When I arrived, they asked if my puppy got vaccinated recently, which he did. So I had to reschedule to a different day. Over the phone they only asked about rabies shot and I have a document for that. I wish the staff asked ALL the questions over the phone. The extra trip could have been avoided. During my rescheduled appointment, I booked for an early morning slot. The staff explained it could take up to 5 hours, which sounds extremely long. I called other salons and they also said about 4-5 hours. I guess this is the normal time frame everywhere you go. The groomer did a good job but there are two things she did even though I asked her not to do. My requests are not to cut his eyelashes and I don't want him bald. I was hoping for short fluffy cut, around 1 inch of hair left. When I picked him up, I honestly thought they gave me the wrong dog. I was like telling them this isn't my dog. I had to check for my puppy's special markings to make sure it's him. The cut was so drastic compared to his long fur when I dropped him off. Overall, my puppy is safe, didn't get hurt, and clean. I wished the groomer didn't cut him too short and didn't touch his eyelashes. Overall, my take on PetSmart grooming is: 1) Make an account online. Book grooming through the website. That way you can see an estimate on pricing. Over the phone, they take a long time to pick up the phone. And they are not as detailed over the phone either. 2) Bring a proof of rabies shot at your appointment. 3) Your dog will be clean, but the cut isn't the prettiest. If this is important to you, book another salon that specializes in that specific cut. 4) You will get a text (and maybe a phone call) that your dog is ready for pick up. It took my puppy 4.5 hours for a bath and a haircut. 5) The good thing about PetSmart is that if you book online, there's plenty of availability. I called other salons and a lot of them are booked 2-3 weeks out. 6) The price I paid is comparable to other salons. I'd come back here again if my puppy needs urgent grooming. I don't love that the groomer cut his fur too short (and the eyelashes), but again my puppy is safe, didn't get hurt, and clean.

When the shop was located across the street, the staff was attentive and welcoming. The difference in service now is disappointing. At this point, I would recommend saving your time and choosing another option.

They had everything from Feeder Rats/mice, to other cool animals and birds to chicken food that I have to drive all the way to El Monte to get. Never had a major accident here before but 2 months ago she had serious razor burns on both sides of her under arms & thigh. I didnt see this until i brought her home. He told me he wanted to make things right & offered a huge discount on my next visit but cannot issue refund for this visit. He wouldn't say how much of a discount except that it is a huge discount & will apply to my next visit. Comes today when I bought my fur baby for a full grooming, I was only offered 15% off by Victor. He says that's the usual maximum discount for issues like razor burns. Continued to say that he can't offer more of a discount because he has to pay his groomer. How is that the customer's responsibility when it's their groomer whom caused my fur baby to suffer for those couple of weeks. This is our last visit here not because of the discount but the attitude i received from Victor. He acted as if he didn't care & spoke on behalf of the store owner. They were great and very patient as I walked around the store asking questions. 2 stars instead of 1 because at least after 30 days the fish are still alive, were not sick, etc. NEW FISH OWNERS BEWARE: Do NOT go here if you want any type of advice at all regarding fish. I came in for a single male betta, some aquatic plants, seachem stability and micropellets, and media / filter to get a 5G tank cycling started before actually buying the betta. He instead sold us 3 betta females encouraging us to start a sorority tank inside a 5G, that it didn't need cycling, and that I was going a bit far to buy so many things for "just one fish." Listen, I get you have to upsell and it was easy to tell I was new to the hobby. But I take things seriously, and once I got home and looked everything up -- I discovered the horrendous reality that the 3 female bettas were most likely going to attack each other and die within 7-10 days. Within 24 hours I had to separate them into tiny glass vases because they started chasing each-other relentlessly, bullying the smallest one, and it was extremely stressful. Maybe it's my fault for being talked into it because I had only done research regarding a single betta. This guy pretty much set me up for failure from the get go. Fast forward one month, I now have a 20G tank (recommended 5G per a single fish), it finally finished its FIRST full ammonia/nitrite/nitrate cycle, and I have a community tank of 8 harlequin rasboras, the 3 female bettas that I still have to monitor, a nitrite snail, and plenty of plants. Funny how if he really did give good advice, I would've come back tenfold for the good price and general cleanliness. But nope! I'm new to the hobby but have already experienced at least three stores other than Bob's that treated me better, had a better understanding of guidance about fish, etc. Extremely appalled by the type of guidance I got here.
