Had a great experience in here thanks to the Sales Manager, Matt. I came in looking to compare pricing after finding a competitive open-box deal on a 65" TCL QM7 at Best Buy. I figured they might be able to work with me on the price of a new one and I was correct! I got a great deal for a brand new one that wasn't much more expensive than the open-box one. Matt was super knowledgeable generally about TVs as well, along with their soundbar options. I have been shopping for a TV for almost a half a year. Waiting for some sales near Labor Day. And normally I would buy my TV at Costco. But I decided to give a video only try. I met Cyle Wood. I think he's the manager and a great salesman. He took quite a bit of time to explain the differences of each TV that I was interested the quality in the technology. And then he applied some of his personal opinions, which I greatly appreciate It. Cyle went out of his way to extend every possible good price and service to me. They really do have much cheaper prices. Here is some of why. They don't have their own installers so they will connect you with a company that will charge you but something to think about if you want help it might be cheaper or somewhat easier to deal with at at Best Buy one group to deal with. We decided to install on our own so much better deal here. It's not a fancy showroom with chairs etc. it has fluorescent lighting and old peace meal carpet and framed full of TVs. Fine with me if the savings are passed on to me. The sales guy was nice and not pushy but once we did decide he wanted to lock in the deal that day but still understood when we still wanted to wait. We came back on a day he worked and finished it up and are happy with our purchase. read more

I will never shop video only again, I just had the worst experience with them I bought a TV on Saturday, they wanted to charge me 140 for delivery and set up. Fine, my son has experience, I brought the TV home, it sat in box until today. My son set it up, it wouldn't turn on Discovered the in switch was not there. Took it back, the guy that willingly happily sold me the TV on Saturday, blatantly accused my son of stripping the power button off the TV, told me I was lying, basically, and we unboxed it Saturday, he was very rude and disrespectful to both my son and I. Told my son he would show him how to turn TV on. They finsll6 exchanged it, I made them take it out of the box to make sure everything worked. My TV is finally set up. I'm complaining to attorney general, bbb and corporate. I will never step foot on their property again read more

Visited the Canyon Road, Beaverton, OR location for an 48" OLED TV, without much prior up-to-date knowledge or info apart from Consumer Reports. Matt expertly directed us to a Samsung model with an excellent picture and what turned out to be an excellent value. For a modest fee, Grant and Jackson of the Jantzen Beach location delivered and set up the TV two days later, explained the features and how to use accessories, and took away the old, much heavier TV. I thought I'd shop at a local store instead of Amazon/Costco. I very much regret that now. I bought a TV, opened the box, it didn't really work in the space so I packed it up. But utter coincidence later that week a friend gave me their old 55" that did the trick. I took the (larger, new) TV back to Video Only (packed up like new with the protective plastic and foam bits attached as they were never removed) and it turns out *all returns are in-store credit only* if the box has been opened. So I left the new TV there and they kept my cash. I'm out ** $650 ** and have nothing to show for it. I guess I'll write them a letter to ask for a refund or try to contact Visa and see if they'll help. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20 but I'd have gone with Amazon/Walmart/Costco or some place with a return policy (just to be safe) if I'd only known this. read more

It depends what level of TV you are looking for but if it is medium to higher end this is an excellent place to check out. I shopped Costco, Best Buy, Amazon and all the Samsung models I was looking at were all around $530 or higher. Video Only sold me a 2020 model for $435. Not only was the price very good but the salesman was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the TV and applicable technology. I typically do not write reviews, but my experience at Video Only Beaverton blew me away. The experience starts with a simple phone call; Matt answered promptly. I was looking for a 65" LG C9 OLED (2019 version), which they had sold out of. However, Matt asked all the right questions and had all the answers to mine, and hooked me up with a 65" LG CX OLED, which suited my needs perfectly. Just this past week, I went back to Matt for a matching sound bar, and a recommendation for mounting services. I am in sales myself; Matt and his team make the experience a RELATIONSHIP vs. a transactional sale, which I admire. No pushy sales tactics whatsoever; the ball is in your court. When I worked at Costco I used to bullshit A LOT when people asked me about TVs and the like. Best Buy sales people have gotten better, but they still do not compare to the Video Only guys. I spoke with a sales guy who has worked there for TWELVE YEARS. Holy hell, that's half my life. He might've had some gray hairs at the temples, but he was still young. And he knew his shit. He was tapping and dragging on screens to show me how much of a beating they can/can't take. Seriously? I fell in love with a 42" Panasonic with an option to switch to 3D. SWEET TV. If you get a Panasonic, no need to get the warranty. They're currently #1 in the industry for least repairs and they have great lifespans - although they're plasmas. read more

