We just bought an older home in Simi Valley that needed some TLC. So glad we called Mike and Ron to help us with our whole duct replacement. Very professional, honest and knowledgeable. Mike gave us a timeframe of completion and exceeded that so we were only without the air/heat for one night. They also installed a new vent for us in our living room, cut new lines, replaced some vent covers, closed one that wasn't even hooked up and made it so our daughters room gets better air flow. AND We spoke with Mike about getting insulation installed later this year so he made sure to install the ducts where there is room for insulation, he also offered to call the company and let them know what to do around the duct work. They are a small business and they run it themselves. Mike answers the phones and does the work along with his dad Ron. Mike is also coming back to help us change a vent this Friday (which he didn't need to do, but offered to because they are amazing) They went above and beyond and have gained a customer for life. I can't recommend Alpine highly enough! AC wasn't cooling efficiently. Had Mike come out. He cleaned the fan. He also said I needed to replace the filter, and explained the reason that the water was pooling on the garage floor was because the overflow pump was burnt out. I indicated I would be willing to purchase and replace the filter and pump myself. He was totally happy with me doing the work myself, (even though it meant less work and money for him). And he even explained exactly what to buy and how to do it, and only charged me for the very affordable service call and cleaning. I while later, I finally got around to replacing the pump, but then HVAC wouldn't turn on. He said he could come out, but it wouldn't be for a day-and-a-half (it was a heatwave, things were busy). But he helped me troubleshoot and identify the problem, and the minor error I had made, over the phone. And told me where to buy the fuse I needed to replace. Again saving me $, and no charge on his part. I wish every handy-person was this helpful and honest. As I said above, I can't recommend Alpine highly enough! read more

I called another Simi Valley competitor out to look at my old furnace. They sent out a helper, said there was nothing they could do a quoted me a ton of money to replace the whole system. My system has everything but the furnace new but they never looked. When I explained that to them I was quoted a slightly lower price. I sent them on their way and called Alpine. The competitor called back with a third lower price to fix the system. My AC was working and blowing cold air but was dripping water into the furnace closet. Quite a bit of water. Called Alpine since they had done some work for my wife at her business and provided great service. I left a VM and Mike called me back right away. After discussing the issue with him he diagnosed that it was likely a clogged drain line. Simple to correct but unfortunately his earliest availability was more than a month out. That was too long to wait so he recommended another HVAC service company. The company he pointed me to came out and had it working in less than 24 hours. Awesome customer service. Making sure I got my problem fixed even when he wasn't going to make anything from it is exactly what I want from the people I do business with. Tried changing the thermostat on our AC but failed. Called Alpine and father and son came in the next couple of hours. They checked the problem and said that I blew up the fuse, replaced it, and installed the new thermostat. I also asked them to check on another problem with my AC since it was not cooling the house. They checked the refrigerant and it was low so they topped it off. However same problem occurred, I called them again. Mike came over to check it out and after finding out details of the AC, he advised me to call the installer to have it checked out since it is a new home and we still have warranty on it.
