I required a Tarp after strong winds blew a ton of shingles off my roof. I was immediately contacted by ATI. The Project Supervisor decided that it would be best to come right away to handle the tarp right away due to a big expected rainfall coming. They said they would come on Saturday (In 2-days) at 7:00 a.m. because rain was expected on Saturday and they wanted to beat any rain damage. I heard them begin to arrive at 6:45 a.m. and the crew was fantastic, polite, personable and accommodating in every way. I couldn't praise this team more, including the Supervisor. We had major water damage to our home. Water came from the attic through the second floor down to the first floor. ATI was called out by the AC company who hit the water pipe. They got here within a couple hours and quickly began work. My only complaint here is that ATI did not check the tile for water and subsequently, it had to be removed by another company after still having moisture under the tile 4 weeks later. My review is for the billing department. I called them 2 months ago and asked for a bill so I could pay it. Today, I received an intent to lien letter. No call from ATI prior, no email, nothing. Being that they are generally coming to emergency situations for their customers, you would think that they would have the courtesy to check with you to make sure you have received any such bill or that you don't have any current issues preventing you from paying the bill before they decide that they're going to put a lien on your home. The damage to my home was so significant, that we lost use to 3/4 of our home. To think that I'm purposefully not paying my bill and that I don't have anything else that I'm worrying about right now besides paying your bill is unfathomable. Shame on you ATI. Be a little more courteous with your customers instead of just adding to the stress that they are already dealing with! read more

I can't speak highly enough of the crew from ATI. I was unfortunate to have a fire on my rooftop, but fortunately for me ATI is the preferred vendor of the insurance company and I can see why. From day one, they have been prompt and responsive. I was actually out of the country right after the fire, but corresponded with Nathan, the PM via email and he made me feel like I was in good hands. I met up with Nathan and Hector, another PM and the day I came back and brought me up to speed. ATI quickly produced a detailed analysis of the the repairs needed and emailed them to me The only thing that I initially was upset about is, it took them about 4 months to start the work. But then I found out the reason why is because they brought in an engineer and did a full set of plans and was waiting on approval from the city. I thought this was overkill as the damage was on the surface, but they ended up re framing the entire roof. Being a contractor myself, I completely understand as it was probably the best at the end of the day. Whenever I had a question, they immediately responded either via text, phone or email and if needed, they would schedule to meet me at my house within a day or 2. Well, Unfortunately for me I have had multiple home water damage issues in the last two years. Fortunately for me however, for the last couple I have used the folks at American Technologies, Inc. My insurance company actually recommended them to me in March when I needed water remediation and bathroom repair work done. From the time Kenny (my PM) showed up I could tell that these guys were top notch. Specifically, I want to point out that this last claim I had (right before Christmas) was one that my insurance company denied. This meant I was out of pocket for all expenses. Kenny did an amazing job of helping me to understand what to expect and what was necessary to protect my family. I actually called Kenny directly before I even filed the claim this time because I knew I couldn't trust anyone else. These guys are trustworthy, reliable and they get the job done when they say they are supposed to. I appreciate this because the restoration/mold/water business can be very shady in my past experiences. ATI exhibits none of these qualities and I can't recommend them (or Kenny) more! I couldn't have chosen a better company to get this done. They truly made a disaster in my home that much more bearable. The process began with Mike coming in to do the estimate and he not only offered to allow me to call him at any time with any questions whatsoever. He not only said it, he meant it. There were a few questions I had to come up and he responded quickly and with his expert knowledge. He made me feel as though this could be done at times that were most convenient to me, that right there helped to relieve a lot of my stress . Next, here come Ryan and his team to pack me out. Again, this was done with very little effort on my part and all sorts of effort and action on theirs. Ryan and his team couldn't have been more friendly, professional, courteous, ethical, and hard working. I had to go into the office to drop something off and had the best conversation with Joanne. She was so nice, and fun to talk to. Upon moving back in, I let Ryan and his team in and I had to run a couple of errands. I walked back into my home and they already had my pictures hanging on the wall!! They had put my entertainment center and bar back together, with the bottles and glasses put in the exact same place they were when they packed them up!! They take photographic inventory when they pack out so they can put your home back together just as you left it so there's nothing for you to have to do when you get to go back home. Anyone that has ever moved knows that unpacking is one is the worst parts. Communication was