ATL wings is a favorite place when we're craving wings. The service here was friendly and the place was clean. We ordered traditional ATL style wings which is our favorite, beans and bacon and an order of the deep fried biscuits. As always the wings were crispy and delicious! It was our first time trying the beans and bacon and man o man they did not disappoint. Lots of bacon and the beans had a sweet zing. They were perfect. The deep fried biscuits with everything was a must as well. They're like a cross between a fresh donut or sopapilla. They were fabulous. I ordered and combo number 2 and when I got my food it was just a 6 piece no fries. Dawnette charged my wings and drink separate and had an attitude when I asked where my fries were and didn't offer to correct the issue. She had a major attitude as well. Dry rub wings are poorly advertised--not dry rub. I ordered 10 dry rub ATL style wings that were slathered in oil. Like, dripping oil. I needed about 5 paper towels to get them dry enough that they wouldn't taste like an oil bomb. Husband ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and he said it tasted bland. Not to mention, they were blasting music we couldn't even hear each other talk and they had Suicide Squad on tv (which is SO violent with body/guts/blood aka not ideal for watching while eating chicken). I am extremely disappointed I've gone to the one in mesa many times, and I've never been more sad. I took my sister and nephew here. We spent $ 50$ + dollars, and not only was the chicken WAY OVER COOKED but lacked flavor, and the dry rub wasn't really dry. It was greasy and inedible. The Buffalo chicken fries WERE DISAPPOINTING. No cheese on the fries. The fries were dry and soggy. The chicken pieces were crunchy and hard. Way to spicy for not coming with cheese and / or ranch. 2 stars because the wings are actually really good. The place is ran like a freakin circus though. My goodness I don't think I've ever seen such disarray as what was going on in there. It took 46 minutes to get my order. I placed it online at 6:53 and it was promised by 7:10 but it wasn't given to me until 7:56. They don't answer the phone and the massage says for fast service place your order online so I did. I selected ranch and an extra side of hot, didn't get either. They also don't give celery with the wings which I am not knocking them for as that's their thing but over an hour for 12 wings and no ranch or hot that I paid extra for. The guy at the counter seemed extremely overwhelmed but there was only 1 table that had already had their food and 3 guys in front of me placing their order. Sure enough they got their order while I continued to wait patiently for mine. When the counter associate asked my name, I told him and he said "2 minutes"....I waited over 20 only to find out they were sitting on the order table ready to go for that whole time. What a sh** show of a place. It was also the greasiest containers I have ever felt in my life. I had to wipe the piles of grease off before setting them on the table. This place has young people cooking who don't seem to care about the quality of food they serve. I ordered wings and fries to go. When I got home I was SO disappointed in the fries that I received. They were burnt little pieces as if they scraped up the burnt ends from the bottom of the pan .. shameful! So my littlest baby has been dying to try this place out... I personally was in no hurry cuz as we all know I don't eat the meats and from the name alone I knew there wouldn't be too many options for me.
