I sent the pics, called him back and he confirmed that yep...TV is not repairable. Why am I leaving a glowing review? He didn't get in his vehicle, drive over and charge me $200-400 like some other mobile technicians wanted to. He picked up the phone, was courteous and most important knowledgable, and he was also quick. IF I need mobile TV service, I'm calling Sam. About 1 year ago I dropped my phone and cracked the inside screen. I did not bother to get it fixed. Fast forward to the end of June 2026 and I went on vacation...to the beach...in Florida. I don't know what it was but seeing clear blue water just captivated me. As soon as I get to the beach, I go in the water, with my phone in my pocket. I sat in the water for less than 10 minutes until I realized it WAS in my pocket. At first I thought, 'oh it's okay, my phone is slightly water resistant?' Until I then remembered that I had cracked a screen on the phone the year before making it NOT WATER RESISTANT. I turned the phone on and saw it was working so I shut the screen off. I checked again and my phone had died. In a panic, I went to a nearby market and bought rice and put it in there. Later after checking, it was recommended to NOT do that, but the damage was done. About a week later I finally get home. It would be another week until I start doing research online as to where to take my phone. No matter where I searched, It was recommended to take my phone to GeekIT. Thankfully, I went with my gut based on the research I did. The internals of my phone were corroded from the saltwater, but GEEKIT was able to clean and save my device. Thank you for fixing it and being honest as to what was needed and working with me to get the best possible results that I wanted. GEEKIT helped me dodge a big bullet.

A few days later I received the first of many updates to note they could recover the drives. I dropped off a new in-package (unopened) HD for the destination drive. I communicated this to Cherry Systems through an E-mail in which I also specified that it may not be harddrive related at all, but instead motherboard or video card as it would power on but just show lines on the screen. I received a boiler plate E-mail stating to bring my device to their office for a free initial evaluation, so I did so. Days later I receive a quote from them for $902.10 which stated that 1 of my internal harddrives has physical/hardware failure ($404.70 to repair) and the other two internal harddrives have logical/software failure ($248.70 to repair). I'm tech-savvy and build/fix my own personal computers, but work was paying for this one. I knew the likelihood that all three drives just happened to fail at the same time was astronomical, not to mention it didn't look like a harddrive failure. So I thank them but tell them no, they respond asking me if it is a pricing problem and they can work with me on that if so, to which I kindly rejected. When I picked it up, I asked if they even cover computer repair to which the woman at the front desk said they only focus on harddrive repair. I took the computer to another repair shop, and awaited their diagnosis before posting this review to confirm it wasn't harddrive related. Sure enough, it was motherboard related. instead of paying for system repair, I opted to have the harddrives taken out and encased to become external plug&play harddrives which they successfully did within minutes for $99.97, so I can confirm all of the drives worked without additional repair necessary. Keep in mind, this is the exact end result I would've from Cherry Systems but $800 cheaper. If I accepted Cherry's quote, they wouldn't have even made an attempt at my original request to assess what was wrong with my computer.