nothing but clear with everyone from the very first meeting with Mike to the very last phone call after everything was said and done. I was not expecting this to go as smoothly as it did and after having the worst dealings with all the different contractors that I had to deal with, it was like ATI came in and saved the day, they gave me hope that not everyone has stopped caring about giving customer service. Updated review now that the job is complete. Overall the experience was typical of every other contractor I've ever dealt with. I don't know if it's just the culture of the industry or what but they are always horrible communicators. Customers have their houses torn up for weeks and it's really frustrating to not have times and dates and follow ups from the project managers. I had to call way way too many times and write a negative review on Yelp to finally get someone's attention. I was contacted by the regional manager Drew who I got the feeling was annoyed he had to look into the problem. At one point I got a "You're killing me" comment. I questioned why the estimate for drywall repair was almost as much to replace the laminate flooring for the entire downstairs of my house. First I was rebuffed, then I was told I was right and they changed it. Then I had to contact Nathan who was the project director who then referred me to call Dan. So it's this big pass off and so many phone calls all the while I waited months with bare concrete floors. Dan was very nice, Tatu the painter was very nice as well...they were great to have here working. Although I'm not 100% happy with all the work. The drywall has some lumps and bumps, there's small things I feel they missed. I will include photos. I should call them back to fix it, but I don't want to have it be months again and I'm just so done dealing with contractors. I'll probably just find someone else to fix the blemishes later. I'm giving 2 stars because they did do the work and complete it (1 star)and I did get a response from the review (2 star), however I cannot justify it as a good experience for these reasons 1) It took way too long in the first place to get anyone to start the work. Too many unreturned phone calls that I had to go up the chain to figure out what was going on 2) The attitude of the Regional manager Drew just left me with a sour opinion. Yea he was helping me...but very begrudgingly. I saw on another review that said Drew was rude. You guys definitely need to have a talk with him about an attitude adjustment. 3) The work was not exceptional. Minus 3 stars so that leaves my review at a 2. Please be more mindful that your customers are living in a torn up home and want it restored in a timely manner. Please treat your work as if it was your own home and experience. If I can give this company ZERO stars for the most unprofessional project director, worse quality work and sham of a reconstruction company ever I had and still have to battle to get my house back to living condition. I had fire damage to my home on October 25, 2017 and it's now April 30, 2019 and I cannot sleep In my own bed in my bedroom. And I had a meeting on Monday April 29, 2019 after they avoided me all this time and my phone calls and emails left unanswered. I met with the most unprofessional and amateur of a person with no communication skills what so ever. He was more like an agitated animal pacing around when he arrived and when the questions were ask from a checklist of unfinished repairs. He rolled his eyes and stormed out of my home. I was beyond in shock and disbelief of this kind of reaction?!! I have two other people who witnessed this rude behavior. Worst construction experience that my family has ever been put through. We've had tons of work done on our home, it was built in 1956. We needed our son's room rebuilt after a pipe burst over his bedroom. Tear down 80% of the drywall, molding, rebuild and paint. Simple, right? Well, with ATI, not so much. Line items that were quoted in the bid were not honored, example: 2 workers for teardown and rebuild 4-5 days for teardown and rebuild Originally there was only 1 worker who did it all. When I asked where the second worker was they said that that work was already done, they only needed him for the drywall hanging, per Dan the manager. Well, they sure didn't take it out of the cost. The guy who they sent out, Tatoo, made the room look worse than it had looked originally. This guy was basically a handy man who did nothing great. bad painting, and drywall hanging. ATI basically had to bring in a new contractor, Len, who was amazing. They had to re-teardown the whole room and redo the entire job. This was after us having to convince Mark Stealey, the ATI project director, through much back and forth, that it looked horrible. The ceiling was uneven, with a huge dip in it, very obvious to the naked eye, except Mark's. As soon as the new contractor walked in he was said, "This looks awful." and he took notice of the huge uneven dip in our ceiling. All in all this job took 2 months! You know, the one that was quoted 5 days? In the end I wanted to renegotiate this deal. They were far more expensive and in their Welcome Customer email it says, and I quote "Serving you is our number one goal and to provide you excellent service at all times.  We are committed to providing you an exceptional customer experience and exceeding your expectations throughout the duration of the project." Well, tgat wasn't a true statement with the Mark and Dan team. Not until I called corporate and left a message for the owner did the anything start moving in the customers favor. In the end they gave us less than 10% off of the job. Like I said, 5 days turned into 2 months. it was our 13 year old son's room and we based on their quote that we were going to get back it before school started. Well, his first 7 weeks of school were rough with no room, and he's in all honors courses, which had an affect on his grades in the begining. In the end, Len made the room right, but giving us less that 10% off of an awful situation that was 100% their doing is unacceptable from such a customer service first company. Back up what you claim ATI. Basically, the WORST customer service and construction experience of our lives. We will never use ATI again or recommend them. We are happy to post pictures to back up everything we're claiming if we're challenged. We hope this is helpful to hard working consumers. read more

