One of my Cartersville lunch favorites. The memorabilia on the walls is eclectic and fun to look at and there is always great (loud) music and shows on the TV's. The staff is always kind and prompt to service. The backroom is finally back open so the wait to be seated at lunch has been minimized. I switch back and forth between the various salad offerings and the black bean wrap. The homemade chips offered for a side are incredible. The nachos are generously portioned and will easily feed 3-4 people. Definitely enjoy Ate Track as a go-to lunch spot in downtown Cartersville. read more

Took the family here one Saturday and stood inline waiting for the restaurant to open. Once we got to the front to be seated we were advised that they don't have highchairs or buster seats...ummm, we have an 11 month old. What an ITP place that is way OTP! The atmosphere is one of a kind! We sat at the bar picking out which radio our parents and grandparents had. Funky all the way down to their wine glasses! To begin with the place is loud and the seating isn't comfortable. I get the vibe they are going for. Our waitress was nice but clearly inexperienced. I order the roasted beet salad and asked if they could chop my salad. The waitresses said no problem and asked if I'd like to add chicken. My answer was yes and asked if I could please have it on the side (I don't care for hot proteins on my greens). My salad came out with hot chicken on top and PICKLED beets. Flipping disgusting, also the vinaigrette served was soured. Minus the beets, which I do like roasted and asking for a plate for the chicken, the salads was ok. Good portion. This is a highly anticipated sister of the Appalachian Grill in downtown Cartersville. There is great outside seating available, weather permitting. The dining area is surprisingly cozy maybe seating for 30 -35 including the bar. Decor is a throwback homage to the 70's with many old 8 track players and vintage amplifiers on the walls and album covers and posters on the ceiling. Think classy college dorm. Food today was fish and shrimp tacos and were excellent. Diners nearby had burgers and raves about them. The menu is surprisingly eclectic and has a lot of potential. Chef/Owner Jackie was in the kitchen today and was greeting patrons. Will be a return visit soon. read more

I don't know if it was the owner of the business or a manager, but when you are screaming at employees and being extremely rude to them in front of customers, do not expect people to want to come back. I'm more than willing to wait for food and be patient for service. I'm not willing to witness abuse of power. Disgusting behavior. We decided on this place after my 17 year old son's baseball game. All the parents were seated in the patio and all the boys were instructed by management to sit in the 2 or 3 tables on the sidewalk. Quickly the owner came out to the boys and got in my son's face because his chair was outside some imaginary line on the sidewalk. He claimed that he would lose his sidewalk seating arraignment that he had with the city. We respect rules first of all but this guy was over the top and was combative from the start. My son moved his chair about 6 inches and then he came back out and started the entire conversation over and then went back into the restaurant. We decided to go into the restaurant and get clarification and he proceeded to get in my wife's face and bumped into her claiming we were violating some city ordinance. He then proceeded to challenge my 17 year old son to fight him. This guy is a total douche bag. If you want to enforce a city ordinance you should have tape, paint, chain or a short fence to regulate the rule. read more

Went for a drive to find a new place to eat and ended up in Cartersville. Not being overly familiar with area I got on Yelp and searched for restaurants. Picked Ate Track because I like puns as much as the next guy. I'm glad I picked this place. Loved the vibe of the place! Despite other reviews here I didn't think the music was too loud, it was just right. The food was fantastic!! Ordered fish n chips. You can tell a lot about a bar by its fish n chips. Ate Track is top notch. Wife ordered the tequila chicken. Said it was great. She said the green beans were the best she had ever eaten. I tried them and agreed. I crave this place in Michigan, so whenever I visit I make a point to stop here! Love the food, the brews and the hard rock music! Tonight I had the grilled shrimp with beans and rice. It's a very light dish that went down smooth with a Kona brew! The two shrimp tacos had an amazing avocado sauce. You can get a third taco but for me two was just enough. This is currently my favorite restaurant. They have the coolest decor and the food is delicious. I've had their Monterey Chicken Sandwich and I've had their burgers and both are delicious. This place is great. I am a new visitor to Cartersville, but this was a nice introduction. It has a great rock vibe without being off-putting or cheesy. The food was very very good; a lot of thought and care went into the southwest chicken bowl I ordered, I would absolutely order it again. The cook (who turned out to be the owner) came out and checked on our food, as did our server Winter who took great care of us, and I never once could even come close to having one complaint about the place. Got there at 5 pm on a Wednesday evening with hardly anyone in the restaurant or outside. Walked in and asked for a table for 4. They asked if our whole party was there but our friends weren't there yet so they said "we can't seat you until your whole party is here." Was ridiculous because it was empty, but we went and waited in our car. While sitting in the car, I had the window rolled down And watch them seat a woman at a table by herself, with a 2nd menu across from her. When the server came up, she said "oh, they're parking." As soon as the server left, the person got on the phone and said " How long before you get here?... I told him you were parking." So I went back in and said " You just told us that you would not seat our party because not everyone was there, but then you sat this woman and her party wasn't with her." One of the girls at the Host stand said "oh, she said they're parking so we went ahead and sat her." I said, "but is she here?" To which the host said "well, she said she was parking so we went ahead and sat her." And I replied with "so you make an exception for some people but not others...". To add insult to injury, our party showed up like three minutes later... mind you... BEFORE the other person that was "parking" ever got there...and then they told us it would be a 15 minute wait for a table. There were empty tables inside that were never sat the entire time that we waited... And when they finally sat us 10 minutes later... it was at one of the 3 empty tables that never had anyone sitting at them. Can't say I'd return with those kind of business practices and blatant making up the rules as you go along. read more

