Later upon viewing the receipt, what they've actually done is tack on extra fees for some Ready?Go! Package and a REDUX membership. We were not asked if we wanted these, nor told that we would be paying them. When I called to ask about them, they first tried to claim that they were in place of Verizon's standard $40 upgrade fee (I called Verizon; this is false). Then they claimed that the Ready?Go! package was for data transfer to the new device, which they didn't actually do for us. They also charged us $10 more in MA tax than it should have been at 6.25% of the cost of the phone. I called them and they refuse to refund the services we never agreed to, so I opened a dispute with my credit card company. I'm also filing a formal complaint with Verizon to revoke their status as an authorized retailer, and I highly suggest you all do the same. Let's put these criminals out of business.

Or "the best option is to upgrade my phone" that we had to step in back and wait for a specific person to ask about pricing and other cr@p even though i had a new battery in hand 10 minutes went by just about and my bf suggested that we go to ifix here. A young gentleman in a chair had happily asked for my phone over and the battery and with no further questions asked, he took my case off, the back off, places the new battery in and screws it in place and hands it to me. Then waves his hand with a smile and tells me "youre all set" We even weren't sure if it was a joke or not but he did all the work in under 5 minutes and no charge whatsoever. TAKE THAT APPLE!!!!! I really recommend you come to the store if you have physical problems with your phone !!

Tonight I had help from Will to buy a new cordless phone for Dad's house, a cable to connect my laptop to Dad's monitor, and headphones. Will was super polite and knowledgeable. I know some folks like to diss on these big stores, and sure, they could be more densely staffed, but what store today couldn't be? Bottom line is that the people I have met at Staples are invariably supportive and patient with both me and my father (a big fan of the copy/publishing department for help with his writing handbook). I bring it in today because she needs a new screen protector. Well turns out there is a huge crack UNDER the screen protector. The one that is advertised to not break even with being hit by a hammer etc. false advertisement for sure. So not only did THEIR screen protector break, but THEIR screen as well. This is not the first screen protector I've had to fix with them either, my husbands began lifting only a short time after putting it on. They proceed to tell me they are going to give me the screen protector for $15 then. NO. I'm not giving you any more of my money. So he says he will give me the screen protector for free. Well sure now we have a covered screen but the cracks underneath are there. They refused to stick by their product. Even compared it to hitting a piñata. It could break or not. So I speak to the owner and he says he can replace the screen but for $80. Are you out of your mind ?! I'm not giving you another dime of my money. My Mac computer had an issue that took several hours to solve (it wasn't even an Apple-based software product that they were helping me with), and throughout the visit multiple Apple staff worked collaboratively to fix the problem (at NO CHARGE to me, I might add) and my Macbook is running better than it has in years. No one came and we asked the woman again and she wouldn't take our name and told us to wait. My husband is disabled and the security guard was concerned and came over and offered him a seat. He declined and we continued to wait even though some of the workers were huddled and chatting amongst themselves. A kind customer offered us his appointment spot. At this point we decided to leave. This is a very poorly run poorly run store. We probably would not return to this store.