We were referred to ATI through a family friend in the aftermath of the Woolsey Fire. Long story short, this company got our family back on our feet. We are a family of 6, and while our house wasn't destroyed by the fire, it was everything but. The back yard and patio burned, the house was so full of smoke you couldn't see your hands, and we had no electricity for a month. Start to finish, ATI was a partner in the process. Their incredible team went beyond just cleaning our house; they literally stayed by our side through the whole process. Up front I should mention that our insurance company didn't immediately contract with ATI. We have good insurance, but they were still in the process of selecting a remediation company when we decided to go with ATI. In the aftermath of a natural disaster, there's an abundance of companies trying to make a quick dollar. In times like that, you want to go with someone you trust. We knew from experience that ATI has a reputation for quality, dependability, and a reasonable cost. From the beginning we knew we made the right decision. ATI assigned a case manager, Andy, who went straight to work on our case. Several times we met (in the middle of the disaster zone) to start planning the recovery. Andy was always a phone call or email away, even during the Holidays and vacation. He was 100% professional and responsive. The communication between us, Andy, and his team was seamless. The actual remediation of our house was a major undertaking. The team lead, Maria Valtierra, worked straight through the Holidays to make our home livable again. She gave us daily updates, cared for our personal belongings like they were her own, and showed genuine concern for our family. They literally cleaned every single object in our house. While many of our neighbors' houses still smell like a campfire, ours was livable from the moment they were finished. Maria and her team worked so hard on our home, and we can't thank them enough. We were able to move back into our home on schedule and on budget. ATI worked closely with our insurance company, and we felt that the overall billing and settlement went smoothly. Stacey, as the account representative, was especially patient and accommodating as we finalized the process. Start to finish, this is exactly what we asked for. We bought a house with mold in the basement. We had a few high-pressure salesmen come out and try to scare the hell out of us. Then Dave Peterson and Rich Campos came out, and they were awesome. They told me that the types of mold I had weren't particularly scary (especially in the concentrations we had) and they gave us a bid significantly lower than the others. All information was given to me along with step by step details regarding the amount of work that would be involved and what time frame I could expect. Kenny Moddy the Project Director: Kenny was professional, informative, understanding, and knowledgeable of the entire process. He let me know if there were any delays that I needed to become aware of and how long each step of the process should take. Kenny responded to all of my questions immediately. If there was any doubt about an object or if she had a suggestion about an item, she discussed it with me and gave me her suggestion. This is my story and I'm sticking to it. (not so condensed version) I bought a microwave from Sears and opted out for the installation and cost. I thought about Plan A and decided it was not a good idea to install microwave myself because it would probably void my extended warranty. Plan B. I called Sears the next day and told them I changed my mind and decided to let their contractors install my microwave. I was given the phone number to call direct. BINGO! Now my secret....I saved $50.00 by not choosing the installation at the time of purchase thus cutting out the middleman's finder fees. VOILA! I had my microwave installed. ALL IS GOOD, I'm a happy camper today. One month later I was tracking ants in my home and noticed they were entering through an outlet on my kitchen wall. Then I noticed water dripping from the bottom corner of my microwave. I was thinking that was very odd as I had not been cooking anything let alone water???? I called my HOA and they sent plumbers out who found a hole in my pipe directly behind my microwave. They asked if I recently had the microwave installed and I said as a matter of fact, yes I did. I called ATI and they were quick to send their men out to inspect the situation. Not only did they inspect the leaky pipe. They repaired it the same day. I thought they did a nice job. They were fast, neat and professional. They offered to refund the cost of installation if I agreed to sign a full release which I did with a warranty of the work provided. STILL TRACKING ANTS LOOKING FOR THE QUEEEN! I moved my oven and for the first time found the water damage had extended down the wall to my floor and there was BLACK MOLD... The time of day was not open office hours so I sent