Walked in and the store was clean and appealing. I had to wait maybe 5 minutes because the 3 employees were helping 3 other customers--no worries, first come, first served, right? I came in because the case to my smartphone was falling apart and I got it less than a year ago, and I wondered if they would replace it for me. They didn't have that exact model, but they replaced it (without cost to me) with a sturdier model! Awesome! They even cleaned my phone. My experience with AT&T stores over time is that the employees tend to be chatty, but it's not annoying chatty (like Starbucks, sorry Starbucks, but I don't really want to tell you if I'm doing something fun today, especially since I'm just going to work, so RUB IT IN!!), it's more like interested chatty, like commenting on things you mention. While there, they also changed the name on my account (I got married 6 months ago and just never got around to it) AND--I happen to be going on a trip out of state to a very cold place this weekend, and they happened to have some awesome gloves (which double as texting gloves) on a SUPER CHEAP sale. I'm sure original prices are always marked up, but one pair of gloves was originally $35 and the other was $70, but I got the pair for $10!!! So yay! read more

Where to begin? I would prefer to think that what happened here was simply gross incompetence rather than malfeasance but honestly I'm not sure that it wasn't a little of both. On Saturday 12 September, my husband and i visited the AT&T store at 2930 Commercial St SE in Salem, Oregon, and i ordered a new iPhone 18 Pro Max in Glacier (light blue, 256gb of storage. However, the assistant manager who helped us failed to order the correct iPhone so the one i received on the 18th was wrong. Wrong color, wrong phone model. Then, when i had to return to the store once AT&T sent me the confirmation email showing their error(s), a brand new employee jumped into the conversations and said that they would set aside a phone of the correct color, model, and storage capacity if one got shipped to the store, which apparently the seasoned store staff knew to be wrong but didn't correct him. Prior to revisiting the store on Wednesday 16 September to correct their mistake, my husband, also an AT&T customer, and i decided to take advantage of the BOGO on Apple Watch 12s that AT&T was promoting. (Resolution on that still forthcoming.) So the 18th of September arrived and the new phones did too. My husband, who had had the wherewithal to order online and eliminate the possibility that the store staff could wreck his order, got the phone he had ordered, which as it turned out was the same color, model, and storage capacity that i had ordered in store for my own. He got his iPhone 18 Pro Max in Glacier, 256gb storage. But instead of me getting one of the same, the store staff had botched the order and i was sent an iPhone 18 Pro, in Silver, 256gb storage. Wrong model, wrong color. Which precipitated a return to the store to get them to undo their mistake. Which they did gladly, right? Of course not. The store...'manager'?...suddenly injected himself into the conversation and tried to explain away their mistake and to placate the implacable. Instead of showing any measure of empathy for the hassle and bother his staff had put us through and rather than offer any sort of recompense for their mistake, the time and trouble we incurred due to their errorS, he turned distinctly hostile and refused to offer any sort of reparation or even apology for the time, effort, and frustration they had caused. What they did do was to activate the phone they had sent to me in error and allow me to use it while i wait - up to several weeks while the phone they were supposed to send me arrives - once again putting the onus of having to deal with them and the drawn out process of getting what i told them i wanted when i first walked into their store and reiterated repeatedly throughout the initial ordering process. And to be clear, dealing with THEM is the more intolerable part because all else is just technology but poor performance and bad customer service is a choice, a choice made by the store manager, store assistant manager, and other staff. And since the store manager was the one leading their poor performance, my experience in customer service management from store manager all the way to division vice-president, is that bad behaviors among staff are a reflection of bad behaviors in management and this store manager was certainly coaching his team on how to be bad. Stopped into AT&T to purchase new phones this morning . Two employees were working with two other customers. There was no communication as far as welcoming us into the store, or even ANY acknowledgment that we were even there. After standing around for 15+ minutes I interrupted one of the employees and asked how long it would be before we could get help. The reply was probably 15 to 30 minutes. I'm OK with the store being busy and employees helping customers. I am not OK with not even being acknowledged at all with any idea of when they may have time to help me. A SIMPLE "welcome, we will be with you as soon as we can'" would have been perfect and acceptable. Super disappointed. Will deal with my phones at another place or go online. I purchased 2 IPhones last Friday, we got both phones last night, and my phone freezes up, it zooms in and out on certain apps instead of scrolling up or down, it does not work properly. I called at@t customer service number and they said I could return it no problem. I go to the store, they didn't have any in stock (understandable with the holidays), but told me they need to charge me a 55 dollar restock fee or I can get ahold of Apple....... I got a bunk phone from them and they want to charge me to replace it? I've been a customer for 12 years, never been late on payments and that's how I was treated. Ah... just like any place that sells the latest technologies, you'll spend an entire afternoon here just waiting for someone to help you. I'm not sure if it's because the sales people are incompetent, or the customers they're helping are taking are complete idiots. To be fair, they get their fair share of old people who can't figure out how to send a text or how to get a different ringtone. Regardless, the place is S-L-O-W. And they're scammers. My company used to have an account here, with something like 25 phone lines. So I go in to get a new phone for a number we ALREADY have. We just need a new phone, cuz the old one is ancient. So I find a phone for this number and I tell the guy I want it. He gives me a price of over $250 dollars, because I'm not purchasing it with a plan. "But, I already have a plan," I say. "We need a new phone for that plan." "Sorry, that phone number isn't approved for an upgrade yet." "Uh, who cares? I'm PAYING for the phone, not asking for a free upgrade. We have a billion phones with you people. Why can't I get it at the price I would get it for 2 months from now (when the phone IS approved for an upgrade)?" I mean, you'd think that a place that was charging us over $2,000/mo for our service would let me have the $80 price on the phone. Wouldn't letting me pay $80 today be more beneficial to them then letting me have the phone for free two months from now? Well, apparently they don't see it that way. Ugh. read more