Highly recommended. In looking for a new OLED TV, I read all of the reviews online and then came to the decision of where to buy it. A friend recommended Video Only, and he was spot on. The store has a solid selection, great service, and prices comparable or better than Best Buy or Amazon. Randy Baker helped us. We experienced no sales pressure, and he asked us about the size of our living room, lighting, etc. and reminded us that any TV would look much larger at home versus the showroom. Although I was a little disappointed that they weren't doing trade-in credit at the time, the staff were willing to work with me to figure something out. And I don't normally pay that much more than I budget. But Tom went with me to each TV and was willing to give me a decent offer to compliment my predicament. And considering it looked like I was the last person to come in that night, everyone was supportive and helpful... also a little bored. I've purchased several televisions from them and I always enjoy going in to see more models on their walls than I do at any of the other local retailers. Cyle has been especially helpful and while he may have "enlightened" me on the features of a higher end model of the TV I was looking for in the end I made the decision to go big and I got a great set for a very competitive price. I was skeptical about the (somewhat aggravating) commercials claiming that the prices were as good or better than the box stores, etc. I can not only confirm the prices are outstanding, but that the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I spent an hour with Cyle Wood (spelled with a "C") who explained in detail the specs, differences, caveats, and gotchas with a number of TV's. These are big purchases, and I walked away with a fantastic 65" set that works for my layout at home, for a great price. Whatever they pay Cyle isn't enough. Let me start with, I am not someone who leaves reviews and I even downloaded the Yelp app just so that I could review this store. I called them because my parents bought a smart TV from them 7 years ago and I believe they threw away the remote after they bought it and only used their Direct TV remote all these years and when I was trying to help them connect their smart TV to the Internet for the 1st time I had great difficulty because I did not have the TV remote. I called the store and I talk to Randy and he was most helpful and told me to come down to the store and he would set me up with a Samsung remote that would work for my parents TV at no charge! Being in the middle of COVID-19 it was nice to see a place was open to compare TVs. Getting there they had a sign on the front door reminding customers to maintain social distancing. As soon as we stepped inside it was a very different story. They did not monitor the amount of people allowed in the store. Aisles were narrow, and 90% of the customers were not wearing a face covering of any sort. Even worse, the salesman were constantly right in our faces. Not a single employee was wearing a mask, and showed no respect for social distancing. If I took a step back from a salesman, he would just as quickly close the gap. While it was a busy day, the sales guy couldn't have been more rude or demonstrated an unwillingness to help. Too many other options out there, I'd recommend against this one. I came in Video Only to see what offers they had during the holiday. I was greeted by the friendly staff, Tom B. He asked what I was looking for. I answered, just browsing around. I browse and couple of minutes later, he showed up to asked me if I had any questions. I had several questions on OLED vs. QLED. I was afraid about burn in on OLED. He guaranteed that the new OLED technology TV will not have burn in if I watch news or the same channel each day. I don't play game so he said I should be good. Tom was very helpful on explaining the difference features between LG OLED, Sony OLED, and Samsung QLED. Tom was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions. Tom showed all the TV prices across other competitors: Amazon, Costco, & Best Buy. Video Only has the cheapest price offer with the same TV model. I end up buying two TVs. Worked with Tom, and it was a great experience. Purchased the brand new 65" LG OLED C-1 and he was able to get me the best price in town. Beat Best Buy's sale price, even! Didn't have to go to Costco to get last year's CX model, just to get a great price. No pressure at all. I would absolutely make this purchase from the store, again. Actually I already did. The last set I bought was a 40" Sony back in 2006, and I bought it from this store. Costco prices look appealing, but give these guys a chance, they can usually work a very competitive deal. I recommend everyone I know to go to Video Only when they're in the market for a TV for simply for one reason: It is the cheapest price in town. They will negotiate on prices so it's even cheaper than Amazon. Still, I have mixed feelings about Video Only. I've gone into this location often when thinking about getting my two TVs and, most recently, with my friend who was TV shopping. I went several times when I bought my TVs. The employees are commission-based, which is nice since that means they will negotiate on the price. But I also think it leads to being ignored or treated poorly if you're not a stereotypical buyer. I have noticed when I walk in with a girlfriend, we're either ignored, slow to be served or grudgingly served. Yet, when I walk in with my husband I usually get prompt service. read more