This cool, funky bar and grill pays homage to 60's rock and roll and even features a wall of old 8-track tape players. It's a playful concept that's executed well. To say they feature bar food doesn't fully explain their menu. It's more expansive than the typical vision of bar food with interesting twists like fish tacos, pimento cheese burger, and goat cheese grit cakes. I ordered fish and chips, four plump pieces of fish and shoe string potatoes and it tasted terrific. I'm not a huge fan of shoestring potatoes, though. They're so tiny you don't get a great French fry taste. It also seems a little cheap, like they're trying to save money by offering a tiny fry. For something retro, why not try a crinkle cut fry. Nevertheless, I loved everything about Ate Track Bar and Grille. Service was prompt and friendly. Ate Track is an unexpected, delightful find in Cartersville. read more

Really trendy bar... so there was a group of 18 of us that just took over the bar area. The bartenders were fun and the food all looked really good. We ordered the chips trio which had salsa which nobody really ate much of, queso which just seemed to disappear because of how good it was and some of the best quac I have had in awhile! I then had the tequila chicken with green beans and spinach. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is the dishwasher gave our group dirty looks because he had to say excuse me to get by and we took up too much room by the kitchen exit. read more

Wife and i came here for a date afternoon, and enjoyed the food and ambiance of the square. The train came by right when we sat down outside, which was funny as it was about as loud as you can be and yet we couldn't drown out the 80s hairband rock! Wife got chicken tenders, thick and juicy and with some seasoning in the batter, and i got a thick and juicy burger. We both enjoyed the meal and being able to sit outside in February and it being 80 degrees lol! Will be back! read more

So I can't honestly speak on their food. My husband had about their peanut butter pie. Our friends from TN had ate there and loved it. So we where headed up to TN and wanted to surprise them with a pie. We asked if they sold a whole pie which we knew would be pricey but like I said it was a surprise. The waitress said yeah let me go ask my manager. The manager/owner came and said we just don't do that. I pay $30 for a pie and if I sale it to y'all I lose money. Then he said something about $60 and my husband said ok $60 is fine. Then the guy said oh no I can't sell for $60 I would still lose money and then proceeded to say what y'all don't know how a business works? What a great surprise! We ate there Sat evening and the food was really good! So many things looked good on the menu we ended up splitting 4 things. First we had the Spicy Fried Pickles, nummy! This 70s-styled place sports the owner's massive collection of retro posters, lamps, beer signs, clocks, and stereos, all of which are a blast to look at. The pleasant surprise is the quality of the food. Every dish I've tried in the two years I've been dining here has been tasty, plentiful, and fun to eat. There are grits-based fusion dishes along with top-notch burgers. The salads are superb, especially the one with salmon, served with a generous portion of grilled fish. Went for a Saturday drive to Cartersville to try this bar for lunch. Wanted to sit on outdoor patio, but glad we ended up inside. Fun decor, loved the music playing and enjoyed a Candi Corn Martini. Started off with Parmesan chips before the main course of black bean wrap. Service was outstanding and waitress made excellent suggestions. Portions were more than enough.