I do not know for sure what they do here, they will not cooperate with their corporate resources, I.E. one of the "Impossible to understand" foreigners on their tech support that tell someone unfortunate enough to be their customer that they will not help them with their phone problem. If you want good service, go to Verizon, or if you want the best price, tech support you can clearly understand, and they are honest too. Flee from this place. read more

He is very high techy and is very particular. However angel read him so well. He switched from having an iPhone for years even!!! I love AT&T but this location is awful! I called the AT&T customer service line to figure out what I needed to do BEFORE going in. Verified the information many times. When going in the guy said the information was wrong, and was just rude about it, no interest in helping me resolve it. No interest in giving decent customer service, rude tone in his voice, spoke to me like I was an idiot. Ended up just leaving and going to another location just so I wouldn't have to deal with him. i work in customer service, so not only do I know how to treat a customer, but I know how not to treat the person providing the customer service, I was very nice about everything, and he was really just flat out rude. read more

AT&T is for the dogs...and this location doesn't help their situation. High monthly rates. And their 800-number customer service is worse than Verizons. And I'm not saying that just because their reps are in India and can't understand a word you're saying -- let alone actually help you. But back to the store. A longer wait if they are crowded. This is the absolute WORST business customer service we have ever experienced. From either very poor or zero communication with us or across departments, there has been little to no follow up on anything! From the get go, phones were linked to the owners personal account, conflicting information was provided, and the whole transaction was devoid ANY useful assistance. We received our phones a MONTH after set up with them. We are an extremely busy healthcare clinic and when our phones were down over 12 hours (vs. the 2 hour expectation given) we not only missed a huge amount of business, but also potentially missed very important or even life threatening calls. After all of that, this is where the nightmare actually began! The multitude of reps we've been passed around to in various different departments either "can't find" or verify our account (even with phone numbers, "corrected" account number and fan pin and all IN HAND), only to either pass us on to some other obscure useless department, or conveniently "lose the call" in transfer (and believe me, we tried both the honey AND vinegar approach). While trying to configure our phones, one which came broken, with no overnighted replacement as promised (yep.. still waiting on it!) and after countless HOURS spent on the phone trying to get features set up we have still yet to talk to one human being that seems to give a flying f$%@ to be of any assistance. And the best part? Our caller ID comes up with the office managers FULL NAME- rather than the business name! If you want to keep your sanity AND money in tact- DO NOT CHOOSE AT&T AS YOUR BUSINESS SERVICE PROVIDER!!! read more

