A must visit pet food store in SGV! Saw this place on TikTok and had to come explore in person. I love getting my cats freeze dried treats and they had plenty of options. It was clean and quiet inside. Something I noted was that most of the items didn't have a price tag displayed so I didn't find out the prices until I paid. They have so many cute items and Chinese inspired pet foods (freeze dried beef with bitter melon). It was such a cute place and I got many free samples and the service was good. read more

New pet store & pet salon in the 626! Lots of cute items for your pet and they have a super cute corgi store dog too! Wish we got it's name, but it's super friendly and will go up to you for pets will you're doing your shopping! A must if you love your 4 legged, furry dog or cat friends as they have lots of imported treats and pet food from Asia and even some from Europe. This is really neat since aside from the standard Inaba Churu and Ciao treats that I can get at Tokyo Central and Shibuyala, Mota Pet has WAY more variety! So many brands, packaging designs, and fancy treats that I have never seen before! If you want to spoil your pet, this is the place to do so. I saw dried quail egg treats, ostrich jerky, various purees, cat milk that is also durian and strawberry flavor?, instant meal dishes that look like congee or human rice dishes, lollipops, and so much more. I got my pet cat some barley tea flavored cat tube treats that help with digestion that he really likes (he sucks and is very picky, but he likes these!) and some super fancy freeze dried beef thigh treats that legit look like fancy beef jerky made for humans if you don't look close enough. They also have cute bowls, collars, toys, pet beds, cat trees, and so much more. Looking into the salon area, there are cat shaped accessories in there too. Since they've just opened, they're bound to have even more items as well and even down to their logo and shopping bags, everything is quite cute. Highly recommend especially if you are a cat owner since I'm so used to places being super dog skewed, but there was such a huge variety of things for cats here that I was very pleased. I think my only qualm is that this shop will ONLY be focused on dogs and cats so sadly no reptile love for my bearded dragon son, but alas, such are the ways of the world. read more

This place is a bit far from my house, but I do enjoy coming here to get my Japanese snacks for my cat. I take my time browsing and sometimes using my translator to see what it says. I like how many foreign cat food they have as some wet food is from Germany. However, I will note prices are not cheap so it is easy to overspend. read more

Found out about this place through tiktok and stopped by while I was on a trip to SoCal. They offer a lot of cat friendly items, especially foreign items from Japan, Korea, and China. Spent a good chunk of money for my three cats as there were a ton of cool cat friendly items. Selection 5/5. Most items are in a different language, so having google translate on hand will be useful. Prices were pretty good, but most items weren't priced out and I got tired of asking the worker what each item cost, so I just bought everything blind. Service is a 2/5. I had put something in my basket and one of the workers later came up and took it out of my basket that I was holding and said someone already purchased it. Was surprised, but decided to let it go because it wasn't worth it. But, later as I'm checking out, the worker then takes out another item from my basket and says she can't sell it to me because someone bought it online. I asked them what their website is so I can order and the worker then said their website isn't live yet until April and that someone had called in. Definitely not the best experience as a customer, so if you are going for the first time... just be prepared for stuff to be taken out or "sold". I hope they change their business process and operations because it definitely wasn't the best experience, but overall still got a lot of items for my cats. read more

What are the hours of operation? The hours listed online do not follow the actual hours. I tried going 4 times on different weekdays and hours with each time being a failure. I tried calling the phone number listed on yelp too which ended in failure as well. It's very disappointing and wasteful to go back and forth. First time here and had a horrible experience, I drove a long way to get here for something specific and luckily there was one left on the shelves but then I get to the register and the cashier said she had to remove it from my items because someone online bought it in the morning and they needed it for that. I saw this place on tiktok and drove 45 minutes to come, we were so excited! They were about 10 minutes late from opening time so we waited outside for someone to open the doors. When we got there it was super hot inside and we realized there were multiple cats and dogs, a literal golden retriever caged up that must have been there all night in the back. They were out of stock for multiple items. Overall very disappointing experience :( read more

It was my first time coming to this place as I always see it online as a cute place to check out! As we came inside the store they seemed to be restocking so a lot of stuff was everywhere on the floor. As I grabbed a few things and was checking out , they weren't able to sell me one of the product because they were "out of stock" when she scanned it, even though I had the last one in my hands so I don't know why she didn't let me purchase it. I thought oh maybe they have an online website so they were doing orders but I could not find a website for them so I wish there was better communication about what you can or can not buy if it's the last item in stock. Overall I say they have a good selection of freeze dried treats and foods but the experience wasn't all there nor as the staff as it seemed they were mostly focused on all the mounts of boxes of products they had on the floor. read more

was really excited to shop here and spend way too much money on cat food, but when i came in on a Friday at 11:30 AM, the door was locked .. the listed hours say it opens at 11 AM. waited around for about 10 minutes and no one showed up. seems like this is a continuous problem that is driving customers away. either amend the hours online or show up to work on time. really frustrating ! read more

I took my cat to get groomed here because she has trouble keeping herself clean. They were prompt with responding to the phone and were able to groom her same day. I dropped her off in a pet-friendly backpack and they finished grooming her in around 3 hours. When I came to pick her up, she smelled really good, her nails were well-clipped, and her fur was clean and shiny! But the best part is they cleaned my pet-friendly backpack (it was quite dirty) without me even asking them to. It was such a nice touch on their end to do that- they did something nice that was completely unrelated to what I paid for and went above and beyond with their service! I will continue taking my cat here for grooming over anywhere else! They also have foreign pet food, pet snacks, and accessories you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. If you want to get your pets a nice, affordable treat from foreign countries, please stop by here! They really are a wonderful little business. P.S. make sure you're heading north on San Gabriel Blvd so you can park on the street when you visit here! It's a little difficult to park when you're heading southbound. read more
