I fell on my laptop computer last week. The case and screen were damaged. I took it in to Scott at Computer World to see if it could be repaired. He called me after several hours and said it would be too costly to fix (which I suspected) but he could help by recovering the data in the hard drive. I gave him an external drive and was so happy that the process was successful! His fee was very reasonable and he was very pleasant to deal with. It cost $280 to get it fixed and will get it shipped back to my house in 5 days instead of the 3 months and $645 they wanted to charge me at Computer world With what Apple charged me and the $345 that Computer World ripped me off it only cost $625 for a $280 repair! read more

OK ~ so you're reading all the great reviews on Yelp when.... no picture...no audio....no power? CRAP!!!! Now what? You have just entered the Twilight Zone. Who do you trust? Who do you call to help you through this quagmire? (Now is when the Ghostbusters song will start playing inside your head) I have used these guys twice and have been mildly surprised at how reasonably priced they are. Being a "playa" on the puter and not a geek, these guys could have told me I needed a new motherboard or whatever else is expensive and I would have forked the $$ over. They didn't !! They take the time to explain exactly what IS wrong and the exact amount it will cost you. I have even been there and witnessed them guiding a customer via landline on how to fix a problem themselves. You'd never hear this 2 Circuit City or Best Buy. So, before you lose everything on your system (including CW's phone number) jot their number down and keep it near you. You won't be disappointed as they are fantastic computer wizards...and very friendly too. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. They are not honest - say they will repair your computer while it just sits on the shelf. It takes FOREVER for them to fix, then when you get it back it is still broken. I would look for another place. Ask friends. Do your research. If you have an Apple product, take it to Apple. They know their product and will fix it at a much quicker and cheaper cost. read more

I am usually reluctant to provide negative feedback for a variety of reasons, but in this case I feel I must. We took our Macbook to this store in January 2017 for repair and have received unsatisfactory service and abysmal communication from Computer World. In a nutshell, our computer was functional, but would randomly shut down when we brought it to Computer World. Now, after hundreds of dollars in repairs costs paid, our computer does not work at all, and I cannot get a call back from this company. There are many similar unsatisfactory reviews on Yelp, so all I can say is stay away from this terrible provider. I suspect the staff will know who wrote this review, and if so, I would certainly welcome a phone call back. I'm not holding my breath though. read more

Do not take any device to this place. Took parents pc, had to go back 3 times, still never fixed. They wiped the hard drive, went back to see if they could recover, they wanted to charge to put their files on external hard drive. They do not know what they are doing at all. Would not trust them with anything!! Would put no stars if I could! read more
