Visited: Sunday 12/21/25 at 10:15 AM I walked into the store with only a few people ahead of me--a family of about 5-6 being helped by a male employee who I later learned was the manager. He looked right at me and said absolutely nothing. No "Welcome in," no "I'll be right with you," not even basic acknowledgment. I stood there waiting while he continued helping the family as if I didn't exist. A few minutes later, a young woman came out from the back and said she could help the next person. Someone else stepped up, and I continued waiting. Fast‑forward 45 minutes, and I still had not been acknowledged by anyone. I stepped outside briefly to take a phone call because it's rude to talk on the phone inside a small store. When I walked back in, the manager--who had ignored me the entire time--finally spoke to me, and the first thing out of his mouth was something along the lines of, "Please don't go in and out, it messes up our count." That was literally the first time I had stepped out. He then asked if I had a "quick question." I asked if they had the iPhone 17 Pro Max. He said yes, and that was the end of the conversation. No offer to help, no follow‑up, nothing. He went right back to ignoring me. A few minutes later, my wife called to check on me. I stepped to the corner of the store to talk quietly. She ended up calling another location, and they confirmed they had the phone and could help me immediately. She texted me the update, and I walked out. I will never return to this location. The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Two employees working in a high‑traffic area is wild, especially when the other location had six employees and gave me excellent service. I wouldn't recommend this Topsy location to anyone--not even a dog. If the manager happens to read this: acknowledge your customers and treat people with basic respect. The way you handled me was unacceptable and extremely disappointing. read more

I have been going to this store for almost 3 years ever since we moved here. I have bought a couple phones from this store and they have ALWAYS BEEN helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. Especially after being lied to at the William st. store (a manager named Steve) I'll never go anywhere else but Topsy. The only bad experience here was with a Samsung phone over two years ago. The problem was lack of training on the part of the young woman. Understandably, she has left the organization. We often pay our bill at this location and avoid dealing with At&t operators. We can also add or remove a phone line from our account and purchase accessories. Biggest plus is every time we screw something up we simply bring it here and they miraculously fix it. No charge. Glad to leave a NEGATIVE REVIEW FOR THE young gal with glasses who helped the man that needed to activate his phone and get a military discount. She patiently helped him for 90 minutes and when I said I felt like I was part of that transaction as well it took so long she had the nerve to tell me I was rude and that in no way could help me after I sat there all that time. Then she sent me to Best Buy and told me I should have interrupted since I just had a quick question. I told her I hoped it made her feel better that she was the one actually being rude and thinks she can get away with it because no one else was in the store. Yes the young mean lady who made me wait from noon til 1:30 PM and refused to help me. May 19, 2019 at the ATT topsy stire between 12 and 1:30 PM. This place is the absolute worst att store we have ever dealt with. On September 11 we went In and ordered a new iPhone 12 pro. They said it would be there Wednesday... it didn't show up. We kept checking every day, But the associates kept saying check again tomorrow. We Asked them to Look up the order and see when it would arrive and they told us that they could not do that. We called every day for over a week and were told they couldn't access our order information. We asked them every day if we could just get a phone from a different store if they had them in stock. And we were told no we could not do that repeatedly. Every time we called they told us they were unable to find our information they were unable to tell us when the order would arrive and they were unable to tell us the status of the order. Finally 11 days later Erin magically can check the status of the order and saw it was back ordered until October 13. We specifically picked a phone that was not on backorder because we needed it ASAP. So then Erin says she has a phone on hold for us at another store and we can go pick it up tonight. Great! We're excited. We get there and she held THE WRONG PHONE. We ended up canceling the order (which we were told we couldn't do at the Topsy lane location. These people are absolutely the worst at their job. And I'm pretty sure we spoke to nearly every one of them. Save yourself the headache and just do not go to this location unless you like dealing with idiots who don't give a hoot about customer service. read more

My wife and I originally purchased our iPhones at the Topsy Lane Store. Ashley Hannah, the Business Assistant Manager was absolutely awesome. She knows her products inside and out. She is patient and explains everything clearly. This lady obviously wants to please her customers. We have returned several times with issues with our phones and every time she clears up the issue with a smile. Yep, Randy took care of me too. I had called both stores in Carson City before heading down there and this store was the only one that answered their phone. The wait was short and the help was great. I wanted a new iphone and also to upgrade my other phones on my plan. I was able to do most of the things at the store, I did have to go back to my home town and pick up another phone that Randy didn't have but besides that, all in all it was a good experience. read more

