We had stopped at Verizon beforehand, just to see what kind of deals they had going on. We were told that we would receive $400+ each to trade in our current phones. The guy at AT&T immediately asked if we were already AT&T customers. When we said we were and just wanted to upgrade our phones, he seemed to lose any interest in helping us. He told me that my phone would not be worth anything as a trade-in. I asked how it could be worth $400 at Verizon and nothing here. His response was, "I'm not going to try to compete. You're not a new customer that I would be signing up. So, there is nothing in it for me and it makes no difference to me whether you remain a customer or go somewhere else." WOW... All he had to say is, "That is pretty competitive and, unfortunately, we can't compete with that offer." Needless to say, we switched to Verizon.

    I took over a business in Nov 2019 and transferred the account to me. Found a MUCH better deal with…read moreright away and ported my number and service. During the November transfer and recent cancellation, no one from AT&T ever mentioned a certain time frame I must stay with them or an extreme $250 early termination fee (even with the 2 hr call to transfer the service to my name). This is ridiculous and if it's not waived, I will never do business with AT&T again. Trying to get a hold of someone at AT&T with common sense is impossible. Even when I dropped off my equipment at UPS, the UPS worker said "Keep your receipt b/c AT&T WILL TRY AND CHARGE YOU saying you didn't turn in the equipment" What a terrible reputation!

The dingbat from customer service with whom I was on the phone assured me that she had adjusted the rate back to what it had been. However, when I saw the next bill, she had done nothing. Fed up with Xfinity, I decided to change my internet service provider to another company. Xfinity sent me an email to pay the prorated balance of my account so I called them to discuss the adjustment to my account. They said my wait time was around 70 minutes but they would call me back so I didn't have to wait on hold. Needless to say, nobody ever called back. Then I got an email from them threatening to send my account to collections if I didn't pay. I called back the next day with no satisfaction. I tried to log into my account but they needed to text me a code to access my account. Despite the fact that I tried to get them to send me a code TEN TIMES without ever receiving a text from them, I called them back AGAIN and now I am waiting for the promised return call. Simply put, Xfinity sucks. Their customer service is the worst and it has always been bad. Some of the representatives they put on the phone don't follow through with what they say they will do and it is difficult to understand them in the first place. Would I recommend Xfinity for any of their services? Absolutely, as a company to AVOID!

    I had requested that TV services be terminated in June 2022. I returned all of the cable equipment…read more(receivers/DVR) related to the TV service. The company started a new billing cycle on 1-8-2023 and informed me of the charges on 12-12-2023. They included a $78 fee for cable TV services and a $21 charge for TV broadcast fees. I told them that all of the equipment was returned so there should be no TV related charges. They insisted that because they offer TV streaming over the Internet that the charges were legitimate and that they must be paid in full. I refuse to pay for services/rentals/fees that were not rendered and they would not take any action to resolve. Clearly this is criminal in nature. You cannot bill someone knowingly that a service was not rendered and use a hypothetical reason that one "could" use their services over the Internet while refusing to remove the charges. This type of activity is really fit for a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) lawsuit. I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. The idea that they could force TV services without equipment to watch TV is absurd. The excuse that one "could" stream their content is absurd and they do not even care.

In a similar situation years ago, my husband gave Charter 'authorization' to let me change the account without his permission. We found out today, that the exception to that policy is 'password changing'. Really? And do I follow one step behind him as well? Considering I have ALL of the account information including four digit pin, address, zip, social security, etc., it is NOT a matter of protecting our account for security purposes. That's an insult to even use that as an excuse. They weren't helpful nor were they the least bit interested in resolving our issue. Due to a regulated industry, they continue to get away with horrible customer service and horrible policies. Deregulate them like the phone companies and things will change real fast. Calling Dish and Direct TV next!

Unfortunately, the replacement screen was faulty and had to be brought back approximately six weeks later. We were initially told the repair would be covered under warranty; when we went to pick up the phone, the repair person claims - after the fact - two of the internal water damage sensors were triggered so the repair isn't covered. Despite explaining that the water damage was the cause for the initial replacement, and the repair person being unable to show any water damage to the first replacement screen, we were still forced to pay for a second replacement screen. To add insult to injury, the second repair then damaged the iPhone's front camera, which disabled the facial recognition feature. We came back three more times for the repair person to then claim that the water damage was the cause of the broken camera despite the fact that the camera was working before both the first and second repairs and, once again, no evidence that water had damaged the camera in any way. TAKE YOUR PHONES SOMEWHERE ELSE... this business is dishonest and a rip off.
