My bf bought a Groupon deal from them to give my medium-haired dog a simple bath and brush (their "bath package"). For about $15 bucks, it wasn't bad. However, some things I noted when I took her: 1) It was dark in there. Heard a loud fan of some sort running. Felt more like a warehouse than a pet grooming facility. Fine, as long as they take good care of her. 2) The big dead cockroach in the corner upon entrance should have been a giveaway. Fine, as long as they take good care of her. When my bf brought her back, we noticed she had a deep scratch on her nose. NOT FINE. I understand accidents happen, but why didn't they mention it to us? She's not one to scratch herself or jump/claw at things either (older, suuuper mellow dog). The least they could do was give an explanation, but I called multiple times afterwards and they didn't pick up. I suspect they brushed her too hard and for whatever reason, brushed her nose?! Took her in this past Wednesday (08/28), but she already started smelling by Friday despite her just being home all day in between her short walks twice a day. I've definitely had better service and results. Won't be back. Be careful if you take your dog and always check him/her after you pick your fur baby up! read more

Wow. We've been clients since 2009. Michelle and her team have always cared for my lab gently. They can usually take us on short notice, especially on weekdays. My dog loves going to Paradise. He's happy going in and happy coming out. Prices are reasonable. My dog smells better than my last boyfriend (the one I didn't marry). You can ever be too rich or too thin or too clean. Clean is good. We never intended it...I SWORE it wouldn't happen, but...(don't tell anyone), we let our 65 pound dog on the furniture. He really is a great lap dog and such a cute cuddeler. So, if you're going to have 65 pounds of dog hair in your lap, it's great if he's smellin' good and not leaving 5 pounds of hair behind. Michelle and her team take care of everything, ears, toenails, furminator, flea bath or anti itch shampoo and Boo Boo just loves to visit. We have always had positive experiences here. read more

My wife swears by this groomer, as she had poor results from others from within the San Gabriel area. This location has the history and kindness necessary to handle dogs, and we never had a bad experience. The dogs come home happy and the cut is perfect, especially for our Pomeranian, Rocky, who is our inside guard dog. Some dogs require routine grooming, such as Rocky, so we give him a super short cut so he does not get fur balls. The cut is a puppy cut, and makes him look sooo cool and happy! My Sister has a 30+ pound ball of fluff and claws known as Pushkin. I think Pushkin needs to be declawed but my Sis is not yet convinced. After he stratched me yesterday for the second time I called Paradise Pets. I made sure they'd have 2 Groomers on duty for Pushkin's appointment. My Sis gave Pushkin his sedative 40 minutes before the appointment. Lured him into his carrier with kitty treats. She then hoisted it onto her 4 wheel grocery cart. I then wheeled him around the block to Paradise Pets. I had his handy dandy soft kitty muzzle in my pocket. (Paradise Pets has muzzles available = could tell they've been to this Rodeo before!) They got Pushkin out of his carrier easy breezy Cover Girl and then I whipped on his muzzle. All the while promising him his Kitty Treat future. Less than 20 minutes later with very little, for Pushkin, protest we were back home. We were in and out in under 15 minutes. Soft Paws attached to his front claws and his rear claws were even clipped. Pushkin was so shocked he even forgot to eat the kitty treats that were in his carrier. Course he let me know how he really felt and DARED me to open his carrier door. Fortunately for him Sis was still home and was able to let him out - or he'd still be in his carrier. ;O) Paradise Pets Staff did an amazing job with a HUGE handful of fluff and stuff! Kudos to them for a job well done! I amused myself with their Store Kitty whose pictured. He enjoyed the Greenie Kitty Treats I was allowed to share with him. read more

I'm not sure if they are licensed or know what they are doing but just shave the dog down and that's it. Shaved my dog's eyes to skin and now red, swollen, irritated to the point he can't open his eyes. They just rush to get things done and prob over booked. The pet suffers. I bought my cavachon puppy here for the first time last week for a groom. It seemed nice enough inside and when I picked up my dog she smelled nice and was nicely groomed, putting that aside, when I brought her home I noticed there was something wrong with the way she was walking. Worried about what was causing her to limp, I checked her paws and found that the groomers had cut her nails extremely too short. On one paw there was 3 nails that were cut so deep that they were showing flesh and bleeding. Immediately after seeing this I called the shop to inform them. After speaking to the lady for several minutes, all she had to say was "It's common"...really? because I'm pretty sure my dog is supposed to walk comfortably without pain from a poorly trained groomer who cut her nails into the flesh. The woman was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She didn't even say sorry. Not once. After being on the phone for 10 minutes with her repeatedly saying it was common, I said that I was going to write a poor review on her website by which she commented, "you wouldn't"...well here you go. Out of all the pet groomers I've tried in San Gabriel (which aren't very many, really), I like Paradise Pet Parlor the most... not only because it's walking-distance from my apartment, but they are affordable, knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about my doggies. Wellington is about 10 pounds and Oso is about 18 pounds - Paradise Pet Parlor charges $35 for each dog. They always come home with clean ears, clipped nails, an even trim, and a clean scent. I love Paradise Pet parlor. I have been taking my two lil ones there for as long as I can remember. They are attentive to how I would like their hair groomed. My mom is very particular on how short they cut her Coker spaniel dog's hair. And my poodle terrier is a little rowdy one when in a crowd, paradise per parlor knows exactly what to do to place him in back till I get him so that he doesn't get all anxious and worked up.. It maybe a good grooming store for dogs, but definitely NOT FOR CATS. I made appointment for my two cats @ 8 AM, I thought they should be ready to pick up after couple of hours, however, I was told they won't be ready until 2pm. What's the purpose to have a appointment that early and do nothing for so many hours?? The worst is my cat's hair cut is awful, uneven hair cut for the body, did not cut anything for the tail and legs. I could imagine they just kept them to the last and finished asap, also cost me $120 for the awful job. Compare with my previous experience, this is totally a nightmare for my cats. They were grooming other dogs and because my presence distracted the dogs, the groomers told me to wait outside which is 100 degrees. She told me to wait ouside couple of times and it's just very unprofessional, telling your customers to wait outside in the 100 degree weather. I've always struggled with finding a pet groomer. My old man is 11yrs and just now I finally found the perfect match. They don't over charge. I use to pay 70+ for my corgi and I couldn't believe they were only charging me 35$. I swore I thought once they saw him they were going to charge more especially because I was asking for Brush out (the corgi is supper fury)But they didn't. They are supper friendly. I had some trouble getting my pups out the car lol they came out and assisted. On top of it all they did a really good job...I feel like everywhere I've token my corgi they would give him back still smelling a bit and didn't look fully clean. Not the case here. I just can't stress enough oh amazing this place is. Good priced. Good people. Good job done. I usually shower my pups myself in the summer and to a groomers when it's cold. I went to this grooming parlor based on a friend's recommendation. The place looked clean. It was my first time taking my maltese mix to get groomed. He smelled wonderfully when I came to pick him up. However, when I got home I noticed he was acting differently. Usually he loves going for walks but for some reason he wasn't all that excited about it after he was groomed. I figured out why. He got razor burns on his front legs. I don't plan on taking him back to this groomer. I shouldn't have given her a tip. I also thought it was strange that they closed right after I picked my dog up. It was only 2:15 pm. read more
