I submit my otc meds to my FSA so I need proof of what I purchased. They don't have receipt books or even a stamp with the pharmacy details. Second, as I explained why I needed a detailed receipt, a very angry woman yelled from behind the pharmacy counter that they have plenty of customers so it's not a problem for anyone else. Nice way to treat one of them. The nice young ladies at the register clearly looked mortified at this unnecessarily aggressive behavior. Will not get any more prescriptions from this place. In a pinch, they're ok but I hate rewarding bad behavior, so there's a much friendlier pharmacy on Fulton near Clinton Ave that I'll be using going forward.

Having been in retail management for 9 years, I understand that your establishment pays for that item and if it that item goes unaccounted for, it will directly hit your bottom line but you could've let that go. It was a ten year old that made a mistake, not a situation of a mother not having control of their kid and the employee knew that. You could've just let it go and for that reason we won't return. For some reason, that didn't extend to prescriptions. Until now. SVRH is better in every single way than the soulless corporate pharmacy we used to go to. (I'm not going to name names, but it rhymes with DVS.) First and most importantly, they actually have the prescription drugs that my children need when they get very ill. In stock. Ready to roll, without a wait. I'm not sure how or why they have a better stock than a major corporation, but they do. Secondly, you get to talk to actual humans. Instead of pressing a bunch of numbers to try and get my problem solved when I call in, until I inevitably scream "REPRESENTATIVE!" at the phone, I called SVRH and an actual human being answered. And she answered my question quickly, without having to consult another human or put me on hold for 20 minutes until she came back with a non-answer. Thirdly, when you go in, you get to see and experience genuine human care. These are nice humans trying to get other humans the medicine they need, quickly and efficiently. I also love to see the Asian dude behind the counter throwing pounds to the black community patronizing this business. Yes, some people waiting were impatient and a little angry, but the staff (and there were plenty of people working) dealt with all of them well, and even with a bit of humor. If I can make it work, SVRH will get all of our prescription business from here on out. Plus, they sell lotto tickets, so they'll win that $1 million when I win the Powerball. M&F has been here for as long as I can remember. they used to have a video store to the left of the…read morecurrent entrance where I probably rented every NES game and Godzilla VHS tape they had on stock...multiple times. over the years the video store gradually shrunk while the general store area expanded to what M&F is now. what's great is that you can get pretty much anything here. medicine, watches repaired, document notarizing, household shopping, greeting cards, key copying...yup, they got it all and it won't hurt your wallet. the people who work here are really nice and helpful, something increasingly rare these days. hilarious anecdote: when I was a child, I pinched some random woman's ass in the M&F video store, and my parents quasi-apologized with "oh, he learned that from his grandfather." sadly, you can't get away with shit like that anymore. the 80s were truly a magical era.
