Quality/Quantity - Still shopping for a new pair of boots. I am really picky and still haven't found that perfect pair... Well, I did find it on one of our trips, in Texas, but I was just too lazy to carry it back. It might have been a mistake on my part. Atmosphere - Smaller than the locations we just visited in Las Vegas, see other Yelp. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week from 9am or 10am to 6pm or 8pm. Yelp hours differ slightly. Service - Good, greeted when we walked in. They offered to help. I declined as I am just window shopping until I find that PERFECT boot! Price - Reasonably priced. Wow, we need more people in this world like Mr. Douglas, who assisted us today in our visit. What a pleasant gentleman! He informed us of sales going on, regularly checked in while we were shopping (but did not overdo it!) and was an absolute delight while ringing us out and assisting with my questions. One thing in particular that I also appreciated was that he was *constantly* working around the store in a meaningful manner while he was not assisting customers. As a manager myself, he is the exact type of employee I strive to have in my business. The store itself is clean and packed with merchandise. I saw a few pieces of clothing I really liked, but unfortunately none in size small. That would be my *only* issue, seems like they need to stock heavier on smaller sizes :) Thank you Doug, for your excellent customer service and way of making a first time customer in your store feel important! read more

What crummy service this store has! We waited a very long time to be acknowledged by anyone at the counter. It appeared someone important was visiting and all of the employees were standing around this person. Finally when the girl shows up she's rather short with us and focused more on helping someone else with their transaction. She was also very rude to this other person, lecturing them about the return they were making. I would recommend going to Reno and avoiding this store if you want good service. Other than that the store was very clean. read more

I came into Boot Barn first thing in the morning to get new boots since mine no longer fit and I was greeted immediately by a very nice woman who was stocking a rack. The store was very clean and looked pristine! Doug came over right away to help me with boots. He was the nicest man and he was very knowledgeable when it came to fit and care of my boots! He checked on me a few times afterward (not too much), but enough to take the items I was collecting as I shopped! He clearly loves his job at Boot Barn! :) His kind and energetic personality was refreshing and I left the store happy because of him. Emily helped me at the register and she was very sweet as well. Wow, do not order ship to store at this boot barn. I ordered a shirt for pick up at this boot barn for our daughter and ups and the boot barn website both said my package was delivered and when I got there no one in the store had seen my package. After we waited a little they said they didn't have it but maybe later when the ups truck comes back because it was so full the driver couldn't find the package. This normally wouldn't be a big deal but we were visiting from the bay area and were getting that shirt for a special occasion. Now we don't need it cause we are going home early morning and the special occasion has passed. Well, of course 2 hours after we were in store and got to our hotel room they call and say they have it.‍‍ the package came from sparks to carson city and had 6 days to get it together. Im sorry but it just doesn't make sense. The staff was very unhelpful too boot. Will not be back to this one. read more

Always notice a strangely bored looking and disinterested staff... Been in there at least 10 (ten times ), too...They seem totally uncaring... With Cal Ranch now in Carson, Boot Barn is going to have to step up their weak game big time to survive. They do (as they should) have a large selection of boots, but nowhere near the amount and variety of great stuff that Cal Ranch sells... read more

I live in Sacramento, CA and am so grateful for the staff here! I found a pair of boots online that i fell in love with and they just so happened to be on sale. About three weeks ago I started the hunt for them.I called around and none of my local stores had my size, and they were out online. My local stores told me the closes pair in my size are Carson City and Fresno, but that the stores were all in the middle of inventory and couldn't make any transfers. It was a long shot, but I called the Carson City store to see if there was anything they could do for me. The girl that helped me said it would be no problem to hold them for me until inventory was over, so they could transfer them down. I was a little weary about having them hold boots for 3 weeks, i was sure they would accidentally be sold. I even called once a week later to make sure they still had them waiting for me, and they did. Inventory was over on the 11th and I got a call on the 12th that my boots had arrived at my local store. thank you thank you thank you! I love my new boots! You guys helped me get a gorgeous, discontinued pair and totally saved the day!!! read more

Went in to buy a new pair of boots. Found a pair I loved, just not in my size. I finally tracked someone down, because apparently a customer walking all over the store with a boot in their hand is normal? I asked this person if they happened to have the boot in my size. She says, everything we have is out, you can look and see if it is in your size, if not we don't have it. She never offered to help look or suggest we order a pair in my size. Purchased 150$ pair of work boots after managers recommendation I spend 8 plus hours a day on my feet. Asked if I could return them if they were uncomfortable and was told I could within thirty days. I gave three weeks to break in still blisters on my feet. So decided to return them and the on duty manager called the manager that sold them to me and they decided that they could only be returned if they had not been worn and the tags were on them. So basically stuck with junk very dissatisfied will not spend another dollar there. Don't take them for their word read more