Tonight I went to video only to "look" at the LG 55" B6A oled tv that I have been researching for the past month. I showed Chuck 2 online adds selling the tv for $250. cheaper. Chuck smiled and said, can I show you something. He pulled up both companies consumer and BBB reviews. They were both terrible! He said we see this ALL the time and smiled. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions. I left with the upgraded LG 55C7P, a 4K ultra HD blue ray player, 5yr warranty AND 3yrs 0 interest financing. All of this for LESS than the price of the tv ONLY at Costco!!! The closest customer service I've had to this is when I purchased my Porsche. If you go to Video Only, you'll be sorry. The service is terrible, the return process is crap, and they really couldn't care less about you as a customer. No one talks to you, and if you want a return, you have to wait at least a week. Paid in cash? Too bad. They'll send you a check in the mail. (IN THE MAIL. Who does that?) What a terrible experience. Just purchased a 65" 4K TV today and couldn't be happier. After doing a bit of research online decided to go to video only and compare the tv's side by side. I was greeted by Tom who was very helpful and friendly and gave me great advice. I was planning on purchasing the Samsung as I have been happy with my Samsung tv for the past 6 years but after comparing the Samsung to the equivalent LG panel my mind was made up to purchase the LG. My girlfriend and I went to this Video Only while visiting her family in Portland. This Video Only was a huge step up from the one in Tukwila for the sole reason that the sales person we dealt with was not as annoying as the guy in the Tukwila Video Only. We ended up buying a 52" Sharp LED there because we saved so much on 1) The TV, and 2) A new Blu-ray player, and 3) Taxes The sales guy worked with us and discounted us as low as he could. Our TV retailed at 1,599.99 at Video only but was on sale for 1,399.99. At BestBuy and other stores, the average price has been about 1,699.99. We bought it at video only for, get ready for this... 1,099.00. It wasn't used and it was already on sale but we got it for way cheaper. I am a bit of a tightwad. No, I'll admit it. I have a hard time spending money on major purchases. So, if I drop several hundred dollars and 9 months later am still thrilled with my purchasing decision, you get 5 stars. And a glowing review on Yelp, apparently. Here we go: Post-Christmas, flush with the giving spirit but not so much with money, BF and I wander into Video Only one evening. We'd wanted to get each other something cool, then kinda ran out of money buying stuff for others, so 3 days after Christmas we decided to buy a big present together as a gift for each other and let's be honest, for ourselves. And after looking at ads and other stores, we thought we'd try Video Only in our quest for what we referred to as "ABigAssTV." The saleswoman, whose name I wish I could remember, was lovely and helpful and not pushy at all. When she realized we were serious in our interest, she asked helpful deciding questions about what types of programs or movies we usually watch, energy consumption concerns, etc. She stayed nearby but not so nearby that we couldn't talk quietly amongst ourselves. We retreated to a corner, had a little private chat -and then, confident in our decision, signed on the line and bought our BigAssTV, a 50" LG for an AMAZING price. No really, we got such a sweet deal. Pays to haggle a little, you know? We are so pleased. Movies look cool on it, football looks GREAT on it, and energy consumption is no more than our outdated Sanyo was. But this isn't a review of the TV. Video Only approached us in exactly the right way - helpful, informative, present but never pushy - and sold us a great TV that is perfect for us, at an even better price. 3 reasons to buy at Video Only 1) they move HUNDREDS of TV's a month, the high end television that I bought from them last week was built overseas in OCTOBER, like 5 weeks before I bought it. I doubt many places move product this fast, and you don't have to worry about your purchase being outdated firmware, or versions. 2) They will negotiate on price. Check Amazon, and that's more or less what you can get them down to on any item. 3) They are local, have great customer service and you get to go home with your new toy TODAY, and if you need to take it back, you can take it back TOMORROW without shipping it. Roan at Video Only was great. I went in to scope out what I was looking for as I as moving from a basic square box into the world of HD/Blue-Ray/and sound systems. Roan was helpful in guiding me towards a system that would be appropriate for the size of the room and my budget. I really appreciated his positive attitude and willingness to educate me about the electronics. (I went in one day when he wastn't working to confirm stock for a weekend delivery and another salesperson tried to help me . She was horrible and I finally told her that she clearly wasn't interested in helping me and I would come back when Roan was there). I returned on the next day that Roan was working and everything went smooth. I appreciate that they focus on TV and related equipment.
