Horrendous customer service. We have been trying to cancel a 3rd line that we never authorized to…read morebe placed and AT&T has refused to do so. We have ended up terminating our service with them and moved our business to T-Mobile. Went in today and the gentleman working there refused to assist us, saying we had to call "611" to cancel. "611" directed us to terminate our service by going in directly. We explained this to him and when we asked for his managers info he responded saying that he did not feel comfortable giving that information to us. We asked for a card and he just gave us the store card with no manager information. Beyond frustrating!

During the upgrade he told me that AT&T required that we be signed up for both the Next plan and Protection plans, and we could only opt out after completing the phone trade in. Fast forward a couple days and I went in to another AT&T location to do the trade in only to find out that this is absolutely not true. While they could immediately remove the protection plan, now that I was signed up for the Next plan, I would have to wait several weeks before having to jump through a bunch of hoops to remove it. I do not appreciate lies and the extra work and frustration this will cause. I will definitely not be back to this location again, and I would strongly urge anyone reading this to go to another location as well. Also as a note, this is apparently a third party AT&T store. The locations at Washington Square, Bridgeport, and Tanasbourne Village are official locations that should not pull any of the tricks I experienced.

I just had an extremely frustrating experience trying to get my computer fixed here. After assuring…read moreme it was fixed, I took it home only to find that it still had the issue. Then they promised me that another fix would work, so I brought it in a second time, only to be told that they had to order the part, which would be there Saturday. I planned on coming in Saturday, but the part didn't come until Tuesday. They assured me I could come in on Friday at noon and it would be fixed in 1-2 hours. I got a call at 5:15 pm telling me it was all finished, too late for me Friday. So, I came in today, Saturday (my 6th trip to the shop) feeling assured that I had finally reached the finish line. Only to find that, in spite of the Friday evening call telling me it was all ready, that they had not fixed it at all! Very inconsiderate lack of communication. The only redeeming part of the experience is that they gave me a full refund. But, here I am at square one again with a broken computer, after 3 weeks and 6 separate trips to the shop.

Took it to someone else as I had trouble opening the drive for the backup. Took it for an opinion....told it wasn't done well. Went back to explain what I was told. Very rude again!! Switched to Consumer Cellular (CC) when I learned my previous mobile service provider (ATT) was…read moresupporting OAN (One America Network). The wireless service is through the same towers as ATT, but for about half the cost. That cost differential comes up in their customer service. My blood pressure always rises when I call their customer service team. I don't want to bore the reader with too many details, but when I tried calling for confirmation of some details I was told to enter my 4- or 6-digit security code. I was flummoxed; I hadn't set a security code. Trying the usual codes I use, I was greeted with a system response that they couldn't find that code and to try again. After the 3rd or 4th iteration their VRU (voice response unit) finally told me I could say "I don't know it", which I did. When I finally got in and connected, their customer service agent said now we're going to set up a security code. I was annoyed that they modified their processes to require a security code without telling their customers. How hard would it have been to include a note in our bills that this change was coming and to be prepared the next time we called customer service? Doesn't anyone think about how these changes will affect their customers before those changes are implemented? If you never have to call their customer service team, you might be satisfied with their service.

The savings (I just discovered) is $1.00 a month. AARP is $16.00 a year. NO savings at all! 2) I just bought a new phone and a screen protector. The screen protector I received is flawed. They do not do refunds for those. I paid $21.00 for it - thinking they would have a higher quality product. I was wrong. Do not purchase this unless you go to astore and have them put it on before you purchase it and see that it works. I will not be giving them a good review going forward. I'm very disappointed. Shame on you Consumer Cellular.