an e-mail explaining what I had discovered. I received a phone call from BROCK ARDNT that very next morning. He asked if I would be home and that he wanted to take a look and evaluate my water damage. BROCK ARDNT came by and wanted to assure me that the mold was minimum and he could treat it and eliminate any further mold from developing. I watched him methodically cutting the drywall away at the bottom in order to treat it properly. I'm very happy when a plumber (worker) gets the job done right the first time. Not only did he disinfect the holes in the wall he cut out drywall and reinforced it with wood behind it so all I need to do is spackle and paint it. My HOA informed me the plumbers who initially cut the hole were not responsible to fix it. WAIT there is more! BROCK ARDNT brought to my attention my microwave was not within a legal range measuring the space between the burners to the bottom of the microwave. BROCK already going beyond what I expected from ATI offered to cut the cabinet around my microwave to raise it by 4 inches. How could I say no? BROCK ARDNT and his helper did an EXCELLENT JOB in finishing the leaky pipe water damage and I could not be any happier. I can rest assured that ATI ARE QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS who do excellent work and are committed to their customers being completely satisfied with a job well done. Initially discovered I had some asbestos popcorn ceiling throughout our new place that needed to be removed. Got connected with David Peterson at ATI who was great. He walked me through everything and was patient with all my questions. They did such a great job I went back to David to get all my HVAC ductwork removed that had asbestos around it. Every time I needed something done David was able to schedule it quickly and get the job done. Asbestos removal isn't something you want to cut corners with and these guys do it right. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. I was desperate and received this company as a referral. I called and initially, they were helpful. They did arrive for the "inspection and estimate" they agreed upon, however, the person that was supposed to be there did not show. Instead, I was told that his partner would show and he did, but he was 1 hour late. The inspection took place and it was agreed the job would be done the following day at 8AM. Later that first day, I received a call and email explaining that the job could not be done as agreed upon that Tuesday but instead, would be done on that Wednesday. I told Mike that it would be very difficult for my client and that I would have to make special arrangements through various individuals including my client. I did and was able to make arrangements so that they could do the job on that Wednesday. It was confirmed. It was confirmed multiple times and I explained the importance of the firm date and that if not done, my client would suffer great property losses. The day for which the job was scheduled (that Wednesday) I received an email at about 8AM merely stating that "the boss" said they would not and could not do the job. That was all. I contacted Mike and again informed him that it would be very difficult and costly for my client but, again, I was told they would not do the job PERIOD. I then asked for any assistance including other referrals for the known emergency. I was given two names neither of which did the work needed. I asked for any other assistance, and was giving one last option and told "that is all I have". That company also did not offer the specific service I originally needed for my client. My client was left in an impossible situation and incurred a dramatic penalty due to their failure to do the original work they promised to do. While no formal contracts were ever entered, there were multiple written and oral promises that they WOULD do and COULD do the work. My client was left to scramble and ultimately did find a terrific company that did the job but due to the fact that it was then an emergency, paid far more than if she had originally just been told they could not do the job. Instead, by relying on the promises that were left unfulfilled, she was damaged. read more

Wanted to thank ATI and all the people involved in helping with my home repair. I can't say enough about the ATI staff, super professional, clean, prompt and diligent are some of the words that best describe my experience with them. I dealt a lot with Hector Echiveste, I believe he was the field manager handling our repair. I felt him to be very attentive to the specific needs of our situation and always made sure the work was done the right way. To finalize I wanna add that Hector was very easy to talk to and he's guys were very clean and respectful.For that reason I give ATI 5 stars, I feel that they are well represented by their employees and why not take the time to recognize that. We had a leak in the kitchen that gave mold a chance to establish under the kitchen cabinets. My wife called ATI. Mike came out, explained everything in complete detail in terms my wife and could understand. He scheduled some guys to come out and remove parts of the cabinet to determine the extent of the mold. Tony and Guy were clean and professional, did their job and cleaned up after themselves. Let me tell you, that is hard to find with contractors! Mike took care of scheduling all the required testing and samples. The guys work passed moisture requirements first time with flying colors. Mike talked us through the process of "what happens next" every step of the way. They were very thorough & professional in their work, cleaning & taking inventory. They provided updates, recommendations & were very, very helpful.
