I needed a last minute data transfer from my computer that died before going on the road to deliver a load of supplies to the hurricane areas in N Carolina. I gave them a chance to fix it, they returned the computer still broken and now with cracks in the casing. Now having the time where I did not need the laptop for a while and scared of further damage, I took it to a different store. Here were some of the damages incurred under Arbor Computers care: -Broken backplate -Broken bottom plate -Missing screws -Screen detached and held in place by super thick double sided tape -Damaged cables The business that fixed the damages said they had never seen anything like it and were baffled how Arbor Computers had cocked up such a simply job so badly. They also fixed the camera Arbor Computers deemed unfixable without a $700 motherboard replacement; the motherboard was not the issue, not even close. Once again, if you value your electronics do not take it here, especially not a gaming laptop. They have no idea what they are doing and have no care for client's property.

We replaced it only to find that the power cords had been changed out from the big box store working in it... which then burned up the new fan and aio cooler. It was a MESS. I have never had this many issues with any unit I had built in the past or with the big box retailer who was selling the components. After some consulting, returns/exchanges, Seth and I ordered a different brand AIO. He installed it, clean installed windows, did some cable management, and got my computer back up and running. He did much more labor due to the issues that arose throughout the process, but never raised his price above his maximum estimate. It was an incredible experience. She was friendly and reassuring and understood my problem. I dropped off the heavy printer (by the airport) and it was taken out of my car. The next business day Kyle fixed it! The cost was reasonable. He also gave me some advice about other issues. Since printing/scanning reliably is quite important, we had been unable to do some necessary tasks. My laptop crashed in a way that was unrecoverable, so I brought it here after seeing the great…read morereviews. Next time I need a repair, I'll have to try somewhere else because this place is CRAZY expensive. I paid $150 just for them to figure out what the solution was. That fee is not applied to what you pay for the actual repair should you decide to have them fix it like it would at a car repair place; it's just $150 to have them tell you what's wrong. They then quoted me $250 to reinstall windows and fix a broken hinge. I was iffy but said yes partially due to the sunken cost of the diagnosis and mostly because they promised me they would be able to upgrade my laptop to Windows 11, which the laptop had been telling me was not possible. So this seemed somewhat worth it to me to have them do. I went to pick up the fixed laptop, and immediately noticed that they had to drill totally new screw holes into it to install the new hinge. It looks pretty bad, but I'm really not picky about aesthetics so I let it go. But then they started it up to show me it was working, and I cannot even explain how INCREDIBLY slow it was as they tried to use it. Like, Windows 98 was faster than this thing was running, and I had previously never had any speed issues with it. I said something along the lines of how disappointed I was that I had now spent $400 and honestly couldn't even realistically use the laptop anymore. They offered to just install Windows 10 again instead, but like I said, the main reason I decided to pay all that money was because they assured me they could upgrade it to Windows 11. So they ended up refunding me for the repairs (I'm still out the diagnosis fee) and wiped the laptop and gave it back to me. After going home and doing some research on my own, I was able to reinstall Windows 10 on my own in about a half hour for $10. I cannot believe they were going to charge me almost $200 to do that!!! My laptop is now working exactly as it did before, and I learned my lesson.
