nice accompaniment as well as the raddiccio salad - cheese board, IYKYK, I never met a cheese I didn't like. This board was matched with nice pairings. Think grapes, fig jam, and marcona almonds. The cheese were a classic French variety - bleu, comte and brie. For our entrees, my son opted for a sandwich and I got the steak. His croque Madame was really delicious. The bread, the ham, the baked cheese and the fried egg was so savory. Yummy. My steak was a sizeable portion but I purposely ordered the bigger ounces since I know we'd share. Fries are nice and skinny, perfectly seasoned. Our waiter was attentive and I asked for the table next to us given all the food I know we were getting. He was not sure if he could accommodate but I insisted he check with management. They came over and put it together for me. I appreciated that given a table for two, for how much we ordered, it'd never fit. Totally would return.
