I absolutely dislike doing this type of stuff. I did say my peace over the phone but after few hours dealing with other data recovery companies I believe these guys are pricey. I needed data recovery on my brand new laptop which I purchased for $1200. I screwed up and procrastinated to get a back up drive and didn't feel comfortable using a cloud based company. Anyway, laptop started acting up and I needed to save what I had in it to reset everything back to factory settings. My interactions with Scott were professional, and courteous. The diagnostic was FREE (was told it was two hours to tech time) and Scott did mention that they had data recovery on SSD's that cost $1500. After couple of days I called to find out the outcome and was quoted $1200 to back up my SSD. I have 4.9 gigs total on my pc to be backed up. pretty bad customer service and attitude with a tinge of arrogance. I am VERY tech savvy, know a lot about hard drives, etc., but they treat me like a dummy. My hard drive needed "extra" work, not one of the easy recoveries for them (which they probably make a killing on because those take very little work to recover). They did a half-ass attempt, then told me there was too much damage. But the attitude tells me that they have enough business and don't really need mine. Sent my hard drive to another "nationwide" service, and they also feed off the easy jobs and don't put in the extra work if required. Our video production company had a serious issue. A 4TB hard drive with lots of video footage that wasn't backed up crashed, and we needed it all back safe and sound. After giving us a flat rate guaranteed quote upfront, and an estimated time of around a week, we left the drive and crossed our fingers. Gosh no clue where to start, external hard drive with a lifetime of pictures and no other backups (yeah I know I know... they're backed up in half a dozen places now) crashed. Got quotes from 1000-4000 bucks to retrieve the data. These guys did it in 1 day for about 1/10th that price, now that may not be your typical pricing, but they came in at half their own quote... Could not have been happier. They're aces in my books. Andy, Jon and the entire team have been phenomenal... I brought my 2TB WD hard drive after I realized it had failed and I was no longer able to access data on it. I initially went to Peachtree Computers in Marietta hoping the issue wasn't too bad and that they would be able to recover the data. Turns out the issue was significant enough that they recommended I go to Data Savers. So I went, and they were able to identify the issue pretty much on the spot. The next day, the recovery process was done and the data was ready to go... But they didn't stop there. After I contacted Western Digital to extend the warranty on the drive and ask for a replacement, they personally followed up with WD and helped me to get the support case through. WD took care of the entire cost of the repair, as well as the replacement drive.