Came into this store to get setup with a new phone plan. Two lines one for me and one for my Husband. Hes law enforcement and ATT offers a nice law enforcement discount thats why we decided on ATT. So we come in and are helped by Erin, who seems really friendly and helpful. She signed us up for paperless billing, giving us a discount, Autopay, giving us another discount and then of course, took pictures of the law enforcement discount and put that in there as well. Great. Told us our bill would be right around $110 a month for both lines. Unfortunately the store didn't have my phone so we had to order it and then they only had one color of my husband's phone sp he didn't get a choice. Seems as if this store never has items in stock. Anyways, Erin tells me it'll take 3 to 5 business days for my phone to come in and we leave feeling satisfied. 11 BUSINESS days later, I still had no phone. I called Erin at the store to see if my phone had come in and she said she didn't think so but she woild check and call me right back. I never got a returned call.. It finally came in after 2 weeks. I didn't mind the wait but at that point id paid for service for half the month on a phone I didn't have. So I have the phone for a while, my first bill is super big but she did warn me of that. I let a couple bills go by and when they never went down, I called corporate. They told me Erin had never signed me up for paperless billing and in fact, somehow deleted my email out of the account entirely. She also had never signed me up for autopay and last but not least never input the law enforcement discount. She basically did nothing. The rep on the phone even told me that they put us on a plan where the law enforcement discount wasn't allowed to be used!? Wth!? And for the final straw, she put us on the "next up program" for $10 a month (program where you can upgrade your phone after some time) .. she never once told us what this next up was during our encounter with her or asked us if we would want it on our plan. I've never been so dissapointed with service before. In the end, I ended up taking the hour long trip back to the store during the COVID pandemic and went in to speak to Nathan who was much more helpful. He gave me a discount on my current bill to bring it down to what I should have been paying the entire time and signed me up for autopay etc. This wasn't my first exchange with Nathan, ive been in the store to talk to him other times and have been very pleased with my experience. He's the only reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of one. I wish I could write a separate review to give him 5 stars alone. read more

Randy is the man to go to for all your ATT needs! Went in there looking to purchase a phone outright (not possible unless you go through Apple directly). Long story short got 2 new phones and a new account set up. Randy was friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in.. personable and patient (we had 3 little kids with us). ERIN is full of bologny. Waited there 6 hours for 4 phone lines. 6 HOURS. For real. After the 5th hour, and the 4th time she said come back in an hour, I walked back in and politely and professionally stated that this is b s. When we came back for the 5th time, she met me at my car and stated that my credit was not good enough and could not qualify for the trade in special and that I would have to pay $3,200 for the 4 phones. I have a 750fico. I just bought 2X $50K cars the week before. If my 2 young sons were not with me, I would have told her how she emotionally traumatized our family for 6 hours. I just left as my kids do not need to see their dad in forward posture form on a lying, time wasting young lady. Unreal. Most horrible experience of my life. PLEASE do not go there as mark my words, you will waste at least 3+ hours. and get screwed. read more

I had a horrible experience here on October 5th. We came in around 4:30 after they reopened from lunch and we were the only ones in the store. We talked to Keith about upgrading our iPhone 6 to the new iPhone 11 pro. I asked him if he could help us figure out how much it would cost when all was said and done. He told me to read the sign and it would tell me. I said ok, I can read the sign but how much will it be after taxes and the monthly payment? And he pointed to the pricing next to the phone and told me to 'read the sign' and annunciated the words as if I'm retarded and can't read. Honestly I've never been treated so poorly anywhere and especially at&t. He refused to pull up our account information and was incredibly rude the entire time. I wanted to get a new phone but trying to get him to help me was like pulling teeth. Why are you working in customer service if it's so difficult for you to have a simple conversation? See my review of the South Lake Tahoe ATT store and compare it to this one, it's the reason I traveled 75 miles round trip and burned an entire evening hoping to find a solution. FOUND IT! Ashley and I believe the manager's name was Chris at the Topsy Store are so many levels above the South Lake Tahoe store in their treatment of customers (in my experience) that I will drive over the mountain every time to deal with them. YOU CAN TRAIN PRODUCTS, BUT YOU CAN'T TEACH CHARACTER. Ashley and Chris spent over an hour with me when it was all said and done. They made no commission on my insurance claim and myriad questions about options, plans, phones, insurance, data security, etc. and they knew that from the time I started because they took the time to listen to the problems I was having with my phone and what I wanted in my next phone and plan. PATIENCE over product is what real service is about and they delivered. Not only did they spend an hour answering my questions, they played devil's advocate and helped me shop others against their options acting totally in my best interest. (I was shopping Sprint/Verizon/ATT/WalMart/BestBuy, all in that shopping complex to make sure I was doing the right thing). There were about 5 different ways I could have gone on my decision and I needed to mull it over and debate the points with someone knowledgeable so I could make the best move for my tech and my wallet. Not only did they answer all the standard questions, they had all the answers that the other guys didn't. The South Lake Tahoe store rep was so focused on pushing product he didn't even here my whole situation as I explained it. Ashley and Chris both helped me and traded off as they juggled 7 other customers while I was in there (2 of which had sales/downloads/troubleshooting that lasted 45 minutes or more). These two had several extended and involved customer situations walk in within 20 minutes and lasted 45 min each and they fielded them like the Pros they showed they are. Working with everyone at once trading off while they were waiting on hold for tech support or waiting for downloads to new products they just sold. They also turned me on to solutions that the South Lake Tahoe store said didn't exist, go figure, this just shows they care about their work and are informed about their products and services and how it impacts the customer's usage and security. HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE all the others I spoke with this evening in the 4 other stores I went to. I'm thankful I got to deal with people who care when it really mattered to my wallet and my needs.