Terrible customer service! Rude salespeople. When I asked to see the manager I had to wait 40 minutes. An older gentleman came in and waited for someone to help him. After a long wait he walked up to the table and asked if there was anyone who could help him and the sales rep said "do you see that I am with these ladies and there is no one else in the store? No, there is no one here to help you." I responded with "that was rude!" I told him that that was the second rude comment I had heard from him today. I had two issues I needed their assistance with. I brought in two flip phones to have one activated with the sim card from the other, and I needed a new protective cover on my Samsung 7. He didn't listen and took out the sim from the Samsung and put it in the flip phone. when he fixed that screw up, it lost the text messages and voice mails. I was so pissed because I had recently lost an old army buddy from the early 70's. His voice mails and text messages were lost because that idiot didn't listen to what I said I needed done. I've never had to wait to get help. The employees try their best to get to everyone in a timely manner, but as usual, if there's a long line, then you'll have to wait...they don't want to seem like they're rushing the customers that they are helping. If I have any questions what-so-ever I come here knowing that they'll have the answer, or if they don't they'll contact someone right away that will be able to help me. I had problems with my iPhone 4gs when I first purchased it and they were unable to help me, but they contacted the Apple store up north and set up an appointment for me. It wasn't a big problem, I use my phone so much that the screen was starting to overheat. I went to the Apple store the next day and they were able to exchange my phone for me, no charge at all. What I really enjoy about this store is simply the fact that they have great customer service. They are always welcoming, never pressure me or anyone that I'm with to purchase anything. read more

I would not recommend this store to anyone. I have been an AT&T customer for over ten years and I have never had a problem with any of the stores like I did at this one. My wife and I went to this AT&T store last week and left very upset. It took over 15 minutes before anyone greeted us or even acknowledged we were there (or offered to put us on a waiting list). Customer service representatives would walk by and deliberately not make eye contact so as not to have to engage my wife and I. I understand a store gets busy, but to not let the customer know you see them and will help them at some point is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. After my wife and I were put on the waiting list, a man came in and talked to one of the customer service representatives about how he was on the waiting list but left for a while and still wanted to be helped. The customer service representative put his name at the front of the list ahead of us (and others). When it was getting to be our turn (about an hour later), I asked one of the representatives if there was a manager I could talk to. The manager (I believe his name was Eric) could not have been more rude. I talked to him about not being greeted for a while and about how the gentlemen who had lost his spot in line was put ahead of us. Eric didn't seem to care. He said it was his office policy and that's how things work. He said it's the same thing as being at the DMV (which last time I checked, if they call your number at the DMV and you're not there, they go to the next number). We told him we didn't agree, but the main point was by their actions, it was very clear we were not important to them. Instead of taking ownership and saying, "Hey you know what, that wasn't right" which was all we wanted, he started arguing with us and telling us about how it's his policy and that's how he does things before throwing his hands up and saying, "I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about this..." Totally inappropriate. There is an AT&T in Costco and one on Lancaster. After my visit, I would suggest them or checking out Verizon. read more

AT&T are just about the worst phone company I have EVER dealt with. Took 15 minutes for someone to come out and help us pick out a new phone and plan. 2 year contract, was suppose to get 2 $50.00 rebate for the 2 phones I bought and never received it from the company or otherwise. I absolutely hate these people 90 dollars a month for 400 minutes on both phones, no data, no text or anything like that. I switched to Consumer Cellular 4 months before my contract was up, cancelled my phone service with them and they continued to charge me 90 dollars for every month until the contract was up, now that is in collections, which I have worked out a deal with them to pay them off. Least to say, AT &T sucks and I do not recommend them to anyone. read more
